Wow - Double Barrel BBQ in Sedro Woolley. Knocked our socks off. They were out of brisket by the time we got there but the ribs and chicken were awesome. We will definitely be back for the brisket. We first tried this new restaurant in early March 2019. At that time, they had a buffet, but have since learned the buffet is no longer available. What I had (chicken and brisket, mac and cheese, baked beans, homemade root beer), was good overall. The bad: chicken was dry and lacking in flavor. Wow! This place was soo good. We stopped at this place on our way through Sedro Woolley and were super impressed. We got the pulled pork sandwich, chopped chicken sandwich, fried zucchini and fries and everything was excellent. They also had very safe COVID protocols and were very friendly. OMG - this BBQ joint knows what it is doing. We got the Memphis Monster sandwich with 1 lb. of pulled pork and 2 sides (Baked beans and Mac and cheese) and everything was fantastic. The pork has great smoky flavor and there's plenty of it, the slaw on the sandwich is perfect, and the roll, even the roll was off the chain with it's crispy crust. I always get mac and cheese at BBQ places and my wife always hates it ... UNTIL NOW! She said this mac and cheese is in the top 1% she's ever had. We tried the original and honey sweet sauces and both have great flavor with a nice little kick at the end. They brought me pulled chicken & I waited over 20 minutes for my pulled pork, the server had to ask the kitchen 3 different times for my pulled pork. Pretty good bbq for the N.W. but not Texas bbq that Im use to enjoying. Could use some tweeking on the bbq sauce. Beef brisket way way over cooked and dry, smoke flavor only on surface not pushed through to middle of brisket. Dont a fan of shaved brisket. Eother chopped or slabbed on a roll. Ribs same over cooked, not much flavor on dry rub. Seem like nice folks. Reasonable prices. They have real fresh cut fries !! read more

5 star service! We pulled in off a road trip because the place looks cool. Walked in and found out they were 15 min before closing, and didn't want to impose, but the gentleman insisted that he would love to serve us and we could sit and stay as long as we needed. Wow. The food and service was great at our wedding so I would highly recommend Double Barrel BBQ! My (now) husband discovered them because they had catered an event at his work and he loved their food both then and at our wedding. All of our guests were thrilled with the food as well. They were also great about providing ingredient info for each dish when I asked for it, so that we could ensure our guests with dietary restrictions would have enough options. I'm not a meat-eater myself but there were plenty of other delicious options for me (and the other non meat-eaters) to enjoy! After the event we had a bit of a misunderstanding about the gratuity, but the whole thing turned out to just be miscommunication between multiple parties and not the fault of Double Barrel BBQ or anyone else in particular. I would like to thank Jim (the owner) for taking the time to listen to and thoroughly address my concerns when I raised them and hearing his version of events enabled us to quickly come to a solution. Double Barrel's business model and customer service shows that they really do care about customer satisfaction and are always striving to improve wherever they can. Stopped by after a weekend camping at Baker Lake and the food was excellent! I grew up in Texas, so I can attest to the authenticity of the brisket. The wings were crispy and smoked to perfection, some of the best I've ever had. Sadly though, and also in true Texas fashion, they don't believe in wearing masks either and the county is experiencing some of that highest cases in the state. The staff was even openly talking about their defiance and recent mask controversy the restaurant has been experiencing which made me feel like they were mask shaming me for wearing a mask. As I am writing this, the county is surging and considered "high risk" in Covid cases and the governor has issued a mask mandate. I get it, it's all probably silly since dine in eating is allowed without masks, but I don't feel comfortable with a restaurant deciding which health codes they wish to honor in their restaurant, it's a little unsettling! Got my food to go and ate it in the safety of my liberal bubble in Seattle. The wings alone might be worth it if I get Covid though. Nervously laughs. read more

I hate to give a family restaurant such a poor review but the best thing I can say is the atmosphere is nice. We live close by and have been wanting to stop in for awhile so when we stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasn't busy we were excited to try a new place.... lots of open seats but we got ignored when we walked in with 2 kids. Our waitress was absolutely horrible. we had to remind her to bring our drinks took us forever to get just our drinks with 2 kiddos and it being dinner time it was getting rough. We ordered 2 side Mac and cheese for the kids and my husband and I ordered the 3 meat sampler(chicken, ribs, brisket side coleslaw/potato salad). This is a bbq place nothing we ordered would have to be cooked to order so after an hour of waiting we asked our waitress how much longer and can we at least get the kids Mac n cheese .... hello hungry kids!!!! She was so rude and told me she didn't know how long it would be and that other tables were in front of us. So we were done!!!! We asked for the check!! She brought food out as we are trying to leave so we boxed it and took it home. As we left she tried to tell us sorry it's not her fault we need a cook a busser and more waitress but it was not busy she was ignoring all her tables we were not the only ones pissed off!! It was not good! NOT EVEN SMOKED!!!! Baked chicken ribs and brisket with bbq sauce on it pretty sure the potato salad was from Costco kids Mac n cheese was not good and seriously when it was brought out the presentation was not good just all thrown on the plate! read more

Looking into getting some pulled pork for a small event and was told I could stop by their new Restaurant in Sedro Woolley for a tasting. Went to the new restaurant in Sedro Woolley to test out the pulled pork and was told I had to pay for the buffet so $66.00 plus tip I figured it would work out in the end. Talked to several staff regarding ordering ten pounds of pulled pork for a family event was told it would not be a problem they needed a day notice. Called and emailed with no luck getting confirmation until the day before my event I was finally told that due to the new location opening they could not provide me with my request. So not only did I go to their restaurant and spend $66.00 to taste their food I was left hanging with no food for my event. Poor customer service. I wish you luck on your business expansion hope you don't let anyone else down. read more

Amazing BBQ!! We hired DBBBQ to feed guests for our son's rehearsal dinner and it was fantastic. It's the 2nd time we've used them and they didn't disappoint. Excellent food, great service and did I say excellent food? The beef brisket, pulled pork and ribs are top notch and the smoked chicken is tender and so yummy. The sides are excellent, too! I ordered a large rib dinner 21.99 and when I took it home it turned out to be a small rib portion 15.99. I called them and asked how many come in a large portion and was told 6-7 ribs. I told her I only received 4 ribs and was told oh sorry due to supply and demand we could only give you what you got then says we will discount you next time. So let me get this straight, I order a large and get a small but get charged large because you can't give me what I ordered??? Bad business!!! read more

My husband is working on building a beautiful house. The owners bought lunch for the crew which they got from here. I'M FROM TEXAS AND I KNOW MY BBQ! He saved me some BBQ Brisket & it was GOOD! I was completely surprised when I tasted it without sauce. It didn't look moist so I wasn't expecting much. IT WAS MOIST AND AFTER A NIGHT IN THE FRIDGE IT IS STILL MOIST! I ran directly to my phone & pulled up Yelp to see what else D.B. BBQ has to offer. FRIED OKRA & PECAN PIE & HOT LINKS really stood out because they are hard to find. I will be going there this weekend. I'm going to buy everything & I will let you know how it is. I'm also looking forward to eating their Cherry Wood Smoked Chicken! Two thumbs up! As a Texas girl, y'all do some fine BBQ. I'm not easily impressed but I had a little bit of home when I walked into your restaurant. For those with peanut allergies, this is not for you. There are little buckets of peanuts on the table and shells all over the floor. The sliced brisket was delicious (according to the group I was with), the classic burger was perfect, apple pie & pecan pie a la mode were Mmmmmm. There is wine & spirits in addition to non-alcoholic beverages. The servers are Texas friendly. This was a great find with authentic Texas fare. Keep it up. read more

Slow, Rude, and Racist. My girlfriend, her family, and i came here to try something new. Worst decision ever! Waited a good 20 minutes after i ordered my food and they ended up giving me only half my order! I went up to them and let them know i only got half my order, the cashier said they were right on it. Ended up waiting another 30 minutes! My girlfriend's dad also ended up get charged extra for a sandwich that he didn't even order! The cashier's excuse was that she thought that we were all ordering together, when we specifically said that there was gonna be 2 separate orders. He asked for a receipt and the cashier handed him his receipt. it had the name Fernando on it. He explained to her that that was not his name and she said that "its just a name, it doesn't really matter" and "i just used that name to differentiate you from other customers. " My girlfriends dad is a brown, hispanic man with an accent. The cashier did not have the decency to ask for his name again and just gave him a name that she thought fit a man of his skin tone. As that was happening, my girlfriend and I told the cashier that we are still waiting on our food, she told her manager that we still needed our sandwich. The manager told the cashier to tell us that she can give us a free sandwich, since the other one got cold, if we'd like. The cashier told us that, and we told the cashier the we accept the offer, but she did not tell the manager, who then angrily asked us "do you want the free sandwich or not?" Just poor customer service all around. Not to mention that the cashier was handling money and making food at the same time, not bothering to wash her hands. The spoons had dirt on them, it was disgusting. Would not recommend others to eat here, horrible experience. Would give negative stars if i could. read more

During our search for wedding catering, we were lucky enough to find Jim and Double Barrel BBQ. From the beginning he assured us that everything would be taken care of by him and his staff. Jim is a man of his word. His crew arrived early, looked and acted professional, and was very attentive throughout our wedding dinner. The staff even walked around the tables and talked to the guests making sure everything was fine and helped bus the plates. For all couples worried about bbq as a wedding dinner, there's no need to hesitate with Double Barrel. We had the smoked prime rib and salmon with chicken, pulled pork, and portabella mushrooms for the vegetarians. For sides we had mashed potatoes, baked potato salad, vegetables, mac and cheese, caesar salad, and cornbread. Throughout the evening and even days later, our guests commented on how it was the best wedding food they had ever had and asked who catered our wedding. Everyone went back for seconds, and some people even took home doggy bags. I would highly recommend using Double Barrel for any special event. The food and service was top notch and the cost was half of what other fancy caterers would have charged for lesser, bland meals. Thank you, Jim and Dina. Fantastic food and service! I feel so lucky to have found Dina at Double Barrel BBQ. Double Barrel BBQ was the perfect pick for catering at my wedding. We had pulled pork, bbq'd chicken, cornbread, fresh veggies and fruit, macaroni salad and macaroni and cheese with an apple cobbler as the dessert. The staff were so wonderful. Setting up and cleaning up so quickly and discretely. The guests could not stop raving about how delicious the food was. They truly did an amazing job. I would recommend Double Barrel for any type of event. The food and service were incredible, and the cost is half as much as other caterers charged for for the same service. Double Barrel BBQ now "Double Barrel Catering " in Sedro Woolley -took our wedding deposit for $1100, to "save the date", 10 months prior to wedding. Then disappeared, phone calls/emails unanswered, website and Facebook page gone, Office Locked and looked abandoned, equipment gone. January the Posting came up "closed for Re-organization". Then a notice in a social Media website came out Early March 2017 that business was terminated on 2/13/17- after 2 years of litigation, Washington Corps data confirms. No formal notice, phone calls or emails were ever sent to current contract holders. Nor were we informed of pending issues. We then booked another Venue, and began to try to get our deposit back. Now the company is owned by James Lee and no longer Gretchen Lee, "Double Barrel BBQ Catering". He hopes to be up and running soon. James Lee told us if we sign a new contract with his company, our deposit will be credited, but if we want refunded we have to go through the Bankruptcy Court with Double Barrel BBQ, So he used our $$$ for a save the date hold 10 months prior to Venue and has restarted with enough capital a New Business "Name". We have found at least 4 other people with deposits ranging from $800-$1500 this has happened too. These young couples trusted this business for their Wedding and were ripped off. The triple booked our day, and seem to have taken a large amount of deposits they never intended to honor. This use to be a respectable business with great food and owner well liked. This is Fraud our deposits should have never been accepted by this business that far in advance, or needs to be returned... read more

This is the best BBQ in Washington State. I live in Seattle and have tried all the joints in the city and 'burbs, and nothing compares. We almost always stop here if going to B.C. Nothing fancy. Sawdust on the floor. All the peanuts you can eat before your order arrives. Sauce on the side. Tender, not over-cooked or pre-cooked ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Good value too. They have take-out. The "Double Barrel" is the big hulk outside where everything good happens - at least twelve hours long. read more
