Such a great find this weekend! This rural café is clean, cozy, and committed to organic ingredients, and it really shows in the quality of their food and drinks. My mocha coffee was excellent, and my breakfast sandwich on homemade English muffin was fresh and delicious. I also bought their focaccia to take home, and it was amazing ...warmed up later. Went to Dough Run this morning. The cappuccino was excellent. Ordered 2 wraps and a muffin which were ok as well. The gentlemen working there could not have been more miserable. Acted like he was doing us a favor helping us. No smile. Not friendly. When I brought my dirty dishes up to the counter and thanked him, he scolded me for not putting them in the right place and asked me to move them. I'll never go back. Stopped by on the weekend to try their Gruffin as I had seen many other reviews talk about it. I tried the lemon lavender gruffin. It was not too sweet and the texture of it was very chewy, not crumbly or cakey. It was very lemon lavender forward , not really any chai flavor in my opinion. One thing I wished could have been better was the service being able to tell us which muffins were which type (as in the regular gruffin, vegan gruffin, gluten free gruffin). We noticed that there were multiple flavors for gruffins so we had gotten the other flavors to share with our friends but we didn't know which type each gruffin was. I wish we knew so we could understand more of how each gruffin texture could be different and any other differences. Though, it is super nice that they have options for everybody, as not every bakery will sell a vegan and a gluten free version. Inside, there are a few seats and some seats outside in the back. Dough Run is our weekend go to. It's just one of those small town places we are honored to have. I'm obsessed with their gruffins aka granola muffins. They go above and beyond to offer gluten free options which are a must for me. My Husband cannot get enough of their biscuit breakfast sandwiches (not gluten free or I would have them too!). It's tough to go here and not spend a fortune on all of the amazing, homemade, and delicious goodies they offer. Not to mention they always make us smile and that's a major plus. If you want great coffee in the county, don't miss Dough Run! High quality bakery! Selling "gruffins" which from experience are muffins filled with fresh moist fruit. This small storefront was confusing to find, and is on the route to the Monkton portion of the NCR trail. Parking in the back. I past their lot and parked in the lot at the far end of the store grouping and was told to move my car. Entry and sales (COVID safe) are in the back with an elevated deck and two tables. People were masked and appropriately distanced. Area wasn't marked and no directions for people to order and eat. I highly recommend their baked goods. Sign outside say CBD sold, and I hope it isn't in the muffins. Nice place to get good food. Not as comfortable to stay and eat. Worth a visit! read more

So i came here around 8 am on a Thursday before work. I'm in the process of trying to find a coffee shop for my thursdays mornings (i go into work 30-an hour late thurs) so i was very excited for this place. i come in it's cute, i order an iced lavender latte, breakfast sandwich & a muffin. i get my muffin first, then coffee, which came hot. oopies, i mean that's okay people make mistakes & it could've even been my mistake. i got up to the counter & nicely say "i am so sorry, i thought i asked for this ICED" & she stares me dead in the face & shakes her head. couldn't even use her words & that to me is just absolutely insulting as a customer. i worked in the food/service industry for YEARS. all she had to do was "oh no! that's okay, let me fix that for you!" instead she literally said it was my fault. wether it was or not that's just not how you treat customers. i won't be coming back. muffin was gross, breakfast sandwich was good & the coffee was eh. read more

I love this place - Have been here a couple times when I'm in the area and it hasn't disappointed. For drinks I usually get the Vanilla Chai or Spicy. Both are good, but I prefer the Spicy. Most spicy chai's taste too much like fireball to me, but this has a good balance. For food I had a bacon, egg & cheese on a biscuit and it was delicious. One of the best breakfast sandwiches in the area. Also ordered a Raspberry pastry w/ Vanilla glaze. Really good as well. This is a great coffee shop. The biscuit and breakfast sandwich is a favorite. The owners are usually present and really try to make the place welcoming. I enjoy their many drinks. Their baked goods are great and they have vegan and gluten free options if you need that. The granola and yogurt is a must. They have a few seats but when the weather is nice we like to sit outside. During the pandemic they had a walk up window that made things safe and comfortable. Sometimes the drinks take a little extra when they are busy but there is only one person making them. I find them to be worth the wait and hope you enjoy a nice local family owned business like we do. read more

(Instead of reality- which is it's a busy weekday-I am moving, I am super busy)... yet something about the setting of this little place with it's bit of bready smells and coffee aroma just unknotted me inside. I was able to unwind in the true sense of "coffee break". I chatted with the woman who took my order. I found myself stopping to sit at a real table, in a real chair (no formica here). This bakery isn't just "good enough" for the Hereford zone: it's an incredible gem that serves one of a kind savory and sweet items throughout the day. I have stopped here on numerous occasions before and after work to indulge in their rich, delicious cheddar rosemary biscuits. Their tuna salad is also not substantial yet light, flavorful (with grapes in the mix) but not overpowering. It makes a perfect lunch. Oh how I wish this place was closer to my home. They have some amazing yummy goods. I have loved everything I have had from them. Also really appreciated the nut free baked goods and homemade granola as my son has a severe nut allergy. Oh and the owner is so kind! He actually offered to stop by a store to pick up anything I needed when I told him I couldn't drive due to being in a cast. These are the type of business owners we need to support!!
