    Yummy fresh empanadas

This is a super cute place. Definitely catered to tourism but also very for the culture. Okay so it's a dope bar with super friendly staff. Manager was very friendly and chatted me up about local things to do and see. Second location coming soon in Condado this week (hopefully). We tried 3 different empanadas I've never seen anywhere. One had churrasco steak and this girl has a thing for steak ..it was delicious. The other two were delicious too but can't remember which ones, sorry Overall location in old san juan, food quality and service overall was a 20/10. Bar staff were super attentive and I didnt even drink, offered mocktails and didnt feel pressured like lots of places in Old San Juan. Girlies, get there asap. Xo

AMAZING!!! Hands down the best Empanada Ive ever had. Tried 5 different options and all of them were fantastic. My favorite was the Pollo, and then the Carne. So moist and flavorful. Not deep fried. Great dough. The 2 young ladies working were fantastic. Extremely nice and professionals and always willing to offer advice for places in the area worth trying. Had local and domestic beers. Great logo. Great location. Would love to try them again if I'm ever in PR. Overall a very high 9.6 out of 10. Keep up the great work ladies. The people from Ohio loved it.

I liked this place! Newly opened. Craft beer, craft cocktails and empanadas. Simple menu. Fresh empanadas and great drinks. Service is phenomenal. You just may get a history lesson. I love the roaring sounds of the salsa music playing from the outside. Everything is lovely about this place. Set number of empanadas made daily and they do run out. Chicken empanadas are tasty. Check this place out! Fun. Open until 2am.

The empanadas tasted great, don't skip the chimichurri and piña habernero sauces either. The Pernil was our favorite. The food took some time, took about 30 mins to get the full order. The bathrooms were pass a nice courtyard, but needed some attention for odor and cleanliness.

This place is cute for ambience and vibe but it's overpriced for what you get. The empanadas are small, like 4 bites but they charge $4-$7 each. We came for a quick snack on our walk and paid $47 for 6 empanadas, 2 beers and a soda. I feel like I could've gotten two full meals for that price. They were flavorful but they're not really worth it. Plus these are baked which is healthier but I grew up eating fried Puerto Rican empanadas, it just gives them a different flavor and texture so to me these are not authentic either. They took them out the fridge and put them in a toaster oven. You're paying for novelty.

    Horrible bartenders

This is TOP NOTCH street food... with an amazing bar attached. We ate at least one of each of the empanadas. All were exceptional... but my favorite was the carne! Sauces are amazing... i paired the carne with the habanero chipotle. Wow! The cocktails are great! Had an old fashioned made with aged rum. Exceptional!! Just opened in Dec'25 so need to get o. People's radar. This is A#1 place. I highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this place & walked in unknown but it ended up being a favorite! We stopped by twice that's how much I loved the empanadas! The pernil BBQ empanada was incredibly flavorful & I paired it with the jalapeño cilantro sauce. I'm still dreaming of eating them again. The mojito was also unique with the coconut and so delicious.

Incredible empanadas open til 11 fresh and hot. Great snack after a long day in San Juan. Owners so friendly and kind and the bar is very clean and nice lighting.

Update: everyone who was working there since Tuesday was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind and welcoming!! We came back every day of our 4 day vacation. Get the coco lobo mojito, and a pernil bbq empanada, you won't regret it. The place has AC, not super crowded, very welcoming environment!! I would recommend this 1000 times over. Nicole was amazing!!

We stopped in to get empanadas to take home and got one of each savory flavor. I've had empanadas in Texas and never been a fan, but they were nothing like these. The dough was thin and cooked to perfection. Each filling was just as good as the last. My only complaint was that we didn't eat there so we could have access to all the yummy sauces! Highly recommend stopping in - it looked like a fun spot to grab a drink with your food.

We had come here for an afternoon snack and drinks as we were walking around old San Juana and the forts all day and had gone to one fort and ready to move to the next after a bite. This was the perfect meal to hold us over. Not so greasy and not too filling. The drinks were just average but refreshing after hours in the sun. The atmosphere is casual and busy and loud. However, the service was quick even with them being busy. I highly recommend the beef stew with mofongo and coming here even if it's just for that!

The wait was usual for Old San Juan. About 30-45mins. They take your name down and call you when there's a table ready. What they don't tell you is that the menu is a QR code on the table. Once you figure that you see a well organized and simple 2 pages menu with many PR authentic dishes listed. The waiter comes about 10-15mins later. And it's best to have all your order ready as they don't come back very often. The place is usually packed all the hours that they're open. Food: that's why they lost a star. Rice and beans, Madurai/amarrillos, scurrilous, delicious 5 stars, but the bigger, empanada, chicken with garlic lack the bite that you come to expect of PR food! They lack taste, "Sazon", they were bland and tasted more like someone forgot to season them and forgot the garlic. I'd tell them to go back to their food and make PR food like it's supposed to taste, not for the tourist, please!

Well good news, the food is still good! I stopped in during the festival of San Sebastian and the restaurant was packed! We luckily got a seat for two and were able to order right away. I order the mofongo de pollo and my friend ordered a different meal with a soup. I am not going to lie, the service was extremely slow and the food took about 30 to 40 mins maybe to come out. I expect this was because of the festival and how busy the restaurant was. When the food came out, it was delicious! The chicken was great and drenched in a salsa criolla sauce. It was definitely worth the wait! After my meal, I ordered a coffee to digest the food. Luckily this didn't take as long as the food. I would definitely recommend this place however if you are in a rush, it might be best to go somewhere else. The food is very tasty!

The restaurant is very small inside but they do have outside dining which is what we chose to do. The service was good, they were very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately, the appetizer we ordered was just awful. We ordered a mix of very traditional Puerto Rican bites-small alcapurrias, sorrullos, chicharrónes de pollo and some fried cheese. There was absolutely nothing good about the mix. The alcapurrias has no meat whatsoever, the chicharrónes were not crispy and the cheese was just awful. I wanted to give them a 1star review but I felt this would not be fair because we did not try an entree and I hope that would be better. The 3star was because the service was good. In addition to the service later on in the evening they had live music which was essentially old traditional Puerto Rican music which was excellent. So to be fair I thought a 3 star review would be the right thing to do. Hopefully the entrees are much better just stay away from the surtido appetizer because it was not good.

I was really craving fried snapper, but unfortunately, it was too large for me to eat by myself. To my disappointment, it was served family style, and my family wasn't in the mood for fish. We also had mofongo with chicken and creole sauce, white rice and beans, fried plantains, and another side of beans and rice. We definitely over-ordered, as the food was plentiful and very filling. In fact, that was the only meal we had that day. If you're ever in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a hidden gem tucked away on a side street. We tried a little of a lot of things, kind of a meal of sides to go with our mofongo, and the empanadilla pastry was flaky and light. Hubs liked the chicken one best, I preferred the ground beef. But the big takeaway is the mofongo with garlic sauce.
