The very next day the second heating system I had in an addition failed. I was distraught!! Net Zero gave me a great quote..several thousands less than other HVAC. What they did not tell me that they were only electric heating contractors. So after paying $12,000.00 for installation I now pay an electric bill of $1000.00 a month in the winter. They walked by a brand new gas system in my home..disengaged a second gas heating 50 feet away and installed a unit that is costing me a thousand dollars a month. Not one of the employees ...installers. or project estimators...addressed what a poor and unkind decision this was. Now I have to redo my heating system...sell my house...unable to retire . Would they do the same to their mothers..grandmothers? This is a sad and sorry company. Yes I know I'm a stupid elderly woman with no recourse from people like this. That was presented to me as the only option -- no alternatives, no phasing, nothing. And it did not include the roughly $6,000 I'd need to close the walls back up and reinstall fixtures, or the ~$400 roofer I'd have to hire and coordinate myself. Their own estimate puts the hole repair on the customer in writing. All in: nearly $37,000. Meanwhile my first-floor tenant was told she couldn't use her bathroom or her kitchen. When I hesitated at the number, I was told that at least if I sold the house I'd "have retail value." That's the line that made me stop and get a second opinion. Thompson Plumbing came out, found the actual leak -- old hubbed cast iron serving the kitchen -- and repiped it. $2,995. My final invoice was $3,420, and that included an unrelated frost-free silcock I added on. My toilet was fine. My kitchen sink was fine. My tenant's kitchen and bathroom were fine. Not one wall was demoed. Same house. Same leak. Ten percent of the price. I'm not going to speculate about why the two assessments were so far apart. I'll just say this: if 128 Plumbing tells you your house needs a $30,000 repipe, get a second quote before you sign anything. I nearly didn't, and it would have cost me thirty-three thousand dollars I did not need to spend.

Hired Paul (owner) to help with some bathroom remodel plumbing and did not have a good experience…read morewhen all was done. I tried to work with him to resolve issues but he was very unprofessional. He left the job incomplete charged me more than initially invoiced, and then got rude with me and threatened me when I asked him to complete the job. Still have the texts as proof. He charged me extra to "rebuild" hot and cold bathroom sink fixture valves (which means replace a $3 part from Home Depot) and it continued to leak after he left. Turned out he never replaced them but he charged me anyway. He left the shower handheld fixture unconnected because he miscalculated the depth needed to account for drywall and tiles in front of the fixture he plumbed before the wall went up, then blamed it on the tiler. He then tried to use an iron pipe to mount the shower handheld fixture (a good plumber would know you don't use iron in showers). He would Google code or how to do things on the job in front of me. He would also take several breaks throughout the day and come back reeking like pot. Then he'd make another trip to Home Depot because he forgot some parts. I had to have another plumber finish the work he was paid to do. I would never hire him again. Leaving this here in case it helps others avoid similar headaches.
