My only real complaint was the check-in process; my room wasn't ready until two hours after the official check-in time. It was a bit of an inconvenience after a long day of meetings, but the staff was friendly, and I was able to pass the time using the gym. I also bought a day pass for the spa, which turned out to be pretty underwhelming. Aside from a private pool and steam room, it doesn't offer much unless you're booking an actual treatment. A private spa jacuzzi would have been a huge plus, especially since the main resort jacuzzi was constantly crowded. Unless you are getting a specific service, I would skip the spa pass. Overall, despite the check-in delay, it was a great stay and I would definitely return.

She was totally very unhelpful to the point that I got very upset. Not because of the $20 charge but the principle. This place checked all three boxes. The room was no-frills, but clean and comfortable. The TV was on the smaller side, but it worked fine, and the A/C absolutely cranked, which is a huge plus in Mesquite. Ice machines were easy to access, and parking was plentiful, with plenty of overflow parking available if needed. There was also a poolside bar, which looked like a nice place to relax. I didn't eat there during my one-night stay, but several people told me the food was decent. Overall, I can't think of any reason I wouldn't stay here again when visiting Mesquite. If you're looking for an affordable place that's clean, comfortable, and does the basics well, the Virgin River is a solid choice.

I would like to share my experience with everyone I was at Dottie's and I just got done gambling…read moreprobably about a hundred bucks and I saved one dollar Cash out ticket so I could combine that with them some quarters to buy a pack of smokes on my way out so I went up to the lady her name was Ellen and them I asked her for the pack of cigarettes and I said all I got is quarters so I was going to give them $6 worth of quarters and then the cash out ticket which was $1 but she said she don't take quarters there at the time and I said well why I'm never heard of somebody not taking quarters to buy a pack of smokes. I guess it not a good idea to question her refusal. She then became hostile and loud. I seemed to have embarrassed her cuz by now, many of the customers were beginning to become spectators of her actions as they stood there in disbelief... She then got all weird and actually demanded that I leave the Establishment there because I was questioning her decision about not taking my quarters for the pack of smokes Next she stomped off into the back of the office there and got her manager. The manager eventually came out, he tells me that he don't appreciate customers pounding on their glass windows. So basically what she did was she went, and instead of telling him the truth that she was refusing to take my quarters she insisted, while completely a lie, she told him I was pounding on the glass. Anyhow he ended up taking the quarters after talking to me for a bit but... Thought it was interesting that that happened.
