I asked for some bu (Vietnamese mayo) on the side for my toasted baguette. The waitress was happy to bring me some. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious here and had a perfect balance of bold coffee with a hint of sweetness from the condensed milk. Most of my relatives ordered pho and said it was delicious. The broth was aromatic and tasted comforting. I was able to try some from my husband's bowl. I notice there were a lot of online orders that come into the store, which is always a good sign of business. Comfort food, great company, made me felt like I was eating back in my home. That's not an exaggeration. It factors into where I stay. My order basically never changes. Cheesesteak, fries, a beer, and a bourbon or an Irish whiskey depending on the mood. I've had it enough times now that I'd notice if anything slipped, and it hasn't. The vibe is a big part of why I keep coming back. It's never so packed that you can't hear yourself, and there's a clear crew of regulars who are obviously here all the time. That's usually a good sign about a place, and it is here. But the food is the reason. It's to die for. I'll keep coming back as many times as humanly possible whenever work puts me in the area.
