Went for happy hour on a Friday as soon as it started and the place was empty. The drinks were our favorite part of the meal, no complaints on the old fashion! The meatballs were just okay, didn't wow us, the bread served on the side was burnt, not a good char. The wings were a decent size but lacked the flavor that was described on the menu, they were a little oily too. We did order a sausage personal pie as well, the sausage was good, just wished it was more evenly distributed, the crust was light and crispy.
On a business trip, I door-dashed a Godzilla pizza from this Dough location and added garlic to the pie. . .delivery brought it to my door in less than 10 minutes out of the oven, and that was the perfect delay. This meal was everything I want a pizza to be. . .flavorful, ingredients distributed all over the pizza, crust not too thick, and when they say Godzilla, they bring the fire. Wonderful experience and I look forward to visiting the location soon.
Great selection- especially loved the ceasar Salad, the zucchini chips, and the eggplant pizza. Waitstaff was excellent. We sat outside in the patio- breezy night. Would definitely go again!
We came Dough on a blazing hot Sunday for lunch. The entrance walls had some wonderful patriotic arts. They had tables available both indoor and outdoor, we decided to sit in the outdoor patio area. It looked very nice at start, but gradually the heat started to pick up. There was no fan or anything other than rare natural breeze. For indoor, the dining area was really nice, with mostly had high chair tables. The bar was huge. The menu had lots variety in brunch, small plates, greens, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas and seasonal entrees. The drinks menu had cocktails, mocktails and lots of other hard liquor options. We started the lunch with deviled eggs and zucchini crisps. Both were decent dishes. Zucchini crisp had lots of them with a tasty side of sauce. For entree, I got the hanger steak sandwich. The sandwich had good amount of steak, topped with onion and greens. But the steak pieces were huge that made it difficult to bite out of the sandwich. Having it in thinner slices or cubes would have been much better. The sourdough bread's crust also got super hard, was impossible me to bite around the corner. I had to tear off the edges of the bread. The grilled salmon was a big filet, really well cooked. But the lemon risotto was bland. My daughter got the kid's Mac and cheese that was excellent, whole plate was full of cheese. The mint condition and raspberry mule were solid mocktails to cool off the heatwave we were feeling. The service was decent overall. The dishes came out in short intervals. Our server was working hard, trying her best to keep up with multiple tables. We had to get her attention to request the utensils, takeout boxes and for the check. Hopefully she will get better as she gets more experience. By the time we done, the restaurant was fully packed, barely any space left in their parking lot.
Nice western style food in Dough. Flowery, bar, relaxing vibe through out the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating available. It was a nice day so we chose outdoor. It had some cover. We had devil eggs, zucchini crisp, salmon, hanger steak sandwich and kids mac&cheese. Zucchini crisp is not bad. A little bit too thin for me. The sauce is spot on. Great flavor. Salmon itself is very good crispy skin. Tender and soft meat. The risotto needs some work. Not creamy enough. I also had a blueberry drink (mocktail). Refreshing. Great for the hot day. Service was good. She had many tables so was a little busy. But overall she did a great job getting our orders, provided what we need/ask. All staff were friendly. They had live music going on indoor. Also had a baby shower going on. I can see this is a very popular spot.
Was looking for eggplant Parmesan and found it on Yelp so came here for that. Was pretty tasty. Red sauce was a little weak and I was looking for a more flavorful, bold tomato taste. The cutlets were good though and crispy. Plus the portion was insanely huge. Had for 3 meals. My husband tried the short rib chuck burger and said it was really good and housemade patty with quality meat. I stole some fries and those were hot and crispy too. Server was very friendly. Thank you!
Met up with friends for some wood-fired pizza, and this place was perfect for it! The restaurant feels like stepping into a beautiful log cabin--cozy and intimate for date nights, yet spacious enough for larger groups. They also have a full bar, craft beer and offer much more than just pizza, including vegan options, a great selection of appetizers, salads, handcrafted pastas, plus fish and steak dishes. The menu is really well done. We decided to share a few pizzas since the brick oven was calling our name: Margherita - fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil Pesto Chicken - wood-fired chicken, fresh basil, mozzarella, Fontina, and basil pesto Smokey the Pig - smoked mozzarella, baked prosciutto, field mushrooms, fresh garlic, and EVOO For dessert, we shared the coconut cake. It's plant-based, made with coconut milk and brown sugar, and topped with coconut flakes. The portion was easily enough for four people and absolutely delicious--super fresh and flavorful. Our server, Tara, was wonderful--so sweet and attentive. She checked in often, kept our drinks filled, and made sure we enjoyed everything from the food to dessert. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!
Great woodfired pizza, happy hour wine prices are good. They have several pizzas that can accommodate vegans, along with seasonal specials. The restaurant has a very warm atmosphere and a beautifully decorated bar. A great place for brunch or meeting with friends if they all have different diets, especially vegan members of your party.
Ugh, what happened to this place!?! The new and huge location has ample parking and seating but, my has this place gone downhill. It certainly does not feel family run anymore. The entrance has a huge homage to the grand ole USA. I fought the urge to salute or place my hand over my heart. Not gonna lie, it's a bit bizarre but whatever. Service now is mediocre...staff rarely checks on the table and forgot about that second drink order. It ain't happening. The once grand zucchini chips are now bland and boring. Pizza is borderline horrible...unless you enjoy both burnt and undercooked pizza simultaneously...but I guess that does take some skill.
THE GOOD ---------------- + Sensaaaaaationally delicious food ... and, more specifically, pizza!! ++++ Lacinato Kale and Roasted Squash Salad - Excellllent salad. Lots of kale, but was light and the combination of all of the ingredients were perfect. Red wine vinaigrette was perfect too, not too heavy. ++++ Shroom Pie, Pesto Chicken Pie - Absolutely phenomenal!!!! Some of the best pizza I've had in NJ! So much flavor in both pies. The pies were personal in size, 12", and perfect for 1 person. ++++ Kids Plain Pie - This 12" pie might have been the greatest kids pizza I've everrrrrr, eveerrrrrr had. There was so much flavor in the cheese and pie. It was tangy and the tomato sauce's flavor definitely hit me in allllll of the right spots! ++++ Kids Mac and Cheese - Verrrry, verrrry good as well. Cheese was gooey and it was topped with bread crumbs. It was served in a skillet and didn't come out piping hot, which we appreciated since it was for the kids. + Supppper spacious restaurant with LOTS of tables, including a bar with counter seats. + Waitress was personally friendly and quick. + Large private parking lot. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Sat for 15 minutes before we were tended to by someone while other tables that sat down after us were already getting their orders taken. Only downside to our experience here. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Make reservations on their website! The restaurant was extremely busy on the February Saturday evening that we went. We were here from 5:30-7:00 PM and it was bustling with many groups/families. CONCLUSION --------------------
- Huge standalone restaurant with its own large private parking lot--absolutely necessary for the busy Saturday dinner crowd; definitely make a reservation, or you may be waiting a while for a table - The interior dining room is dimly lit and spacious, with a mix of standard tables, high-tops, and bar seating; tables are decently spaced, so it feels lively but not cramped - Service started off slow--we were seated promptly for our 5:30p reservation, but weren't greeted by our server until about 15 minutes later; meanwhile, a table seated after us had already placed their order before we even received water; once acknowledged, service improved, though it would have been nice to receive an apology for the initial delay - The food was exceptional--the pizzas (Shroom, Pesto Chicken, and Kids Plain) arrived hot and fresh, loaded with toppings, and featured light, chewy crusts; the Kids Mac & Cheese was ultra-creamy, cheesy, and comforting; the Lacinato Kale & Roasted Squash salad was light, fresh, and perfectly dressed--though it could have used a bit more butternut squash
Dough is closeby and cozy! We came and sat at the bar to enjoy a few drinks and split some apps. We ended up ordering from the specials menu since it's seasonal and they sounded yummy! We got the Butternut Squash Crostini along with Mussels that are made in a local beer -- you get the option of an IPA or a lager. The bartender was very friendly and helpful as we had questions about the menu.
Limited parking. Nice restaurant. Outside dining. Service was okay. Wings were delicious. Cheese board was not worth the price. We ordered the margarita, pesto, and sausage pizza. Not a fan of the sausage pizza. Pesto pizza was the best out of the three.

Was fully packed on Wednesday eve, make reservations! We waited for 30mins to be seated. Relaxed rustic ambiance loved the atmosphere , we had Big Red Pizza, Pesto Chicken Pizza, roasted wings, focaccia bread. Everything was great, I like the chili oil in Big red. Nice place to hang out with friends and family. Will definitely come again! read more

I ordered a Big Red Pizza with burrata and prosciutto for delivery directly through Dough's website. What arrived did not appear to have burrata on it, but instead looked like a different melted cheese. I called the restaurant and asked if they could replace the pizza. I was told a replacement was only available for pickup, and that I would have to place and pay for a new order if I wanted another pizza delivered. When I asked for a refund, I was told I needed to contact the third-party delivery provider because Dough does not process refunds for online delivery orders. I then contacted Toast, the platform used for the order, and was told they could not issue the refund and that I needed to contact the restaurant. I called Dough again, explained the situation, and offered to send a photo. I made it clear that I was not trying to get free food. I simply wanted the correct order. After being placed on hold, I was told that the melted cheese on the pizza was the burrata and that this was how they prepare it. I am including a photo because I have never seen burrata served this way on a pizza. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was incredibly disappointing. I was passed back and forth, offered no reasonable delivery replacement or refund, and ultimately told that the pizza was correct despite what was delivered. read more

This place is down the street from Sandra's office so we will meet here after work. We love the outdoor seating as it's bright and inviting. The service is always fantastic and everyone is friendly and welcoming. We had the Smokey the pig pizza that was amazing. The smoke flavor and the mushrooms put it over the top. Definitely will be having this pie again. The wings were delicious also and with a cold beer who could ask for more. Date night for a very reasonable price. Enjoy read more

I am always on the hunt for a good brick oven pizza and yummy cocktails. This place is IT. The pizza was absolutely delicious, I wanted to lick the tray. The drink was amazing I wish the glass was filled to the top. We also had the steak sandwich $16 totally worth it! Big chunk of hanger steaks on a thick sourdough bread with a nice tangy cheese sauce, sautéed onions and arugula. Totally worth it!! read more

Went here for a girls' night out and it was the perfect place! The whole restaurant was decorated with a fall theme and it's so cozy. The service was top notch from the start and our waiter was such a great sport handling the amount of orders we had. I got their Pear Sour and it was so good! I'm usually picky about my Pisco Sours (as a Peruvian) and they impressed me! We got a couple salads for the table but the beet one takes the crown! Their pizzas were all great but I definitely recommend the Shroom one! read more
Came here as a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids) for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated by the wall and were started off with some homemade sourdough bread with butter. For apps, we ordered the beer mussels, marinated olives and zucchini crisps. The mussels were good but the beer smell was overpowering. For mains, I ordered the NY strip steak that came with mushrooms and asparagus. I ordered it medium but it was basically raw - the flavor was not great. The gravy that came with the strip was disgusting - ruined the flavor. My husband ordered the smokey pig pizza and my daughter got the vegalicious. The pizza was ok - nothing too crazy - asparagus was missing on the vegalicious. On a side note, there were flies everywhere by us - by the food, landing on the food and all over the wall. read more
Dough revisited. Our first time at the new location. The experience was night and day when compared to our 2 star visit at the old location 7 years ago. The atmosphere of the dining area is outstanding with an upscale rustic farmhouse vibe. Comfortable and spacious. They also have very nice outdoor seating complete with fire pits. We opened with chicken wings which were near perfection. Fire roasted, moist and flavorful. We also tried the Autumn toast points featuring Ricotta. butternut squash, garlic and pumpkin seeds. It was tasty, but I don't think we would order it again. We then ordered a couple salads. First, the arugula salad. It really should be called a spinach salad as it actually contains more spinach than arugula. I love spinach so it was fine bye me. Next was the Autumn featured salad. Shaved brussel sprouts, carrots, red onions, cilantro and mandarin oranges with a light maple dressing. It was light and fresh but more like a slaw than a traditional salad. For pizza we tried the chicken pesto pizza and the featured pizza which was fennel, salami, fresh mozzarella and sautéed onions. Both pies were good but nothing to write home about. The staff and service were on point. Very professional and attentive. In summary, we will definitely dine at Dough again but not necessarily for the pizza. read more

I dined here for the first time on Friday night and sat outside on the patio. We had heard great things about their pizza -- and it definitely lived up to the hype -- but we started with the zucchini crisps, and they were absolutely outrageous. Lightly fried and perfectly crisp, they came with an aioli that had just the right kick. Delicious! My son ordered the plain pizza, which came out perfectly cooked with a crisp crust -- simple and spot on. We also tried the featured pizza, a white pie topped with roasted red and yellow peppers. The combination of the multicolored peppers with the thin, crunchy crust was fantastic. My partner had the eggplant Parmesan pizza, and it was everything you'd hope for -- not too heavy, just the right amount of sauce, and the eggplant was perfectly cooked with great flavor in every bite. Special shoutout to Tara -- she was amazing! She recommended the drink of the day and the pizza of the day, and both were exactly what we were looking for. I'll definitely be recommending this spot to friends and plan to come back often. Fantastic job, fantastic night! read more
This place has been a favorite for years! It never gets old. I love their new outdoor area. Their Fairfield location is much nicer than the Caldwell location. It's a mix of rustic and modern! I've never had better zucchini chips better than here. The sauce is to DIE for! I could eat a whole basket of them to myself. I really enjoyed the creativeness of the burrata with pumpkin seeds. My staple go to pizza has become their margarita pie with pepperoni. The staff are super friendly! They balance great service with letting you enjoy your meal without super frequent interruptions. read more
My husband and I frequently come here. Good drinks and delicious pizza. Last night was no exception. The brown butter old fashioned was spot on delicious. My husband had the pear martini and enjoyed it, we finished off with a bottle of Pinot noir. We over order to have snacks for the weekend. For apps we had Brussel sprouts, meat board and olives (had we known the meat board came with olives we would not have ordered olives separately... but more of their yummy bread. Onto the pizza - 2 pizzas: 1 the dough- roni. With pepperoni, red onions and ricotta with mozzarella. Sooo good. 2 Margherita. The dough roni came out piping hot the Margherita was not so much. I alerted our server, the manager instantly came over with apologies and could not have been nicer. He offered to box up the cold pizza to take home to reheat and fired up another fresh one for us. For dessert we had the chocolate cake. Which was good. I wouldn't order it again. Overall great meal. read more
Friend read about this place which uses good ingredients and we ordered food for pick up for the first time. We did not know this place was that popular. I got there early and saw people kept walking in without reservation and the wait was too long so they just left. I walked around and the place looks hip. The pizza is a little pricey but they were good. My 5 year old kept saying it's so good and almost had 3 slices. They were definitely made from good ingredients and very different from your neighborhood pizzeria. You pay a little more but the food is definitely quality. Will go back and try other things but will be sure to make a reservation. read more

Passed this place a bunch of times. So I was hungry. So I said let's give it a try. Well was amazing. Staff from moment walked in very friendly. Warm welcome. Started off with the Fire Roasted Wings (10) flame-broiled all-natural chicken wings marinated in fresh herbs & spices + lemon & herb dipping sauce Dough-Roni Pie Olli Salumeria pepperoni + tomato sauce + ricotta + fresh mozzarella + red onions Lemon Ricotta Ravioli Hand-made Ravioli + summer squash + fresh mint + pistachios + lemon zest + parmesan cheese Got off track sorry. I went to check out this spot in Fairfield and I definitely recommend this place. I tried the Caramelized Onion pizza and the Dough-Roni and they were both delicious. I even tried to Burrata as an appetizer and I enjoyed it. read more

D'oh! Went here for the first time about a week ago for an early dinner, soon after opening. The pizza is OUTSTANDING. My partner got the mushroom pizza, adding sausage to it, and loved it. Something to know -- the base pizza may make a difference in whether and what kind of sauce you get, so definitely ask about that. If she'd ordered a sausage pizza and added mushrooms, it would've been a red sauce; the mushroom pizza is a white pizza and they added sausage to it. As for me, the closest thing to what I wanted was a margherita, but I asked for just a plain pizza. Even though it's not on the menu, they'll do it for you -- and again, this New Yorker thought the pizza was just delicious. The sauce, the cheese, and the thin crust. We each ate a personal size pizza individually which fills you up -- no room for dessert -- but I didn't feel like I was going to burst. Definitely plan to visit them again next time I'm in the Jerz! In this modern and casual (yet elegant) setting is some of the best tasting and varied types of pizza you can get anywhere. The service was friendly and attentive as well, even as the place continued to get more bustling during our dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Solid wood fired pizza establishment serving up sourdough pizza. We had the Margherita, wings, deviled eggs and gnocchi. Everything was great but maybe a little less sauce on the margherita!! read more

They used to be amazing but it seems quality control has evaded them. $20 pies with half their toppings and no consistency in sizing. Ordered four pies and one fit the pizza box while others filled 3/4. read more
