Great Mexican fast-food place that's part of the DosBros chain in Chicago and elsewhere. The store is right by the Sheridan STA station. It's a lot like Qdoba or Burrito Beach, though this location's menu is relatively small. The staff were exceptionally pleasant--let's hope this location sticks around and they keep up their standards. The menu has the basics: Burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. When I visited, the store had only opened the week before.

Going to be a new go to for a quick bite. The service was awesome. They let my partner try to barbacoa before ordering it. The queso is good and the combo option is a nice choice and you can get coke or Pepsi products. He audible said mmmm when biting into his burrito. Def recommend!

So, that's a pretty solid endorsement. I hadn't been here (or even heard of it, but I'm rarely in this part of the city). We were in the back room and it was a great little space for the event. The food was great (served buffet style, but from their regular menu. The avocado toast, fresh fruit, and potatoes were all extremely good). The servers were also super nice and attentive. It was easy to get to (about a 10 min walk from the Sheridan stop. Parking looks manageable when it's not a Cubs game day, which is why i took the train.)

Both times the service has been satisfactory but nothing particularly stood out on either visit. Uncommon Ground is walking distance to Wrigley Field which makes it convenient to grab lunch or dinner before the game. My boyfriend and I met up with some Chicago friends before the game on this last visit. I tried the fish and chips and the boyfriend had the mac and cheese with chorizo. Both were underwhelming. The fish was mostly batter and three small pieces of fish. Flavor was good and fries were hot and crispy but for $21 it felt like tastier fish sticks. The mac and cheese with chorizo was again good but portion was small for $25. My Chicago friends had the grilled chicken sandwich and it looked big. Maybe it depends on what you order but I doubt I'll give it a third try.

It wasn't nearly as busy as I'd thought for right before the concert, but still had plenty of people. Bartender was super attentive and friendly, constantly checking in, chatting with us, and getting us what we needed. I should mention that the seating situation was odd-- we had a party of 2 and the options we were offered were stand at the bar or go upstairs (outside, and it was nearly 100°). We took the standing at the bar option. There were several tables in that area not occupied the entire time we ate there, and to add to the oddness, a party of six came in as we were on our way out the door and they were offered indoor seating with a 20 minute wait. Weird! But food was worth it and would go again if I'm in the wrigleyville area!

For Restaurant Week 2026, you were met with a drink (beer, N/A, or bourbon), one starter 'snack', entree and dessert for $48. In comparison to other participating restaurants this was a steal. I visited without a reservation on Wednesday evening, and there was ample seating. My friends and I enjoyed a sample of foods from the #CRW menu. For the 'snacks' we got the brisket devil eggs, the brisket loaded fries, as well as the chicken wings. All were very tasty however, the loaded fries were the star. Now here is where things got good. For our entree we had the 'Little City Eats' which was brisket, 1/2 rack ribs, chicken legs AND TWO sides (which I got the mac n cheese and the baked beans.) All the food was tasty and for the tasting menu, I was impressed with how much food we were provided. To go containers are needed. For dessert we got the banana pudding, we were scraping the bottom of the jar. Sweet but not overbearing and layered with wafers, and whip cream! Overall the food, was tasty, and the service was attentive and knowledgeable.

We came here for a girls night out with a reservation for three and had such a great time. We sat inside and the interior was beautiful, but there was also plenty of outdoor seating available. For drinks, we ordered the cin cin espresso martini, Hugo's Vacation, witches brew, and rosé. Everything was well made, although I do think the cocktails were on the smaller side considering they were priced around $15-$18. For food, we ordered the Spicy Tagliolini di Granchio (definitely has a kick, but the crab is deshelled), Rigatoni Con Ragu, and the Chicken Diavola. The chicken was especially good for anyone who loves Mike's Hot Honey. It was a huge portion with crispy potatoes underneath and super saucy without actually being too spicy. All the food and drinks were tasty, but I definitely need to try the giant focaccia bread and Neapolitan-style pizza next time. They have this massive oven in the back that was imported from Italy, which was really cool to see.

The location is great and easy to get to, which is one of the reasons we decided to stop in. The atmosphere was fun, and the restaurant was very quiet that evening. Since it wasn't busy, we expected quick service and were looking forward to relaxing for a bit. Unfortunately, that's where our experience fell short. We were seated right away but then waited about 15 to 20 minutes without ever being greeted by a server. Multiple servers and bussers walked past our table several times, yet no one acknowledged us or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. It honestly felt like our table had been forgotten. Because we were never able to place an order, I can't comment on the food or drinks. We ended up leaving before anyone came to our table. The wait time itself wasn't the issue. We were seated immediately. The problem was waiting 15 to 20 minutes after being seated without receiving any service, especially at a nearly empty restaurant. As for value, it's hard to judge since we never had the opportunity to order anything. However, spending nearly 20 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us made the experience feel like a waste of time. It's unfortunate because the atmosphere and location were great, but the lack of service completely overshadowed the rest of the experience. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I can't recommend it.
