Wow! Great local diner. Amazing biscuits and gravy. The sausage is the best I've ever had! And the thick cut bacon has incredible flavor!

I can't even count how many times I've been to Doug's. It's only a few minutes from my house so it's always the go-to choice when we want to grab breakfast or treat our out of town guests to a great breakfast or lunch. The kids are always welcomed there by the staff and they especially love the sweet treat breakfast offerings. My daughter recently had a cinnamon roll as big as her head. We took it home for three meals! I love their omelets and fresh biscuits with the best jam you can imagine. Doug's is usually busy but we never have to wait too long. I frequent breakfast establishments because of some crappy dietary issues, and I can always eat breakfast/diner food. So, we have started going to Doug's and have been four or so times now. Always friendly and food cooked right. They did use a seasoning I can't have once and that caused some stomach upsetness, but they were apologetic and replaced the food with stuff I could eat. We've been here for breakfast twice now and it's a wonderful breakfast diner. Doesn't matter if your having a basic breakfast, an omelette, papas bowl, or a sweet role, it's all really good. They have really good green and red chili and I love their turkey sausage. My husband ordered the sweet roll and it was big enough for 3 or 4 people and delicious! Really good wait staff! read more

You don't see many places like Doug's anymore; good food and plenty of it, good service and fairly quick execution out of the kitchen. I'm still suffering from sticker shock over how expensive everything has gotten over the last couple of years, and here is no exception, but at least they give you plenty of food. What was once a $9 or $10 plate of food is now $13-$14. The generous portion of home-fries is enough for two meals, along with their divine creation, the Griddle Biscuit, eat half now, take the other home for a breakfast sandwich. Speaking of home-fries, I love their take on them, strips of crispy potatoes, I could eat 'em by themselves with some ketchup, THAT good. My go-to here is country-fried steak and eggs, big ol' steak with plenty of gravy. I find some of their omelet offerings to be a little weird, some strange combinations and execution, so that's kinda off the menu for me. Service is crisp and friendly, and the kitchen bangs out the food at a brisk pace, even when the place is packed, which it often is, even on weekdays. Ambience is a little big and boomy, noise level gets fierce when full, but that's to expected in a large, open dining room. Patio is pleasant if you get there before 1100, still shaded. All in all, good place to get your brekky/lunch on. read more

This Diner was recommended to us by a coworker. We were pleasantly surprised. We had Cheryl as our waitress and she was fantastic. Very friendly and since it was our first time visiting took the time to explain the menu to us. Took great care of us, drinks stayed full we didn't have to wait long yo get our food and the portions were great. Great food and great price. Definitely will be back again and recommend to others. Love places like this. The service was top notch. The waitress that served our table was having fun and engaging. She was likely 4 hours into the sunday brunch crowd so she gets extra kudos for that. My family & I came for lunch on a Wednesday and truly enjoyed the burgers! We were able to adjust them to our tastes the price was good too. The musical atmosphere was quiet enough to talk & be heard by friends but loud enough to have music in the background. The decor was quite nice but pretty normal. I don't remember the waitresses name but she was quite nice & came back several times since it was my 1st time there and I had to think about what I wanted. They even let me adjust my order to fit. When I finished my scrumptious burger my hands were quite filthy and I was waiting for the ladies room to open. One of the workers noticed & let me go into the men's restroom & held the door for me, just to let me wash my hands. What a sweetheart! Not great vegetarian options, as they put animal stock in all the chiles. No big deal, so I got pancakes instead, but they tasted like baking powder. A really chemical flat flavor. Gross. This place had really good reviews so we decided to order delivery. The food was barely edible-- my 8 year old could hardly stomach their grilled cheese... it was super dry and the cheese was gross. I ordered the Zia chicken sandwich and found it was flavorless, the avocado was bad, it was sloppily put together, and there were no fresh ingredients. Even the side of ranch was clumpy and thick. The only highlight of the meal (hence the 2 stars) were the cream soda and Arnold Palmer we ordered. Even then, will not order from here again. read more

Great little mom and pop joint. Even when it's busy it's still quiet enough to have a conversation. It also seems like there are a ton of regulars since a lot of the patrons know the staff by name. Makes it feel very welcoming. The food is like you would get at home except the portions are insane. The prices are really reasonable too. I made the mistake of ordering pancakes as a side to my biscuits and gravy. The pancakes are like a foot in diameter. Now I have to try and make it to my car. Doug's has been my go to place since it opened. I've always had a great meal in this family-like restaurant! Unfortunately, last night was the exception. First visit for two in a party of four. I had Buffalo chicken wrap and posole soup but the options were salad, or fries instead. Half portions are available! The menu at 3:20 was breakfast, lunch or dinner, and since there was no tummy room for a $5 ginormous cinnamon roll and they had only two left they just sent them along home with us. Can you believe it? We also had chicken penne, burrito, and fajitas. All were legendary portions. Delicious and fresh. The coffee was good and I saw one customer settled in, working on his laptop. We went here based on the positive reviews. I really can't understand where the positive reviews are coming from. Food was all very bland and really not very good. Most of the sides seam like they are scooped directly out of a can onto your plate. My wife's Omelette was dry on outside, mushy on inside and was entirely flavorless. My fajitas were cooked well however they tasted like they just threw frozen diced chicken and peppers into a hot skillet without adding any type of flavoring or seasoning. Daughter's cheeseburger was over cooked and burnt causing her to not finish it. Portion sizes and service was good. Not planning on returning. read more
