Love me some Doug's. This was my first visit to this location which is MUCH bigger then my normal location on Orchard. Had my usual 2 egg Favorite Omlette, Griddle Biscuit ( which I usually never indulge in and Extra Crispy hashbrowns( they throw them in the deep fryer) and a cup of tea. More food than I can usually eat and all for under 13 bucks. Come on now.. where can you have a sitdown cooked breakfast for that? Food is always good and worth every penny here. If you've never stopped in you will be in for a treat. Always packed so be ready for a wait espically on the weekend. Stopped in here after reading the reviews and being hungry for a good brunch. We were not disappointed! Since it was Halloween, all the servers were dressed in costumes. Our server (Lonnie) was dressed up in German Lederhosen and looked awesome, not to mention he was an outstanding server. I ordered the Huevos Sonora with green chile turkey sausage, and chose Christmas (red and green) chile to top it off. My wife ordered a "Build Your Own" omelet with ham, mushroom and cheese. The 2 egg omelet was plenty and both of our portions were large. The hash browns were excellent with a nice crisp on them. Great industrial vibe, excellent food and service. The service was good. The waitress was really nice, made a few jokes, and attentive to our needs (filling up coffee, grabbing more creamer). That being said, the coffee was a little bitter for my liking and I ordered the hot oats, which was just okay. The homemade English muffin and raspberry jam was very tasty though! Almost didn't come when I read some of the recent reviews, but soooo glad we did. Courtney, our server is adorable. Service was perfect and her sweet smile and joy made breakfast even better. As stated by others, quantities are generous. Hubby and I shared the waffle combo as a sweet combo rather than the pancake. (Waffle is not on the menu) Everything was yummy. Contrary to a few of the single star reviews coffee was hot and ample and quick to be refilled. Friends ahead the Tasty Combo and an omelette and were very happy with it. Hey ya'all! This is another one of those meals that, in my opinion, deserves a solid 4.5. My husband enjoyed his humongous Hillbilly breakfast featuring the hugest( is that really a word??), buttermilk biscuit you've every dared to eat! It was smothered with a good portion of gravy, but we do like our white sausage gravy, so more would've made it an over-the-top winner for us! Underneath the biscuit a layer of deliciously fried "browns" laid, providing a yummy base for this scrumptious breakfast. 3 over-medium farm fresh eggs (these were actually a little too easy for us) & 2 turkey sausage patties with chilies mixed in the meat finished off this breakfast platter. I couldn't pass up a golden crispy waffle for just $4!! Are you joshing me?! Real butter and warm syrup made this waffle eaters day! I also asked for some of their signature homemade jellies, which is something Doug's Diner is known for. I snipped off a piece of my Husbands biscuit and "hallelujah" I almost touched heaven! Wonderful breakfast spot! My husband and I came here because we stayed at the hotel next door and we were delighted! Wow do they have a comprehensive menu! Omelette, huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos... all the good stuff! Also as a side note, they offer the option of only a 3 egg omelette and charge a couple bucks less! I love options! I got the breakfast burrito with Carne asada per our server's recommendation and it was the size of a small baby! My husband got the biscuits and gravy, the biscuit was huge! The food and service was great! My father and I (Celiac Disease) both ordered the Papas. However, the menu is not labeled gluten free and my father and I both ordered meats that are cooked in sauce with gluten and the red and green salsas also have gluten. We only discovered this by good luck. My mother asked if her the chips in her meal were corn or wheat. This alerted our server to ask if anyone had a gluten issue and we said yes. They redid our meal very quickly with gluten free meats and a gluten free salsa. We hadn't informed them of us being gluten free, so that was our mistake. I'm somewhat reluctant to share this restaurant we've found. Great food, great service and very reasonable prices. Doug's Diner in Parker is fairly new to us. We had driven by it multiple times and finally decided to try it. We're very glad we did. Since our initial visit, we've returned numerous times. Everything we've had has been delicious. Today it was French Toast for my wife and a burger for me. The burger was excellent, prepared as requested and at least a half-pound. They obviously hand-make the hamburger patties. They make their own jams each day too which is another treat. Service-wise, the staff is extremely attentive. Today it was Courtney and last week, Tara took good care of us. Crystal has also attended to our needs. The point is, their servers are very good, pleasant and clearly enjoy working there. Unlike so many places that have raised their prices excessively to make up for lost revenue, Doug's prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the quality they provide. Every so often, one discovers a place that's terrific and worth visiting often. Doug's Diner is such a place. read more

Dropped by the Parker location @ ~ 7:00 am Sunday (7/14), waited by the entrance for a few minutes, no staff came out from the kitchen to service the front room. Lots of talking coming from the kitchen area, guess the staff is more interested in chatting between themselves rather than serving the customers. I ended up walking out and going to a different local restaurant for breakfast. I've run into the problem of poor service at this restaurant before with waiting for the staff to pick up my payment after a meal. In the past I found the food is good, but the atmosphere is poor. The place is dead silent, no background music/noise decreases the dining experience. Hope the restaurant improves in the future. read more

We had some errands we wanted to get done early Sunday so we decided to try this place beforehand. We eat at Westmain Taproom a lot & I get my hair done at Wisp so we always pass Doug's & we'd been meaning to try it. From the moment we got there (8:15 AM) until we left the place was buzzing & definitely more so when we left around 9:15 AM. We got a chai latte, hazelnut latte, Sweet combo, & the chilaquiles. The portions here are massive and the food/drinks are fresh & rich. I also enjoyed the casual local diner vibe. Parking is easy and the staff were super nice & attentive. I've finally happy that Rick, who's the owner of Doug's open one in Parker. I use to frequent the original location off Chambers. I've been coming here since it opened at the Lazlo Hotel. Alan, Courtney, Lonny, Tara, and Crystal have been here a while. All three of them I've known the longest, and we've become friends. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well. I come around 7 am twice a week, and I'm always greeted with smiling familiar faces. I always have a great experience with the staff here, very courteous and professional. They make everyone feel comfortable when they come in. Plus, their food is delicious every time I come in. They offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch choices. I come mostly for their breakfast specials. They have breakfast crepes that I highly recommend. It's not on the menu, but they have the ingredients. The Cowboy is my go to according to my pictures. Their breakfast burrito is delicious and a great deal. They offer lunch as well. I've tried a few different plates. The Buffalo Chicken wrap and their burgers are awesome! Try the Bison. If you are a coffee drinker, they offer a travel mug and $1.50 refill when you bring it in. Rick has done a great job with keeping every location with high standards and hard-working employees! This is a good local spot. We were there at 8am on a Saturday and it was definitely starting to fill up. When we left around 9:30 there was a wait for a table. I liked the vibe, and the ambiance fits the theme well. They know who they are and who they are serving. Lots of team Jerseys from surrounding schools up on the walls. Waitstaff all wearing ugly Christmas sweaters. Good times. Let's talk about the food: To be fair there were 8 of us eating breakfast. I was an executive chef for nearly two decades and have run breakfast service for a family run business many times. It's fast paced and can be challenging. There were things that were great and things that I didn't care for. I like their menu options, very Colorado and again fits their theme and customer base very well. Knowing your place in the world is so overlooked in hospitality and makes a huge difference regarding your success. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with carne asada and my wife ordered pancakes with ham and eggs. The quesadilla was good, however there green chilies had big bits of tough skin and I found myself doing minor table side surgery to get them out, the carne was very good. I ordered hash browns, my portion was considerably smaller than everyone else's and were unfortunately cold when I got them. Bummer...I also ordered a side of green salsa and never received it. The flavor profile was good and the food was well seasoned and was made to order. Props there. My wife's eggs were cooked correctly, the ham steak was not over cooked and dry. Good news there, and their pancakes are great and have a nice sweetness to them. The syrup however needs some attention. I won't go so far as to say they water it down because I don't know that to be true, what I will say is that it was very loose and was disappointing in contrast to how good the pancake was. These few minor ( but critical) aspects are why this a 3 star review and not a 4 or potentially a 5. The good news is that these are all easy fixes. Overall I liked this place and would return. The food is good, it's a local spot and I'm glad they are part of our community. It's very possible that the next time we go the few components that were missing could be fixed and our experience could be completely different. If that's the case I will update this review. My husband and I visited Doug's Diner for breakfast. It was our first visit. We were greeted and seated immediately. We both liked the menu selection. It was difficult to choose one. My husband selected the Sweet Combo with pancakes and turkey green chile sausage. He REALLY enjoyed it. I selected the Tasty Omelette (small) with an English muffin and home fries. It was delicious! The omelette was STUFFED with bacon, bell pepper, guacamole, tomatoes and cheese. I can't imagine how big the regular size is. The fries were just the way I like them (a little crispy). Karsyn was our server. She was very nice, attentive and right there when we needed a coffee refill. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion size. We are both looking forward to visiting again to try some other dishes. You will really enjoy your visit, especially if Karsyn is your server. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos. read more

We really enjoyed our breakfast/ lunch. Our biggest complaint is the amount of food. I had the crepes. By themselves, they are very large. Stuff them with chunks of plain cream cheese (maybe something else to rethink) and top it with jelly syrup. Really good, but add two more. Wow! My husband had the Hillbilly. He said it was really good and the biscuit was delicious. However, he could only eat half of it. The biscuit is about 4 inches in diameter and is very dense. Our friend had a burger. From the top, it looks like a standard burger, but it was tall, difficult to hold. All the food was great, though. We will be back, for sure. We will just share. read more

Great burgers and fries plus breakfast offerings! Always fantastic service at any Doug's location. We went to the Parker on a mid morning, Sunday and had a long-ish wait (30 min?). My husbands burger wasn't quite right and my medium eggs were super over easy but the kitchen promptly fixed it and they were PERFECT when they came out. The server was very apologetic and kind. My husband had a burger with jam and loved it plus smothered fries with gravy and cheese that I kept stealing bites of because it was shockingly delicious! And I don't even usually enjoy any kind of smothered fries. Their regular fries are really delicious. I think of them as old fashioned diner fries: a little skin in then and nicely thick and crispy. I got my favorite-- truly hand-breaded and lean, but still pretty tender: country fried steak!! Love their southern style classic gravy. Sure a fancy trendy gravy might be offered at some breakfast establishments but I do prefer the classic down home style and they do that so well here! Hash browns are "hand" hashed- not long frozen pre-cut ones so many places serve. I do think they need a good amount of salt and pepper to be great but that's right on the table. Coffee was fresh and hot and not weak and they are always happy to send you with one to go! 10/10 would recommend Doug's!! read more

I had the "healthy" sandwich which I would definitely order again. Sometimes vegetarian sandwiches are underwhelming but this had good flavor and a generous amount of filling. The wheat berry bread they use for sandwiches is so good! My chai tea hit the spot and was the perfect size. My mom got the spicy reuban which she liked, I tried her fries and thought they were spot on! Overall everything was tasty and I will definitely go back. read more
