Rude trash works here. The owner is the worst. Whiny, old, sjw broad. I watched her berate a customer for no reason. The owner wants to run a business, but locks the door and won't let people inside. Homeless take showers in the bathrooms, but working customers get kicked out. The place is really dirty; idk how the health inspectors allow them to stay open. The hot water doesn't even work. Staff is slow and old and can't handle more than 1 or 2 customers before having a breakdown. Think of every small joint with good service that shut its doors after pinching pennies for years. BEWARE - I put $ 20 in a machine and it malfunctioned immediately before I could play. Did I get my money back even though an employee watched the whole thing? OH HELL NO! I was told I needed to file a claim which required my driver's license, etc. A complete waste of time. Their "audit" (nobody called me as promised) as they call it found no extra money in the machine. All you have to do is observe the security cameras and you'll see 100% what I'm saying is true. Whomever is in charge is a liar, incompetent, or both. I called the corporate office. The representative was nice and said a manager would call me - which never happened. This place is a smoky dump. I like Dotty's, warts and all. Though lately, I have been noticing that they definitely have been tweaking the machines and I'll cut back on visiting. Far fewer bonuses and much lower payouts, regardless of how high/low you are betting. I find staff at virtually all locations friendly and welcoming, with the odd grump here and there. read more

This review is actually for Dotty's marketing customer service for lack thereof. I submitted seven different change of address forms since April 2023 September 5th 2023 I finally received my mailings three days after the first coupon expired I called twice a day everyday from the 5th to the 19th asking for my coupon to be honored given it was not received until after the date after 2 weeks of continuous follow-ups I finally received a return phone call and after 10 minutes of run around I finally said bottom line is you're not going to honor the coupon and was told definitely no. I have frequented daughters for over 27 years I have saying it's praises to everyone who would listen I love my local Dotty's but marketing really needs to get it together I would have accepted graciously a response that said we're sorry for the inconvenience but we do not honor expired coupons regardless of when they were received instead of snide incredulous comments to which I had to finalize the conversation I was disregarded and belittled and after this many years and the amount of money that has been spent and won the best way to handle this situation should have been to look my account up see that I'm a dedicated customer and honor the coupon. Now this was not a three or four dollar coupon this was a 61 dollar coupon a significant amount to anyone but to be completely disregarded can dismissed really makes me rethink my loyalty read more

It should b shut down honestly. We have been 2 times over the past 6 months and spent $500 each visit with no win back at all. I hit a bonus on 40 cent bet. Raised bet to $1. Never hit a bonus out of $100!! What a racket! I play keno and video poker daily at one of the 3 Dotty's near my house. I wear tank tops jeans and sneakers almost daily. I went to 8699 W Charleston Blvd location on 8/17 at about 2pm and was told that I needed to get something to cover my shoulders or leave. By no means was I inappropriately dressed, as no cleavage or belly showed. Also I had jeans and sneakers on. I've lost a lot of money dressed Exactly as I was that day with no one ever saying anything. I'd like to know at what point did Dotty's go from causual relaxed to uptown chic?? I visited this location at 2:40pm , it's 102 degrees outside in a desert and i got told that i needed another shirt if i chose to stay in the establishment. I was wearing a black gym shirt that was open on the sides and denim shorts. The shirt was made specifically open, i did not cut or alter the shirt in any way. Employee, an older gentleman, comes up to me, sees that i am in fact gaming, but proceeds to tell me that if i want to stay in the establishment i was going to have to change my shirt. There was no one near me nor was I causing any type of issue. I felt it extremely unnecessary and highly discriminatory because he clearly didn't want a young gay guy in the bar. I've never had any issues wearing the exact same shirt at any other location. read more

March 25, 2018. The bartender was the rudest woman I've ever met. She made condescending remarks to me and other clients. I won over $300.00 so I tipped her $ 20.00 She continued to treat me like total crap, when I thought I might have possibly lost my drive lic with some cash ( may be it feel out of my pocket) I kindly asked if anyone turned it in, she was so rude about it I asked her who her manager was...she refused to tell me and called the police on me. I've been waiting on my red ticket for almost 2 weeks calling marketing and filling out all kinds of forms. My tickets get sent to dottis 72 thru their canteen service. I called up to marketing and they say my case is open I received my bingo this month but no red tickets. I'm stuck here at dottis and waiting for my tickets everyday the manager is here and said to just wait. I need my tickets seeing as they are lost I was told the manager is the only one that can do this but the manager says marketing and they don't return calls. I've left numerous messages. I love this little place! Especially when the "dream team" is there! The bartenders Pete and Sue are such a dynamic duo! Love seeing their friendly smiling faces! :) They're very friendly and welcoming! I come here 3-5 times a week just to see them! Well and to hopefully make some cash and tip them! The place is clean but smokey, obviously because people are smoking and gambling:) They serve food too, I've had some items in the past and they were good but being on a different diet I usually eat before or after I come. But I see what Pete brings out to other patrons and it looks good and they never complain or send it back so it must be good. I also like the swing bartender Kenny. He's super friendly as well! I like that this place also has a dress code, no shoes, no shirts, no service!!!! AND they have the cheapest smokes in town!!!! They also send me free play so I can chance winning even more! I really love Dotty's but I will not be returning to this location. I have had my last experience dealing with the bartender there named Carmen. I have never been treated so disrespectfully ever at any establishment. I was told that I was being slowed down because I had 3 glasses of wine in 2 hours I was not driving I was with family . Not to mention when I went to purchase 2 packs of cigarettes I used one of my coupons Carmen told me that the coupons were a huge increase and that she had to do them separately and she signed and mumbled under her breath I told her I was sorry for the inconvenience and she ignored me. There wasn't a clean ash tray to be found the were all full and on the counter top. My daughter pushed a ashtray towards and asked if Carmen could empty it because it was full and my daughter didn't need it because she dosent smoke . Carmen told her she would when she got a chance to. I am just in shock of the events that happened. Carmen was cooking food and cashing tickets out without using gloves or washing hands in between. Carmen at one point propped the door open so she wouldn't have to buzz anyone in. I had a little old lady playing next to me that said that made her feel very unsafe with the door being wide open and she left. But what really iced the cake was that Carmen had a full tavern she only greeted you once and ask what you initially want to drink after that she didn't ask. I asked her for all 3 of my drinks they weren't offered except for the first . However with a full tavern she had rime to be on her phone. Also when using the ladies room someone had made a very unsanitary mess the bartender was told and she replied put load that's not my job I'm not cleaning it. Ive never been inside of the venue but my son, who lives there, assured me that their cigarettes was SUPER CHEAP, compared to Hawaii prices! I thought it's a decent place that serves cheap drinks, and if you expect a lot more than that, you are in the wrong place. But that opinion was shattered last night. My friends and I were having a private conversation when a couple of nosy people decided to interject and threw offensive statements at us. I'd have no problem with this had they decided to communicate with us in a civilized manner, or bothered to defend their statements. Instead, after verbally assaulting us they complained to Gail. Gail then lectured us about how we 1. were NOT AS IMPORTANT as her other customers 2. shouldn't speak freely in public. I questioned why she wasn't simply throwing out the two people creating a problem and she indicated that they "gamble a lot". I will not be gambling nor drinking at a Dotty's property in the future; there's plenty of cleaner and better alternatives around town that show respect to everyone. read more

I walked in just to buy ciggerettes, but I will never come back to this location. The customer service is horrible and they clearly don't want new business. I look rather young, but I'm 27 so I was carded immediately, no big deal. But what upset me is Sue told me I could not stay because I wearing PJ pants, they have a dress code. Really!? It's just Dottys... and I looked no dress code posted any where. It was ridiculous, and not the way I want to be treated. I hope in the future if this is truly a rule that they post this "dress code" clearly and before people enter the establishment.
