The instructors know how to push the kids (mine are 3.5 & 7) enough so they're not "playing" but instead they're actually learning. I highly recommend Devin as an instructor as well as Saoirse. Splash Swim School in Walnut Creek has been outstanding for our family. What makes this place so…read morespecial is not just the program, it is the people. Coach Fio, Ryan, and Devon have been incredibly patient, encouraging, and kind with our kids. And Conor, the manager, truly sets the tone. He goes above and beyond to make families feel supported and welcomed, and it is clear he genuinely cares about each child's experience. Our kids can be tough customers and there have been plenty of lessons where they did not want to get in the water at all. The team never gets frustrated or makes it feel like a problem. They stay patient, meet the kids where they are, and keep the focus on helping them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. What we appreciate most is that they make learning fun while still teaching real water safety and swimming skills. That balance is not easy, and this team does it so well. We are very grateful for the care, consistency, and heart they bring every week. Highly recommend Splash Swim School, especially this Walnut Creek team.

We absolutely love it here, the kids adore their instructors. In particular our daughter, she looooves her instructor she can't wait to see her each week. They are both now pool safe which was my biggest concern and why we started swim lessons in the first place. I've recommended little swimmers to multiple friends for a few different reasons. One being they have two indoor pools that are nice and warm, no having to worry about shivering kids while they are in the water. The little pool only has 2 kids to a lesson at a time which is amazing, there are no distractions so my daughter really makes use of her 30 minute lesson. Having only the one lesson at a time in the pool is just priceless because you can hear everything and it's not chaotic like other places we've looked at. The larger pool where my son now swims will have another lesson going on but it's not crowded and still only 2 kids to 1 instructor. They get so much one on one time. Finally, my absolute favorite part about little swimmers is that the instructors are responsible and reliable. My kids aren't stuck with people they don't know each week, they've built trust and friendships with their instructors and that is a HUGE part in why they've become so comfortable and safe in the water. I highly recommend Little Swimmers to anyone looking to get their Kiddos pool safe.

There is zero time to talk to the untrained "coach" before or after class. The coach we had had zero EQ to teach a child.

The tools in the wood shop are great, and the instructors really know their stuff. What's more, those guys sure know how to keep a sharp edge on their equipment. Tuition is, in my opinion, up to what one would expect to pay in today's economy, especially considering that everyone is scrambling for cash to stay afloat, even the local government and its affiliated programs. The registration process on the archaic website is a touch on the byzantine side, though. It looks a lot like the very first website I ever coded when I was 16 years old. Uhh, now that I think about it, it looks like the website I designed a few years ago. But I'm no web designer, so hah! Point being, you're gonna have to dig around a little bit to find what you're looking for, but once you've found it, the actual act of registering for a class is pretty straightforward. Now, back to the woodworking instructors: Between the Bill and Dave, they've got about 70 years experience, 20 fingers, 20 toes, and 8 eyes (they both wear glasses). So I trust them to teach me the ways. I don't know if I'll ever be able to snatch the pebble from their hands, but I'm confident that they're showing me how to keep all my phalanges and body parts so that I could snatch that pebble, even if only in theory. I plan on taking many more courses here, especially in the "Working with Wood" category of classes. Now go forth and learn something new!
