Ever heard of a mortise lock? Apparently something very old and supposedly super secure. Well, we had an issue with a mortise lock at our home and fortunately Danny came to our rescue. Since we had such great service the first time, we called on this team of experts again, it was a quick call on speed dial :) The service call was easy to explain our issue. As requested, I took photos and sent them in. We received a quote for the work that needed to be done and just like that, it was easy to schedule an appointment on the same day. Earlier this week, I had dropped my car key and as a result a piece fell off making the casing loose. I came to Yelp to get some quotes on a replacement key. Isle Locksmith was one of the first to respond to me. Out of all the quotes that I had received and reading reviews, I felt their quote was fair and on par with the service that I had requested. We scheduled the appointment for yesterday, but due to things outside of their control, they called me to ask to reschedule and were able to quickly reschedule for today. Promptly this morning, John called to let me know that his technician was running late on a job and will come to me about hour later than planned. I was appreciative of the constant communication. The tech, Shai was very friendly and apologetic for him being late. I was totally fine with it and waited on my porch while he got to work. He did an excellent job and even got the trunk button to work again! That was a bonus I was not expecting. This has been a positive experience. Owner is stating a lie that I told them that I had two keys. One for the door and one for the ignition. I don't have any keys. I just needed a key for the ignition and I've said that many times. I am glad I called them! I tried to replace a door knob for my carport closet but was having problems. Jonathan showed up about an hour later and got the door knob on in a few minutes. However that wasn't the real problem. The door had swelled after the recent heavy rains and humidity so it didn't close properly. Jonathan spend the next three hours adjusting/changing the hinges. He then used a dremel tool to grind down the edges of both doors so they closed. Jonathan went the extra mile. He was very professional and friendly. So to me, the price was worth it. Ever since the COVID shot I have been slow witted and mfing tired. I feel like a zombie sometimes awake yet sleeping. So much of my walking life feels like one long sleep walk if you will. I found this out when I locked my keys in the running car at fn Safeway picking up my not so drive up and go order. I mean drive up and stay order. So fkn shame! Here I was stuck, I don't even know how the heck I had enough gumption to have my phone in my pocket, that was my only saving grace! Holding back wanting to throw up for being the biggest disappointing duphus in the whole wide world I yelped the first person I saw. In my head I'm thinking going be like the junk removals where nobody answer the phone and 2 hours later they call back, I just know it, and what going happen if I gotta take a mean dump? It was already starting to drizzle but Lo and behold a real voice I probably stammered in disbelief but the guy said he could be there in 10-15 minutes! 15 minutes?! Yes I'd like to get off this bad luck merry go round in 15 minutes. And in 15 minutes he magically appeared. It took all of two minutes to let me back in. Costed about 160 to get off the merry go round. I thought it was worth it considering at that point I just like go home and drink until I like myself enough to live thru the next disappointing day.
