The chocolate was better that average, worth consuming, but would've preferred some organic chocolate options. The Chai bar was very good, I love it was a collab with Great Lakes Tea & Spice in nearby Glen Arbor, would repurchase! Also tried the dark chocolate sea salt bark - expected it to have a noticible smoky flavor with the applewood smoked sea salt, it was too subtle/almost not there. The La Croix of sea salt. The vibe of the staff was a bit snooty? They seemed a bit judgy. Would I come back to Grocer's Daughter? Yes. Hopefully the judgmental air was a one-off situation!

It's not too sweet and it has the perfect taste of Oreo filling. Each batch is made fresh and every time I get a box of fudge it's still very soft. Their packaging is so simple but cute and the seal is very new. (Also comes with a complementary knife). The inside of Murdick's is old fashioned and they make fudge the traditional way behind the display so your able to see how they make the fudge you purchase! Fun for kids to watch. Service is quick and easy so your not there for too long! They have a wide variety of flavors, and your bound to find something you enjoy. They have samples and I tried the chocolate cherry and chocolate pecan; both were tasty. When I buy fudge, I usually get something with caramel or something with peanut butter ... Today I bought caramel sea salt. Finally tried a bit when at home just now, and it's delicious. I believe it was about $8.50 for one slice. It's kind of an "old-school" fudge place and not very exciting inside, hence the 3/5 for that. No bathroom, also, as far as I could see. I'd come back here again for the fudge, though.

Typically our family will buy a half pound slab or two of Murdick's Fudge, because it is everywhere up here in the Traverse Bay area. I am *devastated* that I wasted thirty-some-odd years of my life on such sub-par fudge. I had no idea. 45th Parallel's Candy World (Yelp administrators, please correct your spelling) is a tiny shop on the side of a restaurant, but it has a hundred years of memories inside. Everything from clove candy, bubble gum cigars, big league chew, sour pucker powder, and even a giant Sugar Daddy. But behind the case are around twenty flavors of truly decadent, top-quality, gourmet fudge. Flavors such as dark chocolate salted caramel, bubble gum, maple nut, and peanut butter chocolate (complete with halved Reese's cups on top) tease the eyes while making the salivary glands work overtime. Our family's favorite is the dark chocolate salted caramel- the perfect amount of sea salt, and not at all bitter. Check the board outside for specials: today's was "buy one pound, get 1/2 pound free". When you're in the Suttons Bay/Leelanau area, bypass Dam Candy and Murdick's and head STRAIGHT for Candy World!

We found ourselves in Boyne City last night and bought some stuff from here, actually not even knowing that Petoskey is the OG location (going there today). Because I was buying fudge I was able to skip the line and purchase over on the side counter, and the lady who helped me was super nice. I haven't tried any of the chocolate yet but Kilwins is always really good. A little expensive, but good. It's Kilwins old fashioned candy shop. Home of chocolate decadence. Now if we can just keep it from Dr. Abdul. You might have thought it's the ladies at this location. It makes sense. They're adorable and fun to talk to. Nobody makes you feel more welcome in their store. But alas, I'm afraid it's the high quality chocolate. It's in the candies, the confections, the fudge and of course their homemade ice cream. What a fun place to "cheat" on one's diet! While I've never walked out of here with something non-chocolate, Mrs. E. does so every visit. Today it was coconut ice cream. Proof that it's much more than just top shelf chocolate. I haven't tried it but I've seen pepperoni pizza, caramel apples and several flavours of gelato. Another excuse to sneak in here! 10/23
