Why does this place have such low reviews. Shawn in Oceanside told me I had to try this location and look for Steve. I didn't see Steve but the staff here are super friendly. I was a bit skeptical bc of the low review scores but these sandwiches were delicious. They toasted everything perfectly and filled it with meat. Our kids ended up finishing the High Tide. Will have to get three sandwiches next time. Quality ingredients, tasty meal, and great service. Try it!

I ordered 2 sandwiches to go on Tuesday night and waited around 15 minutes. The service was good as my kid interrupted one of the girls to ask for a cup for water and she gave one cheerfully. - Santa Cruz: the bun was soft and the sandwich tasted delicious. It had generous slices of pastrami and avocado. My only complaint was the portion was small for the price ($15) - Beach BBQ chicken: the sandwich tasted delicious! The combination of BBQ sauce, hot sauce, and other toppings worked. Lots of chicken pieces and generous melty cheese. Again, it was a quite pricey sandwich ($12.50) for the portion. Overall, tasty sandwiches but it was a rather pricey for the portion - 3.5 stars for me

Sandwiches here are pretty good and no complaints with the service. They have four sizes that go by increments of 3 inches, 3", 6", 9", 12", and it's on the pricey side. 20-something for the largest size, but they do put a good amount of ingredients on the sandwich (still overpriced). They also sell bags with 3 loaves of their bread for only a dollar, which is crazy cheap. Overall, good spot to have in Folsom.

Ordered take out today. A Surfin Bird, Super Salad, and Marley Nachos. My Surfin Bird sandwich was too salty. They forgot to put my wife's lemon vinaigrette dressing with the salad. Really? That's the essence of the salad. The Marley Nachos are the only reason I didn't give this experience a 2 star review. The nachos were delicious and loaded. Only gripe with them was they didn't have cheese on the bottom layer. If you order out, make sure to check your order before you go home.

Got the Cali cheese-steak sandwich for the first time. Plenty of meat and very juicy! It was very filling and I couldn't finish it. I am not sure how I felt about the cream cheese. Not bad but next time probably will try something else.

Sandwich so smothered in mustard it was basically a mustard sandwich with: salty, pressed, low quality turkey and ham meats.

First time there and last time there. Deli meats are: cheap, salty, pressed, fake tasting meats. Why smother the sandwich with so much mustard that when I went to pick it up, the bread was so soggy, sandwich couldn't hold up. Mustard sandwich anybody? See the picture and you'll see how disgusting this sandwich was. Also, expensive. 25 bucks for: a sandwich, drink and a couple small bags of chips. Waste of my money. Into the trash it went.

The food is consistently phenomenal. A varied menu from appetizers to lunch and dinner items. These chefs have perfected every dish. Big portions... no skimping at Manderes. The simple Angus burger is served between sourdough buns. No mushy regular hamburger buns. The fries are crisp, hot and plentiful. Salads, sandwiches, and mouth-watering appetizers. Someone is getting hungry just writing this!:) Happy Hour 3 to 5, Monday thru Friday. All the beer and wine selections are quality... with a capital Q. No crap on tap... as they say. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find what looked and felt like a local upscale pub with a large bar with TVs and various tables scattered around. The menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are generous. I opted to start with the garlic bread with a dipping sauce, followed by the Southwestern chicken salad entree special. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill! I appreciated the fact they had a couple of NA beer options along with a nice selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend!

The portion was minimal--barely enough to cover the bottom of a standard to-go container--and it was noticeably lacking lettuce. They also used green olives, which felt a bit off from what I'd expect. The salad came with small portions of hummus and tzatziki, but no pita or anything to pair them with, which I found odd--are people just eating those with a fork? We also ordered a chicken shawarma, and ironically, the lettuce I was hoping to see more of in the salad ended up in that instead--wilted from the heat of the chicken. This was my second visit. The first time, I ordered online and was hit with a bunch of extra fees since it's routed through DoorDash--even for pickup. Staff mentioned that I should avoid ordering that way in the future to save money, which raises the question: if you know the system you're using adds unnecessary costs, why not offer a better alternative? Taking their advice, I came in person the second time. Service was fine, but overall, the food still just didn't stand out. I'll continue to spend my money at Zest just down the road.

The food is consistently amazing and packed with flavor. The tea leaf salad is a must. Super fresh, crunchy, and unlike anything else around here. It and the coconut rice balanced the spiciness of the lamb and eggplant perfectly. My wife likes to wash it down with a blue moon. I believe the traditional Burmese beer is similar. Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. "Sounds good," I heard so across the parking lot was WCSD. In we go. Ordered two 6" BLT, no chips, cookies, or drinks, had water. Over $25.00. After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.
