The family wanted Mexican for dinner and didn't want to drive anywhere. So we stopped in here since it was close. I want to say it is our third time eating here (maybe). Walking in the restaurant was empty and bright. Seems they must of had 100 watt bulbs in all their lamps lol. But that's ok it allowed me to better see my beautiful family. There was a odd odor in the air, one of something old or musty, not sure really what it was. But it didn't stop us from taking a booth and enjoying a family dinner. The waiter was superb and attentive to our needs. The salsa and chips were good and of coarse you have to wash it down with a pineapple Jarrito. Dinner was full of flavor with exception of my daughters enchiladas, they were pretty bad. The chicken was dry and over cooked. But everything else was good and no one complained. Really mixed feeling about the place but I think it's more because the atmosphere than anything else. It just wasn't a fun, energy filled festive vibe. More like eating dinner at grandmas when you were in trouble. In conclusion the food is good, the service is awesome and well atmosphere and decor are lacking something. read more

My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch today and our experience was awful. We have eaten here in the past and never had an experience like this one. We will not ever be back. To start the host was talking on his cell phone while he seated us. It took at least 10 minutes for a server to greet us, even though there were only two other parties in the restaurant. As we sat waiting for our waitress I noticed food splatter all over the walls. It was very dirty and unappetizing. We should have just left at this point but unfortunately we stayed. My husband ordered a beer with a lime and a water no lemon. She brought him a beer with no lime and water with lemon. My husband, again, requested some lime and the waitress brought a pile of lemons to the table using her BARE HANDS and set them down on a napkin on the table. Needless to say, my husband didn't use the lemons she brought. How unsanitary! We ordered queso dip and beef nachos to share. They were both very bland and nothing special. We never received refills on drinks or chips and the waitress only asked if we wanted more AFTER she brought check. We declined refills and were just ready to end this experience. Then, as we were standing up to leave a gentleman brought more chips and salsa so the table and we had to send him away. There were no other tables seated at that time so it wasn't just a mistake. Overall, the poor service and bland food was a huge disappointment. This place is not worth your time or money. read more

This was a horrible experience. We took our grandchildren here for a 4 o'clock early supper. Bad idea. The Kay that took our order would shake her head and roll her eyes as we were ordering from the kids menu. They just wanted rice and chicken on their burritos and no beans on the side. You'd have thought we were asking for the moon, the way she rudely responded with her facial expressions. Cozy environment, and VERY TASTY food. The salsa is some of the best I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The food is well cooked and the seasonings are different from most chain restaurants. The decor is cozy and makes you want to visit Mexico with all the decor and culture references. One reoccurring problem is the service. The servers don't want anything to do with you and avoid interacting at all costs. It took forever to get more chips and a drink refill. The servers won't even make eye contact with you. It's not bad. I finally graduated from Taco Bell. I had the combination fajita. They offer two sizes, single (S) and double (D). If your party is small, one or two, the go for the single. If you have like four grown people, then the double is your choice. When the nice lady delivered it to the table, I was like OMG! You guest it I ordered the double. I was thinking the portions were small. Sadly, I was mistaken. The fajitas came with the usually accompaniments, rice, lettuce, pico de gaio, etc. The entree consisted of three meats: beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was more like prawns! Overall I enjoyed myself. The kids loved the free chips and salsa. The quest blanco was seasoned perfectly. It wasn't too spicy. I'm gonna quit babbling and go back to my food. Well hands down the worst Mexican food I've had in Tennessee. What Mexican cook would ever use cheese sauce in a quesadilla??? I really have no words except that was a sad Middle Tennessee version of Cinco de mayo . Such a pity for all of you who have never had good Mexican food. We had seen this restaurant many times but we had either just eaten or in a rush! The decor outside matches the gorgeous and authentic decor inside! We ordered the variety of chimichangas and they were so good! I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food so for me to say it was yummy, believe it! Huge variety for all appetites! Came here on a whim before meeting friends at a movie. All the restaurants in the area were so packed , so we landed here. Staff was a little stand offish and the owner seemed to be upset at our waitress for bringing out the wrong plate. We weren't bothered by it at all. I had the Tex Mex Burrito ... probably one of the most odd combinations of chorizo, egg and hot dog slices , covered in cheese. I think it might be my favorite burrito. I received my order yesterday from Uber eats and I was missing half the meal. No taco salad no guacamole and no pico. And when I called the restaurant and the man told me to come and pick it up. The whole reason why I use Uber eats with so I wouldn't have to drive from Rockvale to Murfreesboro so I paid for a delivery fee and a tip to not receive half my food. Just when I thought French fries couldn't get any better!!! I stumbled in one Saturday afternoon so hungry and decided to get something quick. I ordered the Rancheros Fries and they were delicious! It is an order of fries topped with pico, queso cheese, jalapeno peppers, in ground beef!! Sooooooooo good that I got another order the next morning. The decor is pretty basic for a Mexican restaurant and the employees were absolutely wonderful. Everyone who saw me smiled at me and were so friendly, and it definitely seems like a family friendly place even though they were pretty empty when I stumbled in the early afternoon. My test whenever I go to a Mexican joint for the first time is their authentic tacos (cilantro and onion on corn tortillas) with lime and salsa verde on top. Theirs were not the best but were pretty good. If I based my review on food alone, it would be four stars at a max. Service was good. However, this only gets three stars because they salted the rim of my margarita with iodized table salt. That's a big, fat nope.
