We frequent Mexquite often. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The aesthetic is great and the restaurant is always clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hosts and servers are always friendly and attentive. The food is consistent every time and we always enjoy the chips and salsa and margaritas.

This place is solid! My girlfriend's burrito was over-powered with rice and beans, and unfortunately, not much Al pastor. My platillo tampiqueno was delicious. Funny enough, I actually thought the steak itself was one of the worst parts on my plate. Everything was delicious (rice, beans and mole enchilada). Service was incredible and the churros... best dessert I have had in a while.

We had a going away lunch for a friend with about 9 people. The staff was very friendly and answered the many questions some had about ingredients as we had a couple people with dietary restrictions. The chips were good and the salsa had a kick which I liked but it wasn't over powering. I had a pork tamale and asked for black beans instead of the refried beans. The portions are very generous. Many had a variety of the salads and everyone raved about them. My tamale was very tasty and little different than I'm used too but not in a bad way. The pork had a little more taste then some I've had. I asked about a spicy salsa and they brought me a habanero salsa on the side. It was delicious!! They also have a great bar area and wonderful patio for outdoor dining. The ambiance is also very well done. I would definitely recommend this

Mexquite is seriously one of my favorite spots in Folsom. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is so fun and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the staff is always super friendly and on top of things. The food though... wow. The shrimp quesadilla is hands down a must-try, and the al pastor tacos are delicious. Their happy hour is also such a great deal definitely worth planning around. Every time I come in, I leave happy and full. Can't recommend this place enough!

The service was absolutely amazing, the staff was attentive and very kind. The food was also great. Portions were also good, and definitely filling.

We were in the mood for Mexican food and wasn't sure whether to try this place given the mixed reviews. We are happy that we gave them a try though on a rainy Saturday. The service was friendly and the food was great. We ordered the tacos plate & chicken fajitas. First off, the portion size was generous and the food was very flavorful. The complementary chips and salsa were added bonus. Their salsa was good! When in the Folsom are, you may want to visit this little gem The restaurant is pretty spacious and good for groups. They have a nice bar there.

We didn't think we would eat it all, but we honestly couldn't stop. It was lightly dressed, contained a ton of toppings and was probably half a container for mixed greens which was fantastic! If you're more into heavily dressed salads you probably wanna ask for more. Either way, we had a great lunch at an unassuming place. They apparently have a Speak Easy as well which we unfortunately didn't get to experience.

If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

Thus cheered, we were seated quickly, even though we arrived without a reservation. Water, bread and menus came quickly. Perusing them to the background mix of contemporary mellow pop (think James Taylor and Van Morrison) and old standards, we decided on the petite prime rib for the carnivore (me) and sea scallops served over risotto for my wife. We each chose flights of wine to accompany our entrees. Despite including three wines per flight, the pours were fairly generous. Our dishes were perfectly prepared and came out more quickly than we expected, considering that the place was almost full. Our server checked back just enough and took care of any special requests promptly, even offering to exchange one of the wines (out of six!) that we didn't like for something better suited to our taste. The pace was leisurely which was fine given the good food and wine accompanied by the relaxed vibe of the live music. And the prices were quite reasonable given the quality of both the food and service. A dark-ish old school atmosphere added to its charm for us Baby Boomers, but even younger diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. As for us, we highly recommend it!
