Today, I enjoyed a yummy Mexican lunch at Dos Amigos. From the outside, the establishment looks uninviting considering it's on the side of an isolated road. However, don't let that deceive you from the authentic Mexican ambience and delicious food. The inside is decorated with very colorful and festive l Mexican murals, tables, and chairs. It definitely gives off that real Mexican vibe. Ambience rate 10/10. They give your classic chips and salsa as a complimentary starter. What was ordered were... 1. Carne/Steak Tacos: - The steak wasn't anything special, it tasted bland. Thankfully, they gave a side of salsa verde for some taste. Rate 5.5/10. 2. Fajitas de Carne: - This dish had very good seasoning and mixed well with the onions, mushrooms, peppers, and tomatoes. However, it was extremely oily which was a downside. Rate 7.5/10. 3. Enchiladas con Mole Poblano: - This place makes the BEST enchiladas con mole I have ever tasted. The sauce is super savory and sweet. The tortillas are cooked perfectly soft in the middle and crispy on the edges. And my meat of choice is ground beef which they season nicely. Lastly, it is melted in a good amount of cheese. They normally put a ton of mole poblano sauce on the plate which I love, however this time they skimped out which was upsetting. So I wish they consistently doused the dish in that sauce. Nevertheless, this is my favorite dish due to how delectable it tastes. Rate 10/10. *each dish comes with a side of rice and beans* The prices for each dish are fair considering the amount that is given. The staff is very friendly, however the service is a little slow when you first order. Once you place your order, the food does come out relatively quick, so that's nice. Service rate 9/10. Overall, I would describe this place as a hidden gem in terms of their enchiladas con mole poblano. I always come here to this specific restaurant just for that dish. In regard to their other dishes I've tried, they are just subpar. However, I'd still recommend this place for everyone to try at least once!

Service was great! Food was pretty good. Chips and salsa were really good. Lots of cheese on the enchiladas for my fellow cheese lovers.

Not a good one. The waiter took us to our table and we waited for good 1o minutes if we want a drink. I went for a beer and my husband decided just for water since he was driving. I keep looking at the waiter to see if he will turn his eyes to where we were seating.,,,nothing happened,,, he kept talking to the lady who was wearing a pink sweater. Like trying to figure out if we were gay! Yes we are and we are here to eat and drink Mexican food. Finally we decided on Mole verde for me, which it wasn't mole more a green tomatillo sauce. The Cancun ceviche was a bit salty but really fresh. His attitude really made us feel unwelcome (the waiter). My husband had quesadillas de pollo, he said it unimpressed. People come from other countries escaping injustice and extreme poverty only to discriminate on other people in the USA. The place was a bit cold. Several heaters around the restaurant. One lady keep asking if everything was ok with the food I supposed. I'm gay I felt not welcome at your establishment my husband mentioned the same thing in the car. I never mentioned anything to him at the table. I left over 20% tip no hard feelings over you prejudice Jorge.

The pineapple aqua Fresca was sweet but not overpowering, wish they had strawberry one. For the tacos they bigger than street tacos by a mile and very generous with meat filling. Particularly the shrimp one was impressive since usually I find places that don't use jumbo size for shrimp tacos and just use popcorn size and a lot cilantro and onion to mask it. The consommé dip was incredible and glad they left chucks of beef in it like a little soup. The queso birria taco was not greasy or messy, right amount of cheese and beef. Some of us got coffees which took a bit but they were delicious. Definitely worth the wait. They have a good kids menu too. We got the frychos with chorizo as an appetizer which I've always loved but everyone at the table enjoyed them. Although I have my regular favorites I decided to try something off the brunch menu and I'm glad I did. I got the chilaquiles with green sauce and carne asada. It was very good. My only complaint was the steak wasn't cut up but that could be a personal preference. It tasted great. My husband got the breakfast torta with chorizo and really liked it. My mother in law got the breakfast omelet and she's very picky but loved it. The service was great the entire time. She even took a group photo for us at the end.

Our waitress, Angela, was awesome--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. We were quickly brought chips and salsa, and our drink order was taken. My wife ordered a margarita, and I went with a mango iced tea, which was really refreshing. We decided to skip appetizers this time and went straight to our entrées. My wife ordered the chicken Milanesa sandwich, which she absolutely loves--it's a staple for her whenever we come here. I ordered the combination platter with enchiladas suizas, a gringo taco, and a chicken quesadilla. Everything came out hot and tasted great, just like it always does. I also asked about one of the tequilas and ended up ordering a shot, which was a nice touch to the meal. Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and excellent service, the whole experience was fantastic. Frontera continues to be a reliable favorite for us, and we'll definitely be back again--as usual.

We got there around 7:30 on a Saturday night, and there was no wait! The establishment is actually quite large! We were immediately seated by the hostess. They brought out chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. The salsa is a bit spicy so if you have a sensitivity to spice, this will definitely have a kick! We waited about 15 minutes for anyone else to come over. Try hadn't even brought us water, which I was hoping they would've because the salsa was starting to burn! Our server (Natalia) finally came over and was very pleasant. We placed our order and the food came out timely. We both ordered the churrasco steak. The steak itself was very good, however the churrasco sauce they serve was bad. It was only oil. I ate my steak plain. The white rice had a tangy taste to it, and the beans had some grated cheese on top, which I could have done without. We had the tres leche for dessert which was DELICIOUS! If I go back here again, I will definitely try a different dinner dish. Aside for the long wait to get water and to get a server to come over, I would definitely try this place again. It has a nice atmosphere and good music playing in the background. I just hope that the service is good on a busier night.
