Food was pretty average and a little dry. I got the All Nighter. I was impressed with the amount of chicken I received in my calzone but there was very little pesto and overall dry. I asked for garlic sauce that I did not receive. Employees seem to be in a hangout mood rather than a working mood. They do have a little fun game to play to try and win some prizes. Oh dear, doughby's where do I begin. Your delicious calzones always get me going any time of the night. The Abraham Lincoln is by far the greatest thing since Lebron in 2016. This is one of the hardest yelp reviews I've ever written but to be fair to the loyal customers it must be said. I have been a loyal member of doughbys the last 4 years, and I have only ordered the same thing every time. For 4 years straight I have always ordered the Angry Buffalo. There is nothing better late night than the blue cheese and hot sauce mixed with the crisp crust. But unfortunately it seems like doughbys has lost it's quality. This semester I have ordered the Angry Buffalo 4 times and each time it comes out worse than the last. The only reason I keep ordering is from the loyalty I gave your business the 3 years prior. I am incredibly disappointed that every time I have ordered there has been missing ingredients. Besides the crust it has been almost inedible. On the menu it states, Chicken, blue cheese, hot sauce and mozzarella. I am just glad that when i ordered tonight it had chicken and mozzarella because last week when I ordered it was just chicken. If you are making cuts then explain to the customers that one of the most popular menu items the "Angry Buffalo" is now just chicken and mozzarella because it is nowhere near the price you are charging. It isn't just me because I've spoken to many friends that are loyal to your Wednesday deal and they have spoken of similar grievances. solid food if you're willing to wait the 10 minutes for it. doughby's is consistently inconsistent to the point where they don't know how to make their fan favorite calzone. Very impressed with the customer service here! I mistakenly forgot to ask for the bacon to be removed from my calzone and when I went to pick it up, the graciously offered to make it again. Not as great as the hype over these calzones. Frist time trying Doughbys and the hype over them was huge. Everyone was saying that they were so amazing, and that I needed to try it. Well i did and I have to say that i was pretty dissapointed. I ordered the warrior which containt sausague, mushrooms, and other meats and vegteables. The food came at a resonable time, but they have to change their system of people picking up their food. They take your name then when its done they just call it out and anyone can come up and say that its theirs and walk away with your food. That is exactly what happend to my order. Someone who didnt place an order took my order all because they said they were me. That needs to change. They need to do a better job of checking to make sure that the people are grabbing the right orders. The calzone, was very doughy. I felt like there was no good balance of dough to ingerdients. Plus there was not enough cheese or dipping sauce. They give you a small amount of dipping sauce for a giant calzone. read more

Ordered a calzone. Nothing special about the calzone's order; nothing added, nothing removed. They put bacon in it. Bacon was not listed in the ingredients. It was the same one I ordered, but it had bacon. I mean, come on, you do not put food not listed in the ingredients IN THE FOOD! Like, this makes me think the chef thought "Hahahaha, who doesn't like bacon?" And it wasn't just a sprinkle on the top of the inside. No. It was thoroughly ground into the rest of it. With most places, they get your order wrong because you specialized it. With this place, I don't think they even know what they are doing. Like, imagine if they put an ingredient in (that was not listed) and the person receiving it was severely allergic to it. They are just trying to get sued! read more

Easily the best calzones and crepes I've had in 20 years. Phenomenally good calzone - thin, crisp crust, with tangy, slightly acidic, nicely spiced marinara sauce. Good cheese mix that includes ricotta. Nice ingredients. Crepe was light, fluffy and excellent. A great value, too. Awesome. My highest rating. The calzone is not much like what I am used to back East. It is very bread-y and the thick crust wasn't evenly cooked. Some was still doughy. The staff seemed too wrapped up in their own conversations to be bothered with customers. A long wait for a disappointing meal. read more

I have been here numerous times, and each time they also seem to mess up. Sadly I have to go here because it's it's the only place to get a calzone in Oxford Ohio. my first visit there they messed up and never gave me marinara sauce with my calzone. My next visit, they gave me the completely wrong calzone, after the employee told me it was the one I ordered. My last visit and final visit was the worst. I found so many hairs in my calzone after eating 3 bites. I will never go back their again for their overpriced calzones. read more

Normally I love this place, but when I went there earlier tonight I had some of the worst service I've ever experience. My friend and I called in our order for pick up. When we walked in, no one even greeted us with a simple, "hello." The place was pretty much dead so we just sat down at a table. After about 5 minutes I went up to ask them if I could add some fries to my order, since I figured they were still working on it anyway. The employee asked what my order was and I told him we had called in and what was in the order. He grabbed the order and said it had been ready for a while. I'm not really sure why he didn't ask us before if we were waiting for something, but whatever. I told him I would wait for the fries and he acted like it was a HUGE inconvenience. Anyway, I paid for the order and left. On top of that, the fries were cold and I paid for a cup of bleu cheese that I never got. Needless to say, the staff really needs to work on their customer service skills. read more

Our order came and it was incorrect, I called the restaurant to try to get it corrected and was met with the angriest employee I have ever conversed with as a customer. Best for drunk food. If you're in town on a college visit or visiting your kid here or something, this isn't the place to go. They deliver and have a wide variety on the menu which is nice, but even when they're not busy it's normally a 35-40 minute wait. Their food is great but they have absolutely no consistency in their hours. Currently I just placed an online order (luckily I paid in cash rather credit), went to pick it up and they're closed when their hours are 11am-3am today. It's 3pm! So ridiculous!!!! I understand hours being adjusted during the summer when most students are gone, but this is the first week of the fall semester. I'd call and make sure they're open before you place an order, since there's no other way to actually know if they're open (but that's not a guarantee either because I've called and they won't answer when they're really open). I had a chicken parmesan calzone at Doughby's this past weekend while in Oxford, and I wish I hadn't. While the dough was pretty good, he tomato sauce was thin, mild, and flavorless, and the chicken and parmesan were both subpar. I have lived here for quite awhile and have been ordering doughbys since it was formerly DPdough. I just received my order after waiting for an hour and a half and am furious... yet again. I called the store after an hour had passed figuring its a Tuesday night and it should be delivered faster. My mistake. The girl who answered the phone said they were very busy and she apologized. No more than 5 minutes later the driver shows up and says his vehicle broke down and had to "borrow his buddys car". Ive worked in the restaurant business for awhile and yes, we have said both things but one of these stories was always true. Im really missed off I gave doughbys one more chance and received not even cold, but a chewy cold calzone and have no idea really what their issue is. Doughbys needs shut down. It just disgusts me. The best food I've ever eaten. When you live in a college town, you can't expect everyone to be perfect. Maybe they should up their customer service, but the food is amazing and I've never heard anyone in person say anything bad about Doughby's. Most overrated place in Oxford. I'll never understand why my friends like this place so much. The crust is bland, the toppings are flavorless, and the sauce is overly acidic and not very good. Even though it is quite cheap when you get the calzone of the day, considering how small the portions are its still not that great of a deal. If you really want a calzone, Johnny's makes one that is much better and at least twice the size for only a buck or two more. read more

I would say theres about a 50/50 chance you get your correct order. I've ordered close to 40 times this school year. The past 5 times have been fantastic and they haven't screwed up my order. Until tonight. I ordered 2 angry cows with 2 spicy mayo's on the side. One calzone had 1 spicy mayo and a marinara on the side. The other had a side of marinara spilled all over the calzone. No big deal right? I called probably 5-6 times after with no answer. When that failed I called the delivery driver and he told them he would tell them when he got back. Hour and a half later no response from doughbys. An angry cow is my go to when I get back from the bars but I cannot keep having you guys screw up my order. Please hire a coherent staff that can communicate well with the team. I want to see doughbys back where they were in the past. So sad to see where this amazing restaurant has gone. read more
