Saturday, Labor Day Weekend. I got stuck in my house. My 8 foot, front door wouldn't open. Double Quick came a few hours later. Professional. Fast. And got the job done. I called every door installer and locksmith (that said they did door hardware or adjustments) in the Yellow Pages. I posted for Help on Yelp and either businesses were closed on the weekends or said they didn't do what I needed. Shady owner Gabriel who probably has friends or dummy accounts post 5-star reviews. I'd give 0 stars if I could. He was the first to respond when I locked myself out of my apartment, and quoted me a flat $125. I acquiesced, and his technician called me to confirm my address. Technician came within 20 minutes. Great! But here's where it all went downhill. He said that the company also charges for mileage and requests after normal business hours, and gave me a new quote of $182.20. I agreed for expediency, knowing that I just got duped. I don't blame the technician, I blame the boss who employs such shady business practices. I'm sure he's done the same to countless others, and I can't stand for that, so I'm putting up this review. Don't use this company. I'm sure he'll just reincorporate and do the same thing once enough people find out, but at least I can report him here. read more

-This guy has a really nasty attitude. I have a car rental business and i used him a bunch of times. Only reason i used him that many times is because after the first time he just became my key guy. Since the day i met him i could sense the tension. He would make snippy comments at me. At first it was tolerable. But the more i used him the more comfortable he got at showing me his nasty character -i asked him because i will be using him regularly if he would be willing to give me discounts, he was really reluctant but he said after the 5 time he would. The fifth time came and i asked for a discount and he said i was "horrible" and after long thinking he gave me a $3 discount on a $300 bill. Im horrible because i asked for a discount that YOU said you would give? You should be a stand up comedian not a lock guy because thats hilarious. I think that makes you horrible -His prices are also expensive compared to other lock guys. -UPDATE: no it wasnt a scam. It was the owner. Gabe or gabriel. Easily irritated attitude. Not american. Had a light accent. Maybe hispanic maybe light skinned middle eastern? Im not sure the race but i clearly remember his looks. Don't use these guys they going rip you off. They basically don't know what they doing? If you take out the key that is stuck in an ignition and it's not damaged in anyway why would you even cut another key and charge us. You know it wasn't the key. Its was the ignition. Which you should've said you know what the key came out good doesn't look like it's damaged it has to be the ignition core at that point I would've said okay never mind it's too much. But you said $79 dollars to cut a key and at the end you charge me $379 to pull out something that honestly only took wd40 and two taps under the ignition core and cut a new key. I locked myself out of my apartment this morning on my way to work. I went to work and searched on Yelp for a locksmith that would be able to meet me in the early evening. I requested a quote from a different locksmith and for the first time used the feature that Yelp provided to contact other locksmiths in the area. Gabriel responded to the request in the most professional manner. I had about 5 others respond with less than a full sentence. I responded to Double Quick by phone and spoke to Gabriel directly. His phone etiquette was just as lovely as the email response I had received earlier and we made plans to meet at my apartment after work around 4PM. Gabriel showed up on time and got me in my house within a few minutes. I was impressed that he had asked me for proof that I did live in this space before opening the lock. I've been in this situation before and never had to provide proof which I thought was crazy considering you could be asking this locksmith to open anyone's home.
