    Best employees!

So jazzed and happy that Bobby Coyote opened yet another Dos Coyotes in Folsom and even more importantly... closer to my home! Woohoo and thank you, Bobby. And of course, yes, I have eaten at the new location several times and of course this is a 5-star Yelp review as has been all my past Dos Coyotes' reviews. I love the food! Creative, fresh, and cooked consistently at every location and here as well. Same wonderful salsa bar and tequila drinks:). Same, same and same. And that is an excellent thing! Burritos, tacos, salads, fajitas, seasonal specials...it is all available along with alcohol/non alcoholic drinks. Food: 5 plus Yelp stars! The customer service is off the hook. These are happy employees giving their best and ready to help any customer no matter what he/she is doing. I know because I experienced it here and at every other location! Awesome people. It is so refreshing and comforting to see the familiar southwest decor that I love. Everything and everywhere so clean and sanitary. During these times eating safe while eating out is one of my top priorities. Big check mark at all locations for that concern. Located right off East Bidwell in the Broadstone Marketplace with plenty of free parking. Love that. And outdoor seating available too. All pluses with this new location in my opinion. So, next time you are craving some delicious Tex-Mex cuisine head over to this new location and chow down! Have you had your "DOS" today? Definitely eating good in the neighborhood!

Changing menu board a bit hard to read and not my favorite

Paid my first visit to this relatively new Dos Coyotes and enjoyed just about everything during my visit. Like most other Dos locations, the dining room is bright, clean and festive. I had friendly and helpful service with a smile from all four staffers with whom I interacted. I ordered a chicken border burrito and chips. It's been a while since I've been to Dos so I'd forgotten that a burrito comes with some chips on the side. That would have been helpful to know before paying for an extra order of chips, but that's OK. How else am I gonna get their delicious salsa to my face? Just a select few chips were a little on the chewy side, seemingly not well drained after frying. But they seemed fresh and most were crispy and fine. I like to eat a burrito with my hands but the way my burrito was rolled, it wasn't very conducive to that. But one of the staff members was quick to bring me a square of foil upon request, so I tried to reconciled the situation as best I could. Still made a big mess but I tried. Tasted delicious! Opted to sit out on the sizable patio since it was a gorgeous day. Super helpful and friendly service continued out there, not once but twice. Lastly, I really love that they have reusable glasses for water and little paper cups for dine-in salsa. Overall, I recommend this location and always their classic salsa verde. I'll be back.

This was my first time visiting this new location. It is much smaller and cozier than the other one I'm used to. I tried a shrimp burrito bowl instead of my usual salad this time. It was good but i did feel like it was too much rice. The salsa bar is nice and had a lot of options...I think I had a cranberry one. Service was great and we got our food quickly. Love that this is closer so I can hit it up more often.

I think it's easy for people to pass it off as "just another Rubios," but it is anything but that. Take Rubios but scale up the quality. The salsa selection is great, the portions are big, and the plate presentation is intentional. Dos Coyotes gives more of a sit-down feel compared to Rubios; there's a lot of decor and they have drinks on tap. Our food came out fast and everyone was friendly. I really hope they stay because it was definitely an upgrade! Also: anyone who says it is bad Mexican food clearly doesn't realize that it's California-style Mexican, San Diego-type food. Go to a taqueria if you want true Mexican :)

Mark this day in the books! May 19,2025, was the first day of business for this Dos Coyotes Border Cafe. Exciting that they opened a second location in Folsom. This one is located in the Broadstone Marketplace. The interior dining room size is significantly scaled down compared to the Folsom Blvd location. It is compact and cozy. They have an outdoor patio but it is currently not fully set up for use. The interior is designed with the bold Dos Coyotes signature Southwest theme. The service is counter service with the food brought out to you. The staff buses the table, there is no garbage can in the dining room. Onto the food. I ordered the chicken fajita platter which was one of the specials. The platter came out sizzling hot. Luv that cast iron sizzling sound. The chicken was thick cut,it had a nice grilled flavor. But the rice was wet n clumpy. Hubs ordered the Bobby's shredded beef crispy tacos plate. They were darn delicious. His sides were not served hot though. The refried beans were lukewarm; and the rice was room temp and wet and clumpy. Overall not bad for the first day! Customer service was beyond fantastic. Helpful, engaging staff. I am confident they will work out the kinks on the food temps and get the rice cooked to the typical fluffy Dos Coyote standard.

I've noticed that the late afternoon/early evening crew have some quality control issues compared to the evening crew. These tacos pictured below for example, they come with guacamole and sour cream, but for some reason in their mind, one comes with guac and the other comes with sour cream?!?!? On two separate occasions!!!Make that make sense Also lacking in the chips and salsa quantity, 2 half bags and a couple of salsas compared to 2 overloaded bags of chips and multiple of each salsa style. Never have any issues when ordering after 7pm on 3-4 occasions, but both times I ordered between 5pm and 6pm, issues . Lesson learned, obviously there is someone or possibly a few people that come in around 6pm that have a little more pride in their work. I've had 5 and 3 experiences, luckily the 5 experiences are carrying their weight and some. Props to the evening crew at this location!!!

First thing to say: i have no idea why s.o gave 3 stars for this business. I have been here couple times and they're always good experience. Definitely come back more n more to try another food from their big selection menu from classic guacamole n chips to ultimate loaded nachos then burritos/ salad/ tacos/ enchiladas. So far I really like the Santa Fe Nachos. Food's good portion - reasonable price. They have the house made salsa bar by the corner. You can take much sauce as you need, cups will be handed by cashier. Fill em up and pack by yr self! The very first time came, I checked out and tried all the sauce. I think i like the fresh and roasted tomatillo - a little sweet / sour from tomatillos then add a little bit spicy from the habanero salsa. Finally top with a little jalapeño/ onion/ carrot pickles. Perfect spicy - outstanding food! 5/5 Service's super friendly from manager to staff - "Sophie n Ariel". They're both really friendly, helpful, great quick service. 5/5 Big outdoor and indoors seating. Pleasant decorations. Clean and well maintained. The salsa bar is cleaned as often i can tell. Plenty free parking in the same complex with belair market or right in front of restaurant. It may be packed for parking in busy hour. But not too hard to find the spot. As this place's just opened couple months ago in this area. Completely satisfied with my high expectations in customer services. A good place for quick bites / healthy meal / family- kids / group meetings. 5/5

    Ranchero Burrito

We ordered catering for a family gathering we were having. We did it through the website and had everything confirmed. On the day of the event 30 min prior to pick up we received a text saying order was cancelled. HOLY CRAP!! We called this location and they ensured our order was made and on time!! We came back today and ordered a Ranchero Burrito.. It came hot and fresh. Made exactly as asked. The service is excellent here. They come by and check on you non stop. Highly recommended.

    Adobe salad

We stopped in for a quick bite and had the green enchiladas, adobe salad, and a kids bean burrito. Service was friendly and the ambiance was as expected for a fast casual restaurant. Portions were large and we found that Dos was a better value than other nearby Mexican establishments.

We were meeting a friend and they had gotten a table for us before we arrived, but it wasn't busy and there were plenty of tables available. We're glad we had a chance to try Cantina Pedregal before it changes into Nixtaco- although now having been to both you're going to have delicious food either way. The restaurant is beautiful and whoever did the interior design was so thoughtful with the furniture, colors and ambiance. It's very warm, welcoming and calming inside. A great date spot or place for a meeting. The lunch menu has a good variety of options, and is broken down into smaller bites/appetizers, salads, main plates, and then sides. It's a nice spot to share dishes so you can try more items and share the sides. We ended up getting the chips and salsa ($7) with an extra salsa ($4), Grilled Black Half Chicken ($23), and Fideo Seco ($14). Our friend got the Carne Asada Tacos ($24), Refried Beans ($12), and Red Rice ($10). The sides were shareable and needed, since the entrees came on their own. Our friend added some of the beans, rice and Fideo Seco on their tacos and our chicken did come with some tortillas to make our own tacos or eat on it's own. Everything was high quality and flavorful. The Fideo Seco was surprisingly my favorite item. It is vermicelli pasta with sofrito, chorizo and egg yolk and was very tasty. The chicken was good, but hard to eat without using your hands to get all the meat off the bones- the messy hands didn't seem to fit with the restaurant vibe but we loved the flavor and how tender the chicken was. The salsa was good and the chips were fresh, but it seemed like a lot to charge $4 for the ramekins of salsas. I would pass on chips and salsa next time. Overall it was a great vibe, high quality food and good service. Definitely more of a treat meal or great spot to impress a date or business client. For a regular chill meal it felt a bit expensive, but I think they're going for more upscale.

I had been waiting to come here for a while now so glad we made it in . We drove 40 mins just to…read moreeat here. Walking in the decor is very modern and nice . The restrooms is for everyone. You walk in and the doors close individually but u do share the space and area to wash your hands with anyone that walks in . Not bad never really seen this before . Our waiter was amazing his name was Doug he explained the menu to us . It could be a lot but he helped us . Doug was very helpful and attentive. We ordered drinks my favorite one was called Sol Dorado . I wish they had more Gin drinks I had the only Gin drink called Brissa Del Mar but ,I was not a fan . For food we ordered the Caesar salad , sweet potato which was amazing. For our main dish we ordered the cazuela (Asado De Puerco ) which is pork stew it came with handmade corn tortillas . We made some delicious tacos out of it . I had to get dessert they all sounded so good! We got the Smoked Pumpkin Tres Leches delicious. Overall, it was a different experience the food is a bit different and I'm Mexican BTW but it's from a part in Mexico called Monterey every part in Mexico has their own way of cooking . The menu its self is different you order to share . It's a little on the pricier side but the portions were a good size for sharing . I feel like for the main entree there is not that many options on there wish to see more . Overall we had a great time . Great food and ambiance.
