    Breakfast quesadilla
    Eric F.

Took my daughter to breakfast for her birthday. Didn't feel like driving to Fort Collins and remembered this place was in town. It's kind of out of sight out of mind. We were sat immediately and our drink order was taken. My daughter ordered the breakfast quesadilla with chorizo and I got the lil Billy - my usual. We both loved our food and our waitress couldn't have been better. I literally can't think of anything constructive to complain about. Don't be like me and definitely keep this place on your radar.

Great breakfast, it took a minute to get a table for our party of 6. The coffee is good and always topped off. The food was good with just the right amount of spice.

    Fiesta salad with chicken

Doug's has something for just about everyone. Breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, burritos, quesadillas, the list goes on. I had the fiesta salad and a bowl of chili soup. Both were excellent although a cup would be plenty next time. The bowl of soup could be a meal by itself. My coworker got steak and eggs and it looked amazing. Not your average breakfast steak here, a full cut strip perfectly cooked. I'm looking forward to as many lunches as possible here as I work my way through an exciting menu. Friend staff and well paced service. Highly recommend.

Love this place. With Windsor having so few sit down restaurants, I'm really appreciative of this Doug's location!

Our daughter in law arrived, ordered a nice red, and she split a Reuben Sandwich with my wife. Both sandwich and fries were very good. I'd ordered the Penne Ala Vodka with shrimp. The Shrimp were very nicely done as they're frequently overcooked and tough. But the penne and sauce were only meh. Bit of a disappointment as I've definitely had (and personally made) better. We were offered indoor or outdoor seating and we opted for outdoors on this balmy 80-degree evening. Wife N started with a mocktail: Summer Crush. Delicious and we didn't miss the normally included liquors in the spirited version. She ordered a make it yourself burger: just the bun, patty, some ketchup and mayo. Medium. Side of fries. Her way. Burger perfect medium. Fries were crispy, above average. I ordered the Mushroom Avocado burger, also medium. Burger was juicy, flavorful, and the tempura avocados were an interesting twist on the un-fried norm. First couple bites had some crisp but mostly the avocados got soggy halfway through. Not sold on the tempura frying but the sandwich on the whole was great. Got some local draft on the side. Well taken care of, food was great, will return.

It is a fairly noisy place so I feel the upstairs was a little quieter and I was glad not to have been seated in one of several booths near the entrance with so many people standing and waiting on seating. Our server was nice and attentive, and the food came out rather quickly. I had an pleasant DC Oakes IPA and the Bomb Diggity hamburger with sweet potato fries. The burger was very tasty (a fat bomb) and with the fries was a substantial amount of food - I was only able to eat about half of it all. However, that burger had to be the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Curious, I went to the DC Oakes website to find nutritional information about my meal and there is no nutritional information. A third-party website (Marcos.menu) offered the following on the Bomb Diggity: Calories: 1200; Protein: 50g; Carbs: 55g; Fat: 85g. Nothing about sodium. My wife is on a sodium-restricted diet and she knows not to order anything like this burger. But still, nutritional information would be nice to know. When do you plan on putting this information on your menu for your customers? I will return to sample more of their beer and food selections.

Sis and I shared a Mediterranean Panini with chicken and no hummus. They actually brought it on two plates and split the fries. Very beautiful presentation. Unfortunately the fries weren't really warm and were kind of blah. But the sandwich itself was tasty. Two friends each had a margarita pizza, which comes on a cauliflower crust. They should've shared it because both took half home! Again, it was a beautiful presentation. They both said it was very tasty. Sis and I each had some tomato soup and it lacked flavor unfortunately. Instead, I accidentally took her to intermittent fasting with table service. We both ordered bowls. She got the Pineapple Bowl ($21), and I got the Lazy Dog Bowl ($20). When they arrived, we honestly thought maybe the rest of the meal was still coming. Nope. That was the whole production. Each bowl featured what appeared to be half of a chicken breast. Not "about" half. I mean it genuinely looked like one chicken made the ultimate sacrifice so two entrées could exist. Somewhere in the kitchen a chef is holding a ruler saying, "Easy... if anyone gets an extra bite, corporate loses twelve cents." I've had Costco samples with more commitment. The best part was watching my wife try to convince herself she was full because she didn't want to ruin date night. That's when you know you're in trouble. When your spouse starts chewing slower because she's hoping time will create calories. You know how sometimes you get annoyed when the waiter or manager keeps coming by asking how your meal is and if everything is alright? The good news was that Lazy Dog definitely doesn't have this issue: Nobody asked how the food was. Not our server. Not a manager. Not a passing employee. Not even the emotional support dog I assume inspired the restaurant's name. It was almost as if everyone already knew the answer. The only thing that arrived promptly and confidently was the bill. For over $40, I wasn't expecting to leave stuffed, but I was hoping to leave without wondering whether we should split a cheeseburger at the drive-thru on the way home. I've seen airport salads with a stronger sense of abundance. The food wasn't bad. That's almost what makes it worse. It tasted good enough that I wished there had been... more than six bites of it. Lazy Dog, I came hoping to impress my wife. Instead, you gave us a memorable evening, a shared chicken breast, and the strongest argument we've ever had for eating before we go out.

Embassy Suites charges $15 per day for parking. Why this cannot simply be added to the hotel bill is beyond me. After a long day of driving, I could not get the QR code to work at check-in. A staff member suggested the hotel's concrete structure was the cause. Repeated attempts to access the system were frustrating, and the employee admitted they receive frequent complaints about it. I called the number listed under the QR code and got no answer. Frustrated, I even asked to cancel my reservation. A manager eventually stepped in and manually entered my information on a hotel computer. I also dislike having to provide personal information to a third party just to park at a hotel where I am already a paying guest. Reviewing PMC's privacy policy only increased my concerns. If Hilton continues expanding these systems, it will influence where I choose to stay in the future. Aside from the parking issue, the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean and spacious with a 1990s vibe, and the property has a bar, a small gym, and cooked food on-site.
