900 Degrees Wood-Fired Pizza Eatery sells Neopolitan-ish style pizza. Having never tried their pizza, I found their product interesting. It was a bright sunny day when I came by myself. What sets 900 Degrees apart is the fact that their dough is specially fermented for 72 hours in house, as is their mozzarella. It is cooked at 900 degrees in a Forni Stefano Ferrara Neopolitan Brick Oven imported from Italy. My pie took 5 minutes to cook. This artisan pizza features some imported toppings as well. I bought the "Danny Boy" which consisted of Sopprescata, imported ham, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, mozzarella and crushed tomato sauce ($19). They have 20 pies to choose from which range from ($14-$21). All pies are 12" inch in diameter, perfect for two in my opinion. The pie was delicious and had no charring on the bottom. I wasn't gonna post this, but I think it's important. I ordered the cannoli pie for takeout. Got all the way home and the cannoli filling was bad. I did contact them and they did refund me but I needed to put this out there. Hopefully somebody checks theirs before they head home. Came here for a Tuesday night dinner with a close friend who lives in the area. We didn't make a reservation since it was the middle of the week. We opted to sit outside since the weather was gorgeous. It is BYOB but we decided to keep it alcohol-free for tonight anyways. For appetizers, we ordered the 900 (degree) mussels which came in a creamy spicy red sauce with pieces of sausage and sliced garlic. It was spicy but just the right amount. For pizzas, we ordered off of their specials menu (which I forgot to take a pic of!!). We got the fig, goat cheese and prosciutto white pizza and we thought we ordered the shrimp buffalo pizza but they put in wrong order so we got a spicy shrimp pizza instead. It was still delicious so we didn't let them know it was wrong. The menu options here are endless but they are a little pricey for pizza. We paid a total of $82 for the pizzas & appetizers. I was debating between giving a 3 or 4 star because I did enjoy the Shrimp scampi that I ordered. It wasnt too sour and i liked that the garlicky flavor was just right. Although it was enough for 1 person, i expected the portions to be a bit more generous. And because it was somewhat smaller than I hoped, the joy of eating it was short-lived lol i wish i knew the recipe for their sauce though, i really did like it and wish they'd add some more to their serving size lol Anyway, I also expected to have some garlic taste to the clam pizza but i found the sauce sour. On a good note, the clams themselves were delicious! I'm hoping I can come back again and try out other things on the menu because I would like to love this place as it is so close to me and has a very nice looking venue and outdoor seating. read more

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I called in and asked for a LARGE Margherita pizza with sausage and arrive to a personal size pizza. I repeated myself multiple time to make sure too! Not once did they correct me over the phone and tell me it was a personal sized pizza. I called back to tell them how no one clarified what size the pizza would be and I didn't wanna make a scene infront of their guests. Why would you let me order a large pizza over the phone to give me a small. How is this supposed to feed my family? She tells me "that's our large pizza", I laughed because a personal pizza is clearly not a large. And she responds "you can laugh all you want, but it says this on our menu." Worst customer service I've ever seen. It is certainly laughable because if that's your large with I'd certainly like to see your small pizza. They certainly take advantage of the area they're located in, charging $18 for a personal Pie. DISGRACEFUL. I should have left the pie on the counter and walked out but I guess I'm too nice. It looked like someone threw random slices of salami together and dumped an entire container of grated Parmesan cheese on top and threw it in a to go container. I've been here a bunch of times and I've always had a positive experience. The food, service and ambiance is always great. The restaurant itself is cozy and clean. We recently came here for dinner and split a Caesar salad and 900 degrees pizza, which is my favorite pie on the menu. They split the salad for us without us even asking which was a nice gesture. It had the perfect amount of delicious dressing and the croutons were homemade and tasty (although were a bit too large). The 900 degrees pizza was delicious as always- the crust is perfect and the combination of soppressata, ricotta and hot honey is out-of-this world. I suggest asking for an extra side of hot honey for this pie, or a side for any of the others- it adds the perfect amount of zing to any pie. Service was friendly and quick. We were greeted graciously and the service remained friendly throughout the evening. We ordered 3 appetizers which were more than enough for the four of us. Appetizers: Meatballs- very good, tender 900 Mussels- good dish albeit a tad spicy Mozzerella en Carroza- was burnt, I didn't try it Pizza; Bianco- delicious Parma- very good Parma with figs-special that night, tasty Desserts: Bread pudding-rich, excellent 900 Degrees is a good spot in Towaco and BYOB is a plus on the wallet. read more

This restaurant rocks. Great staff. So nice to have a non typical Italian establishment in this area of your traditional pizzerias.

Rather than focus on the quality of the pizza which was good, this review will examine the customer service or lack thereof. We choose this restaurant due to the featuring of gluten free pizza, since one member of our party had a moderate food allergy to Gluten. We clearly explained this to the server TWICE at the time of the order. Upon the arrival of our pizza we again asked if the pizza was gluten free. The server then got a look on his face and said he was not 100% sure. He removed the pizza (and left the other dinners) and went to explain this to the owner (we were carefully watching this encounter). About 15 minutes later he arrived back at the table (the rest of us had finished our meal) and delivered the gluten free pizza. There was never a "sorry" from any staff member, the owner never checked in with us after this life threatening mix up and they still charged us FULL price for the gluten free pizza even though it was served after all the other members of the party had finished dinner. Needless to say it was not a meal we all ate and enjoyed together ! Upon exiting, the owner was approached about this and he was very uncaring and rude. I could go on and on about his attitude but I think you get the point. I think the owner and staff could use some lessons on customer service (though they were so busy it is obvious that they just don't care). Let us all be reminded about the five year failure rate of restaurants and why so many don't succeed. Just take this into consideration when visiting 900. read more

I'm fairly certain the owner is the individual who answered the phone when I inquired as to a Door Dash order that had timed-out when I placed it. He confirmed the order didn't go through, but since I had him on the phone I inquired if I could just place the order with him directly. I was unaware if they had their own driver as well as used Dash for customers further away. Instead of this nasty, condescending prick of a business owner nicely explaining that I need to use the app, he decides to abruptly tell me I need to use the app and gives me his summarized explanation of how Door Dash works, like I'm stupid apparently. Still deciding to give him a chance, regretfully we place a $117 pizza order. Here is where it gets really infuriating: The order comes incorrect and clearly missing a New Yorker pie which was part of the order. I'd like to know who the idiot is, me or this jackass owner who can't even process a Door Dash order which is written in English! read more

Stay far far away from this place. In my opinion, a terrible owner who places little value on his customers, even a family of repeat customers like mine used to be. Ordered two pizzas over the phone. They got one order wrong. I did not realize it until I got home. Informed the restaurant and asked for a credit, not a refund. I understand that people make mistakes, and I intended to continue to patronize this place. So what does the owner do in his version of customer service? He insists that they did not get the order wrong and that I did not know what I ordered. Stiffs me for $17 or $18. All I can say is wow. A customer tells you that the order is wrong, that one pizza went in the garbage, and your response is that the customer is wrong? Would you react the same way if that customer was sitting at one of your tables and he said the wrong food came? Would you make the customer reorder and pay twice? End result: Paid almost $40 for one small pizza that was not even cooked well. Gave the establishment a chance to make up for its error, and learned how much this place values its customers: ZERO! Bottom line is that the owner lost a family of repeat customers over $18. Funny thing is that I did not ask for a refund, only a restaurant credit. That would have been used in an order for three or four pies. read more

So I rarely write reviews but this place definitely is review worthy! We have driven by this place a thousand times and never dropped by based on the reviews. Today was Mother's Day and we wanted to keep it local and thought let's just give it a try....we are glad we did. The waiters there were all very nice and friendly and gave us great direction in picking out food. For appetizers we had meatballs and the 900degree mussels and that was amazing! For our entrees we had homemade lobster ravioli, chicken Milanese and Shrimp Scampi which we shared and it was mouth watering delicious. While the service was good sadly the food was not. The pasta e fagioli soup was nothing but undercooked cannelloni beans in what I can only describe as tomato water. Zero flavor. It had large slices of garlic but unless you want to chew big pieces of garlic it didn't add to the flavor. The cannelloni was just ok. The pasta was a bit too aldente and the sauce was just ok.
