This was my first time visiting Mesquite, and I'm glad I took a colleague's recommendation to stay…read morehere for a work trip. It definitely seems to be the best hotel in town. The property is very well-maintained, the restaurants are a delight, and the pool area is excellent--I loved being able to order drinks right from my lounge chair. My only real complaint was the check-in process; my room wasn't ready until two hours after the official check-in time. It was a bit of an inconvenience after a long day of meetings, but the staff was friendly, and I was able to pass the time using the gym. I also bought a day pass for the spa, which turned out to be pretty underwhelming. Aside from a private pool and steam room, it doesn't offer much unless you're booking an actual treatment. A private spa jacuzzi would have been a huge plus, especially since the main resort jacuzzi was constantly crowded. Unless you are getting a specific service, I would skip the spa pass. Overall, despite the check-in delay, it was a great stay and I would definitely return.

I asked her nicely if I could checkin and not be charged as courtesy. She declined my request and said it's the policy . I told her I fully understand the policy and it has to be followed accordingly. However we all know that there was not a single soul there that afternoon. I told her if people were overflowing at the front desk I totally understand. I even mentioned to her that I've been playing and gambling all morning. She was totally very unhelpful to the point that I got very upset. Not because of the $20 charge but the principle. On a Monday afternoon in Mesquite do you think there will be hundreds of people rushing to check in. Figure the math. And mind you She was the front office supervisor. No wonder they have 2 star rating. I'm surprised even with 2 stars.

Small dive casino figured I would stop by as I usually love these small local places. It was…read morerelatively hard to find this place as there is little to no signage anywhere indicating that a casino even exists in this building which may end up being a good thing since you're better off driving right past it to the many other superior gaming locations throughout Mesquite. I make no exaggeration when I say this is the worst casino I have ever visited and the worst gaming experience I have had up to this point. Upon entering I immediately felt unwelcome with the locals and staff just staring at me as if I didn't belong there no welcome or even a verbal acknowledgment. I walked up to the bar and greeted the bartender he didn't reply just stared at me and walked away. I sat at one of the bartop machines and was not offered a drink or even acknowledged. I decided to go sit at one of the machines on the floor and play there instead. A worker then approached me and asked if I had ID which was expected and I provided it she then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't have any outside drinks in the casino and to throw away my water which is ridiculous seeing as I wasn't offered any drink at all even though I was actively playing. After I threw away my water she walked away and never spoke with me again. I played a little bit more than left. As far as gaming is concerned these are the worst pay tables I have seen in any gaming bar/casino, everything returning well below 97% for video poker, there are some pay tables that return close to 90% which is so bad you may as well just play a regular slot machine. There is no players club either or any other incentive to play. After talking to locals in other places around Mesquite I heard even more horror stories about this place and how they treat new clientele. Overall a very bad experience in every category would not recommend giving this place your business, the management needs to make some serious changes if they want to continue operating otherwise I look forward to its inevitable closure and acquisition by Dotty's or another gaming operator.

I enjoy this place. The only issue, like all of the other reviews, is the service. The entire staff…read moreis really nice - they just haven't been trained properly to provide good service. It's truly an easy fix. When you see a new guest or table sit down, simply acknowledge them. It's not that difficult. Look, we all know you're busy, but it literally takes 2 seconds to say hi, I'll be right with you. And when people ask for a menu, it's a good idea to give them a menu because they probably want to eat. And if you do remember to bring them a menu, it's also a good idea to come back and ask them if they'd like to order any food. Look, we're not launching the space shuttle here. A little common sense goes a long way.
