Every bartender here is attentive, professional, and engaged--a refreshing change from the typical bar experience where staff are often distracted by their phones or each other. They notice when new guests arrive and make everyone feel welcome. The thin crust pizza is consistently excellent and never disappoints. However, the kitchen's execution on other dishes can be hit-or-miss. We've had the penne vodka range from outstanding--rich and perfectly seasoned--to disappointing with a bland, watery sauce. The salads are generally reliable and well-prepared. If the kitchen could match the bar staff's consistency, this would easily be a five-star establishment. The outstanding service and great pizza keep us coming back, but we're hoping for more reliability across the full menu. read more

I came here on a Tuesday with a friend for half off pizza and it was a slight disappointment than my previous visits. Their thin crust pizza is a staple here and so delicious but this time we were here, the pizza was really burnt. It wasn't just ours. Most of the pizza we saw for people around the bar were burnt. The salad though, we delicious. We told them we were gonna split the salad and they plated them in two separate plates for us from the start and that was so great. read more

Columbia Inn is a great family restaurant to share a meal with your loved ones. I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant and they have plenty of parking. They serve thin crush pizza and Italian food. I came here last night to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were seated in a long table to accommodate my friend's large group of friends. The service was fantastic and attentive. It was a busy Saturday night dinner time but my large group of friends and I were still well taken care of. We were a large group of friends (18 people). We all ordered different food options. About half of us ordered pizza. I tried the grandma hot honey pizza and it was delicious. I also ordered the fresh mozzarella hot appetizer it was supposed to be like the fried mozzarella sticks but in my opinion it wasn't like a mozzarella stick. They were still yummy but it didn't have the bread crumb bread that I am used to seeing in mozzarella sticks. I ordered myself a cocktail and their small bites of pita chips and bread were fresh. We also bought an ice cream cake to eat together as a group and the restaurant took care of slicing the cake and passing it out to my friends and I. 10/10 Italian restaurant recommendation in Montville, NJ. read more

Two words: Wine Wednesday Really enjoy this local bar - pretty "towny" but I mean that in the best way. I love a towny bar. Half price wine and sangria on Wednesdays and they have specials the other days (I think pizza half off is Tuesdays). They have a banquet room as well to host parties. Disgusting. Stains all over the towels and furniture. Pubic hair in the bathtub. I had to kill a cockroach in the bed. I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 because it got down to 5° that night and it stayed warm. The bed was relatively comfortable in the TV worked. But for the $95 I spent you can find a lot better in Columbia. read more

It was more like a snack and the pizza was suppose to be a large pie but was more medium sized. The pie was 25.00. We were still hungry after we ate it. Came here on a Friday night to meet up with a bunch of ladies. There were 15 of us. Had a great experience. We sat upstairs which was perfect because it was quiet and we were able to talk while enjoying our meals. The pizza was excellent! Very thin crust and crunchy. I loved it! Service was fast! I absolutely love their pizza and food. Saw some items I wanted to try on the special menus, one was the meatballs with ricotta. Well, for $16.95 I received 2 meatballs. 2!!!! Not only that, they weren't hot and the ricotta was ice cold. I also ordered the Bianca pizza which was good, just wish there were bigger dollops of ricotta, could barely taste it. read more

Once again, Barstool's One Bite Pizza Reviews have led me to another local pizza spot. Columbia Inn is a small bar/restaurant off one of Montville's main roads. We were seated quickly and given menus. I was here for pizza. I got a plain cheese pie and the shrimp scampi pie. Both were super thin. I could have easily eaten either pie completely on my own. The cheese pie was saucy, with the cheese well toasted. The shrimp scampi pie reminded me of a white pizza, except with shrimp. Great pizza overall Pizza score: 8.9 read more

Called at 6pm on a Saturday for a last minute reservation and they were able to seat us outside at 6:45 which was very nice. The outdoor covered patio area is so pretty with a lot of beautiful flowers. Service was fast and very friendly and our waiter Bobby was great. We ordered pizza, caesar salad, chicken franchese, and penne vodka and all were great. The pizza (which they're known for) was especially good and came out super hot. Went back to Columbia Inn tonight. Third visit. Place really smells of vapes and e-cigs all throughout! Management really needs to "crack down" on the culprits. Main reason why I will never go back! Nice and friendly staff! Pizza kind of bland and boring, but pretty good. Pizza is nice and thin for those trying to watch their weight. The pizza sauce needs to be "spiced-up". My sister thought the pizza tasted like the boxed Tortino's Pizza Rolls, but I disagreed. Obviously better than that. Appetizers were kind of on the "cheap side", quality wise. This place has been around forever and with good reason! The pizza is wonderful , perfectly thin crust and cooked with just enough sauce and cheese ! We had the beet and goat cheese salad as well which was great . The only problem was we asked to have it spilt up for two people and one bowl arrived and the second came out with the pizza , not the end of the world but a little odd. We also had the mussels , those we would not get again they tasted a little off , not bad just not the flavor we like. They have a decent craft beer selection and the workers were nice. Very disappointing, went with family to celebrate the holidays. 6:30 reservation, 7 adults. We order apps and entrees all was fine food was good. We finished our meals and waited for the table to be cleared and leftovers boxed up. We all were planning on desserts and after dinner drinks or coffees, when the hostess comes over and says to us that we needed to hurry up because she had the table reserved for 8pm!! At that point it was 7:45, we weren't dilly dallying at all and when my wife said that we just had our dinner dishes cleared and the dessert menus were just dropped off she got a little snooty. So when the waitress came I said just bring us the check and we will go. Your hostess is rushing us out. So we paid and left and will never go back. Who only gives 90 minutes for a table of 7? That hostess probably cost them an additional $100 on our check which was still $300. We won't be back. read more
