Staying at the World Resort hotel while visiting my parents. Dos Gatos is one of the eatery available if you choose to stay onsite for a meal. Unfortunately the place opens only on the weekends. It's is located at the sister hotel Aldermen for and gets really lovely on weekends esp. during Happy Hour. It can get quite loud. On this occasion, we decided to do take out. 2 orders of fish tacos, 1 carne asada taco, 1 chicken burrito & 1 churros. Except for the burritos, everything comes in 2 so you are really hungry you may need to split an additional order with someone. The service is slow and it gets worse when it's busy. The front person is friendly and takes it orders quickly on this day. Even after traveling 20 minutes to my spends, the food stayed fresh and delicious. My fish tacos stayed crispy and with the slaws, spicy mayo & lime, they were delicious!!! My family quite enjoyed everything with the only complaint that all can use an additional taco. They used to serve in 3 but not anymore. My mom had the burrito and it's her favorite thing. Just to prewarned all, it is do fried so it's very good but don't think it's healthy and like other burritos you get elsewhere. All in all great food and world come back. read more

I don't know if the bar is part of this or not. But they share a space. And the bar was a dirty mess. Very discouraging. The chairs are those kind you slide off of. Beef in the carne asada was very tough. This place should be packed. The seating and indoor outdoor options are awesome. But the food takes too long, the bar is simply odd and oddly stocked - very limited wine options for example, only Tito's, no other vodka choices etc. I am baffled by this place. This place is so cute inside The Adler at world resort casino. They have indoor and outdoor area. You order at the front and pick up your food when it's ready. Outside area is so peaceful with fire pits and comfy chairs which made it such a nice experience. I got the Birria Tacos and churros and OMG completely mouth watering ! The Birria tacos were juicy and crunchy with consumme that was delicious. The churros came with 3 churros filled with dulce de leche and they were huge, sweet crunchy and delicious. My fiancé and I came here on a quiet Sunday night, and sat at the bar. We enjoyed talking to Robert, our awesome bartender and waiter. We both ordered the tacos (fish and shrimp). You get two nice sized tacos and you can order a side of rice and beans at an additional cost. The prices are extremely reasonable. My fiancé had a great Blue Moon and I really enjoyed my pomegranate mojito that Robert had concocted with such great care. Delicious tacos! Hidden gem inside The Alder Hotel next to Resorts World Casino & Hotel. Scrumptious! On spring/summer weekends, they have have an open patio with music, with outdoor games; a convivial atmosphere; a short distance from Kartrite Indoor Waterpark. Highly recommend. I eat here as often as I can. They have additional items on their menu, so I attached pictures of additional offerings and their most current takeout menu. Had the quesadilla and it was phenomenal! I will say the jalapeños pack a punch so forewarnings on the spice level. My aunt loved her pork belly tacos and they looked super crunchy and delectable. Her friend ordered the pollo tacos and she too enjoyed those. Only negative aspect is the bar. You order your food from one location and sit down at tables between food ordering and the bar. Then no one comes around to ask if you'd like a beverage. I feel they could improve alcohol sales by just walking around and asking. One of the best experiences of food at the Casino after trying a couple of other restaurants there. After growing up in Southern California this wasn't bad for Mexican Food in Upstate New York made by Americans. Even though their Chimichangas were listed as burritos, the Tamales and Tacos were right just right I figured Ochata wouldn't sell here but a person hand making fresh tortillas would be cool. The atmosphere was great i would go back and try the bar next time especially if they have a yard glass of frozen margaritas or a fish bowl drink to share with friends. The only reason I'm not giving a five star is because of the location as you have to leave the casino to get to it, I'm surprised there isn't a covered walkway between the buildings for cold nights. And the prices are very high. Even if you are a winner at the casino food prices should be normal so we can use our points for free rooms or free gift shop items like shirts and towels so we can advertise elsewhere. read more

This is a tough one because the food was excellent. I mean really delicious. However the service at this place - both the food and the bar spot was absolutely horrendous. It was like these people had never worked in the industry EVER. Slow moving, oblivious to people waiting. It was like we were in the twilight zone. This happened when we were ordering our food, as well as at the bar. They were in their own little slow motion world. We sat at the bar to have drinks and wait for our food, also ate at the bar. Just watching how long it took some people to pay their checks or get drinks when the bar wasn't even jam packed was absurd. They really need to get it together. This place could be phenomenal with good service and management. We watched a manager try to change a CO2 tank, taking a ridiculous amount of time, then calling facilities who still couldn't do it in a timely manner. All while she could have been backing up the extremely slow bar staff. Now mind you all the drinks here were pre-made or in a can/bottle. So why these people were so slow is beyond me - they weren't even making actual drinks. The pork/kimchi tacos were incredible. One thing to keep in mind the food is plentiful, a order of tacos for each person and split an appetizer will be plenty. We were staying at Kartrite Indoor Water Park (owned by Resorts World), right down the road from the Resorts World Casino, when an employee there suggested that we try dinner at Dos Gatos. She said that the Mexican food there was being talked about as a rival to the long-time favorite Mexican restaurant in the whole county. We are SO GLAD we took her advice. Dos Gatos is tucked away in the small outbuilding next to the main Casino, called The Alder. Walking up to Dos Gatos, it does not look like much, although the appointments in the seating area are very unique and charming. You order your food at a walk-up counter from a menu that hangs above it. Then you wait with a pager that will buzz when you should return to the side counter to pick up your food. It's not my thing to take pictures of my food, but I definitely should have on this occasion. Absolutely beautiful and very creative presentation. For example, the fried plantains looked positively exotic, and the basic cheddar cheese quesadilla that my daughter ordered actually looks like a medium Mexican pizza. My vegetable burrito was stuffed with everything a vegetarian could want in a Mexican plate. The portions are large and the price is completely reasonable for that and the quality. The taste of every bite we had made us wish we were staying in the area longer so we could eat there again. The service was incredible. I wish I had taken down the name of the young woman who took our order. She was lovely. The restaurant seating is next to the nice bar with televisions where you can relax and watch sports.
