My experience here wasn't the greatest. The staff were very friendly, which was a great start to my visit here, but the food wasn't the best. I like ordering just a plain cheese pizza, where I can easily taste the dough, cheese and sauce without other toppings masking those flavors, and my pizza was very greasy. Absolute horrible experience tonight. We ordered Bruno balls and a whole pizza but they never gave us the whole pizza. Never got a receipt to get the whole pizza. Was yelled to get out of the way and never got our pizza. Asked for a refund of our pizza and they wouldn't talk to us. Bruno's pizza was the pizza of my childhood and college days. It's the same now as it was the first time I ate it 45 years ago. Plain cheese with salt, pepper, garlic, and oregano and your set up for a great meal. It's one of the few businesses that has not changed in Oxford that has changed from a great locally owned business community to a corporate chain mess. I love this place. read more

Let me first start by saying I've been eating Bruno's since I can remember. Unfortunately tonight was the last time. We placed an order through DoorDash and when we received our order, it was incorrect. A pizza came with nothing on it. We called the restaurant and I explained what had happened. The worker on the phone was not accommodating, did not apologize, argued with me and when I asked for the manager, she said they were busy and that was not an option. Finally I got the manager on the phone which did not go any better. Here's the kicker: After giving my complaint I asked for the owner name and he said it was him. OH. My. God. Really?!? Popped in for a quick lunch. Service was friendly and fast. We ordered a phillly cheesesteak and the boneless wings. The cheesesteak was excellent! It's not the place you want to go to get a gourmet pie... it's the place you want to hit at 2 AM to get a slice of the tastiest greasiest pizza in town! Get to know this place as a freshmen, and it will change your college experience forever. So, go there, throw some Springsteen on the jukebox, and celebrate the tradition of Brun-doggs! But not only is Bruno's the home of the slice, it's the home of the dough! Bruno's dough is incredible... homemade dough, deep fried, and covered with parmesan. As the locals say, "it's killer!". I mean, you might think that the employee running his hand through a carburetor before forming these perfect dough balls is disgusting, but it adds to the taste. You gotta experience it for yourself! Bruno's is a great little college town pizza joint. It's not fancy, and it's not fancy chef food... but it is awesome. I'll admit, I went to Miami University way back when, so I remember lots of fun nights getting 50 cent slices of Bruno's pizza from the carry out window after drinking too much at the bars. So a lot of nostalgia is attached to my review, but I do love the pizza. It's not fancy, it's just good. Hot, chewy melty cheese, and just enough sauce on top of a crispy crust. Its incredibly cheap by-the-slice prices keep the undergrads rolling in off High Street. Very few places to sit indoors.
