Today we stopped by Doug Henry Ford Tarboro "just to look" at a brand new 2016 F350 that we saw on their website. It was perfect!! We met with Tobias Queen (a team leader) actually a who took us for a test drive and my boyfriend fell in love (with the truck not Tobias). Tobias made the buying experience easy. Once we decided to buy there was a bit of an extended wait while the financing was approved (it was a Saturday so a longer wait was not surprising). We then met with Holt Holbrook who went over the financing and the paperwork. He was excellent! Everyone was great! The greeter, Gray was really nice. Jonathan Waters (at the front desk) was awesome! He and a few of the other guys even came out to send us off and wish us well. It was like a mini farewell party! After several hours their, I could not get the truck because the high mileage, they said. It turn out that they ran so many credit inquires that it brought my credit down near 50 points. I flew from Minnesota to North Carolina to get the car I wanted from Doug Henry in Tarboro North Carolina. They picked me up at the airport and drove me 70 miles to their dealership. I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted then drove it back to Minnesota. Jack and Lee were great. They had all the paperwork ready for me. Everything went smoothly. I was called to Doug Henry Ford by Tori stating that there was a recall on my car, and that they needed it back as soon as possible. She informed me that they would either write me a check for my car's value, or I could trade it in for something else. (I've had several issues with the car within the past 3 years, so I told her I did not want another car from Doug Henry). I scheduled a day to go there and got a rental for 2 days, so that I would have time to go to other dealerships and find a dependable car. Jack Goff is a wonderful person, and I am so happy he was there to assist me!!! He couldn't find any information on a recall on my car, but decided to begin the paperwork to begin the process. Tori came back from lunch and stated she never told me there was a recall on my car. She states she told me I could come there to speak with their business partners about purchasing another car. THAT'S A LIE!!! I decided to go home and think it over, but decided that I truly need a dependable car, and Jack stated he could help me find a car. We found the perfect car, but I was unable to get it because I need another transmission on my car ( and Lee states the equity needed to be 5,000 for the car, so I would have ended up paying extra for a car). They were dead set on having me purchase a tiny Ford Focus, which I stated from the beginning I did no like. I was at the company from 11 am until 5 pm, and still left without a car because they would only work out a deal with me for a Ford Focus! Now I'm stuck with a car that I've had trouble with since the first month of purchase; I was told and have in writing that my car came with 2 years of free maintenance , but Brandon M told me it was a misprint that they could not honor. He also tossed the paper at me, and informed me that the next time I step foot on the property I would need an attorney with me. Joe Tillary also told me prior to purchasing the car that I could receive the free maintenance and that my extended warranty would begin when the 2 years ended...he later LIED and stated he never said anything about the warranty. When you speak with MOST of the reps at Doug Henry...you need an attorney, tape recorder, and a signature in blood. I WILL NEVER step foot on this property again, and I would not recommend anyone to this company. Jack Goff and Brandon Drake (who no longer works there) are the kindest people I have ever met, and it is a shame they have to be associated with a company that is built on lies and deceit.
