Absolutely stellar repair shop! I started bringing my RAV4 to Dave's after my warranty expired because the dealer (Swickard) kept upselling unnecessary services. I was really impressed with Dave's honest diagnosis and fair pricing, so I was a bit nervous when Edgar took over the business. Luckily, Edgar and his team are just as reliable - very efficient and have excellent diagnostic skills. In addition to regular oil changes, I've had my spark plugs replaced here, and their pricing was even better than the dealership. They also identified a couple of maintenance issues that the dealer completely missed, though it turns out they're not urgent. I appreciate that Edgar was upfront about this and just suggested keeping an eye on them for future maintenance appointments. On top of that, my glove compartment had been sticking for months - Edgar figured out the problem and fixed it in under two minutes! They ended up doing extra work once they got into the vehicle that they didn't notice before they gave me a quote, and didn't charge me for because they hadn't talked to me about it in advance. i've gone to Dave's auto for many years, but over the summer, Edgar Vargas, a master mechanic purchased the business and opened it November , 2025. I own a 1987 Cadillac Deville that belonged to my mother and is in pristine condition. Both the heater radiator had gone out. I was hesitant at first because not all auto shops offer good service like Dave did. The engine had also been leaking a great deal of oil and I mentioned that to Edgar. Edgar fixed the heater and radiator, but upon examining the engine, discovered that it needed to have a complete rebuild in order for the car to function properly. He called numerous shops in the area, but they. ALL REFUSED TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE OF ITS AGE. EDGAR DIDN'T GIVE UP!! he's having the engine rebuilt by someone in eastern that he known for 20 years and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Needed to get my cooling system diagnosed, found my temperature gauge fluctuating. Thought it could be my thermostat failing. Called Dave's Auto talked with Vincent and scheduled an appointment. At the time they weren't able to get me in until a couple of weeks. They were super busy which is not a surprise at all. So my appointment was scheduled at opening time at 8am. I was there few minutes before met Dave himself he was very nice and assured that the car will be looked at today, and as soon as the car is done he will call me. By 12 noon I got the call. My car didn't have any major issues with the cooling system. All I had was a faulty radiator cap. Dave and his crew went ahead and replaced my faulty cap with a brand new one. As well as doing a pressure test to make sure there weren't any leaks, and did a radiator flush and refill. Dave's auto service is a very trustworthy company. There are not very much honest mechanics these days. Let alone auto service places that provide top customer satisfaction. Thank you Dave and his mechanics. I took my Prius to Dave's after noticing a very slight oil leak. They got me scheduled really quickly and were very friendly on the phone. After leaving my car at Dave's, it took them less than an hour to take a look at it and call me with the diagnosis. I was shocked at how quick they were. Unfortunately I had a really bad experience at Dave's. I took my 4Runner in to get a standard check up and get some new brakes. Dave's had my vehicle for a long time and replaced the brakes, but mentioned something about the wheel bearing making noise. Upon getting my car back there was a new vibrating noise around the front tire of the vehicle. They said that they couldn't figure out the issue.... my family and I then embarked on a road trip to Phoenix. Halfway there the wheel bearing shattered and tore up my brake rotor and speed sensor. I was able to find someone in Utah to fix the wheel completely. They mentioned that the wheel bearing that shattered was old and rusted and was never replaced. I was shocked to hear this because that's why I took it to Dave's, to get a check up and fix the brakes/wheels. I had a terrible experience and don't trust Dave's auto knowledge. read more

I love this place. Every time I have called in or taken my car in, Dave and the other employees have treated me kindly and have seemed very upfront. Dave has even made suggestions on how to be most cost effective with the repairs I've been needing. Prices are extremely reasonable. They work in a really timely manner. Outstanding! I brought my 1998 Astro van in for brakes plus the fan that blows the heat was not working. They did my front brakes and fixed the fan.....however there was more to the heater fix than expected.....even though Dave quoted me a price....he had to spend more time fixing the heater....he was not going to charge me for the extra work....I insisted on paying for the additional time spent....this place is integral and trustworthy! My business relationship with Dave's began when JiffyLube wanted to charge me $44 for an oil change with my own oil & filter. Burn to the ground, JiffyLube! When I called Dave, he didn't have any openings until the following week. But when I told him I was driving out of town the next day, he told be to drop it off and he'd work it in. Less than an hour (and less than $20) later, my oil was changed and I was ready for my road trip. A few months later, my girlfriend's brakes were getting increasingly spongy and stressing on how much a repair would cost.
