    Oregon blue salad
    Colleen L.

Double Mountain was my final stop on my most recent trip to Oregon. It was recommended to me and I was not disappointed. They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!

It's pizza. A bit disappointing when they say it's New Haven, would work on the crust a bit, does hit the spot when needing nourishment, but not New Haven, sorry. Rather greasy and big flop.

For some reason this seems to always be the place we stop at for a meal when we're in the area. The beer selection is good, but the menu is better than some that are nearby. Service has always been good (otherwise we wouldn't come back) and the food as expected. Prices are good for portion size and food tastes great. Lots of indoor seating and some outside as well. Just a solid place to come for a pint and a bite.

Our favorite pizza spot in the gorge. The mushroom truffle is worth the drive alone. Always have good rotating beers on tap. We usually like their seasonal pizza too.

Stopped by double mountain with some friends the weekend of our wedding (we had their cider and beer for our guests a few days later!) and we grabbed a pizza! The pizza was incredibly delicious I wish I came back for more before leaving town! The servers were chill and friendly and the ambiance was super lovely and upbeat. They had a live performance when we came so it was really fun!

Double mountain is one of my favorite pizza places in the gorge! They offer gluten free choices and cider which are all tasty and delicious. They have a handful of beer on tap to choose from too. I'd recommend checking them out if you are craving pizza!

We stopped in here after exploring around the town. We ordered a salad, two pizzas (a salami pie and truffle shuffle), a club sandwich and tuna melt. All of the food was really good! The truffle shuffle was my favorite though. The tuna melt was good but different with the tuna being an actual patty and not loose meat. I liked that it was served like that though, less messy! We wished we could have sat outside in their individual covered patio tables but the party in front of us snagged it before we could. Overall, great portions and a good experience.

Our food was delicious! The peppers on the pizza added a little extra flavor and crunch! We sat outside, the kids could move around and were not confined to sitting in one spot and that was nice. We came to Hood River for a couple of days and we will definitely be back if we are ever in the area.

I'm visiting from out of town and went to Double Mountain for a late night bite. I didn't go inside (because I had my dog with me) and I loved that they had outdoor seating. They had great wooden benches that felt private as well as some picnic tables. Even water bowls for dogs! Service was attentive, quick and the people were very helpful! Lastly, the food was decent! We got the Heirloom Pie & Salami Pie. They had pretty thin crusts (I usually like the thick crust) lots of toppings, and slices were large. Overall, not too shabby!

    Cider Flight

Despite a full restaurant, we were seated immediately! We ordered the Cider Flight- which is a predetermined selection of 5 ciders. All 5 ciders had unique flavor profiles, but we both preferred the Lil Ice the best. We split an order of Pretzel Bites- which were served warm with buttery crusts & just the right amount of salt! The dipping mustard & cheese sauce were amazing! We also split the Grilled Tuna which was a grown-up tuna sandwich! It had fresh arugula, tasty pickled red onions, & a nice tuna patty served on a perfect ciabatta roll. We also shared the Irish Stout Brownie which was a wonderful, warm, dense brownie served under a generous scoop of ice cream. We would definitely eat here again!

Excellent pizza! We got the salami pie with white sauce and it was phenomenal! The crust is perfection. The caesar salad was tasty, the cheesy break was divine and the mezze platter was great (yummy hummus). The beers are also excellent. This is a very great brewery that doesn't get nearly enough recognition!

Bad start but we decided to go for it (I planned this stop because they had good looking food and cocktails for the non wine drinkers). There were maybe 4 tables occupied, so I was surprised it would take "a long while". One person from my party went directly to the restroom so didn't hear what was said, when he came out he went to the bar and asked if he could order a flight which he received a strict "no it's going to be a long while" Lol I understand being overwhelmed or whatever, we're human, but to have the attitude was unnecessary. We left after a few minutes and spent $400 at another winery down the road. Which by the way was much busier but because they were kind we stuck it out, our server made a good chunk on tips too. But the service is beyond slow. 20 minutes in another part our group asked if the food was ready and was told it would take 30 minutes. After the half hour long wait was up we inquired again and asked that the food be changed to go because we did not have the entree afternoon to wait. When we finally got the food it was not made to go. I asked for that again since we'd be waiting like 45 minutes to which the employee corrected me saying it had "only been 40 minutes"and the employee declined, gave us two cartons so that we could do that ourselves. With just a few minutes before our ride arrived we return to our table to eat. I soon learned why the food took so long. Well done doesn't describe the burger patties. Both we so over cooked and burnt the they were crunchy with the overwhelming taste of charcoal from being so burnt. The French fries that came with it were also awful. The taste was that of fries that were quite likely older than the order we placed. So the Ferment Brewing Company wins the trifecta. Slow service, Ruid employees, and awful food. I trust that the great community of Hood River has some good places to eat but regrettably FMC is absolutely not one of them.
