We visited Snooze today and unfortunately didn't have a great experience. We were seated quite a bit after our quoted wait time, which we understood and were okay with. However, once we were seated, it took another 12 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our table or came to serve us. When we ordered our daughter's kids meal, we were told they were out of toast except for biscuits. We asked if we could substitute a pancake instead, which ended up being an additional charge. On top of that, all of our food came out cold. Our server Allison didn't check on us until after we had already finished eating, which made it difficult to address the issues while we were there. I love Snooze though it was better before it became corporate. I moved up north a year ago and this is so close to me. So I come pretty often. The food is terrific the crab cake Benedict has soooooo much crab. The pork belly Benedict is da bomb. But.... The service is almost always lacking. If I eat outside I usually have to pop back in to get water refilled etc. once on a Monday the restaurant was 1/3 full but it was a 15 minute wait because they only had 2 servers. Maybe I just miss Jolene and Tracy at the DTC location? There was a really great server here a few weeks ago but she seems to be gone shortly after training. My wife stopped in on October 20th, right around 9:15-9:40 AM (maybe management can pull the camera footage to see for yourselves). We were seated quickly, order taken without issue, and even with that massive Amazon AWS outage messing with everything that morning, our food hit the table in a reasonable time. No complaints there. The real issue was the coffee refill--and honestly, this isn't the first time we've dealt with lazy, inattentive staff. I finished my cup and looked around: every single server was either glued to their phone or bullshitting in a huddle, ignoring the dining room entirely. After waiting way too long, I finally stood up, walked back to the counter with my empty mug in hand, and politely asked the guy standing right there (who was deep in his phone scroll) for a top-off. What happened next was straight-up unprofessional. He snatched the cup like it offended him, slammed it under the coffee pot, and overfilled it to the brim--spilling everywhere--while yelling at me that he's "NOT your server" or "NOT even serving yet" (I can't remember the exact words, but the attitude was crystal clear). Then he just plops the sloshing mess on the counter and stomps off like a toddler in a tantrum. We paid our bill and left feeling embarrassed and frustrated. Is this a new manager? Staff turnover? Or just the "new normal" at this location? Whatever it is, it's unacceptable for a place that charges brunch prices. Very disappointing attempt at an online order this morning. Ordered 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees to go. The restaurant was busy so I anticipated the order would come out a little later than the pickup time- it was within 5 minutes which was very reasonable- except for the coffee. So I continued to wait thinking it would be just a few more minutes. The coffee station is behind the bar and very visible. After another 15 minutes, it was clear that no one had begun the coffee portion of the order- all the while the food is sitting out on the counter. I asked the hostess, who was friendly and polite, for a refund for the coffee portion. The manager then came up and asked rudely "You the guy who wants a refund?" I stated yes I would like a refund for the unmade coffee so I can leave with the food. In a huff he said he had to go to the back to do it on another system. Took another 10 minutes all the while the food sits on the counter. I asked for a refund for everything as the food had been sitting out so long. The manager obliged but was clear in his attitude he couldn't care less. It's a shame because the food in the restaurant looked pretty decent and everyone else was trying their best. They were doing a bacon-themed special menu which include the bacon and egg pancakes, which I wish they would implement all the time because I LOVE a savory pancake, waffle, or french toast type of dish. The food also came out quickly. I also got the Bacon But Different, and it was deliciously sweet and spicy. I highly recommend it! I also tried the Strawberry Lavender Lemonade, which didn't have much lavender but was still good. This I might not order again since it was also quite pricey. Founded in 2006 by two bothers Jon and Adam Schlegel. Headquartered in Denver. The first-ever location is the Ball park location. Did you even notice how each location has their own vibe? The Union Station one has that fun upbeat one. You will feel it in the air! Then there's the Westminster location that I've been to recently. It's in the Orchard Town Center. I like this vibe. It's just enough. It's relaxed but not sleepy at all. Just alive without the crazy mad rush. I loved the counter seating we managed to snag just as we walked in. This is not saying any of the locations doesn't have a line. They do and will always. I would line up for what we had too! A tall glass of the best Blood Orange Mimosa! It was boozy! I was happy happy at 10:00 am!‍ I wanted something without meat and the Crab and asparagus omelet was perfect! Crunchy asparagus and there's actually crab meat mixed in with my nicely cooked fluffy omelet.they use three cage-free eggs and a salad came with it! I really liked how delicious this dish was! It's like I fell in love with our dear old Snooze. I spied more yummy things to try like the sweet potato pancake. The Blueberry Danish pancake was equally amazing! Moist and no need for syrup. The service was not good. I sat at the bar and the servers were more interested in chatting instead of serving customers. The bar tender server had the attitude that they were doing me a favor by doing their job. I ordered a classic egg Benedict and it was so small and with tax it was close to $17.
