    Breakfast quesadilla
    Eric F.

Took my daughter to breakfast for her birthday. Didn't feel like driving to Fort Collins and remembered this place was in town. It's kind of out of sight out of mind. We were sat immediately and our drink order was taken. My daughter ordered the breakfast quesadilla with chorizo and I got the lil Billy - my usual. We both loved our food and our waitress couldn't have been better. I literally can't think of anything constructive to complain about. Don't be like me and definitely keep this place on your radar.

Great breakfast, it took a minute to get a table for our party of 6. The coffee is good and always topped off. The food was good with just the right amount of spice.

    Fiesta salad with chicken

Doug's has something for just about everyone. Breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, burritos, quesadillas, the list goes on. I had the fiesta salad and a bowl of chili soup. Both were excellent although a cup would be plenty next time. The bowl of soup could be a meal by itself. My coworker got steak and eggs and it looked amazing. Not your average breakfast steak here, a full cut strip perfectly cooked. I'm looking forward to as many lunches as possible here as I work my way through an exciting menu. Friend staff and well paced service. Highly recommend.

The Taos papas are Mountain of Browns or Homefries, Cheeses, choice of red Chile, green Chile, and/or gravy and two eggs with Chorizo, Turkey Green Chile Sausage, and Fresh Onions. The portions are generous and filling. It's definitely comfort food. I ate maybe 1/4 of my food and took the rest of it home as leftovers. My least favorite part of the meal was the cinnamon roll which tasted stale and dry. Overall an okay experience.

Would definitely order again Cup of bison chili - chunks of bison meat in the chili and was a nice portion. The flavor is good, I'm glad I tried it and would order again. Moody blue salad - this salad was big and packed full of goodies, it was the best salad I've had in a long time. The balsamic dressing was so good, mixed with the candied pecans and blue cheese, so good! I'd come back simply for this salad. Our server was a little spread thin and had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, so we felt a little neglected, but when he was around, service was great. Just had to wait for long periods of time for water/drink refills. Overall, glad we stumbled upon this place and will definitely come back again.

Good to consider is the 3 Egg breakfast with the bacon and fruit, the pancake flight with the Cinnamon Roll pancake as well as the regular pancake flight, The Cure drink, The ABCLT with salad. Plus the omelets are good as well. The only thing we found that wasn't great on the menu were the hash browns on multiple visits so sub them out if you can. They also don't seat parties together always even when tables open up near the first party so be aware of that. Other than that a great place! You can be seated inside or out. We immediately had drink orders taken and recommendations offered. The menu has something for everyone- pancakes, French toast, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, bennys, omelets, and the there is a healthy choice menu as well as gf items; Non alcoholic as well as alcoholic cocktails, juices, and coffees available. I ordered a cappuccino to start with and it had a TON of froth on top- perfection! My daughter had a juice drink called the Cure- it was a bit heavy in the coconut water for her taste but it was delicious and came with a fresh slice of pineapple. We selected The breakfast sandwich and the blue corn huevos rancheros and we split a side cinnamon roll pancake. Let's talk perfection in a pancake-- this topped anything I've ever tasted- the fluffiest, softest, flavorful pancake. Perfect drizzles of cinnamon sugar covered with frosting. So so good. Lemon ricotta pancakes will be the choice next time. Didn't need syrup but it came warm and, heck yeah! Both our dishes came with hash browns which for our preference could have used a bit more crisp and salt( salt easily remedied). The breakfast sandwich had scrumptious, thick sourdough and generous portions of bacon, with pesto aioli and eggs of choice. Every bite was eaten, even the crusts -(adulting)! The huevos rancheros were tasty- perfect base of crunch but the main attraction was the soft and flavorful scrambled eggs and chorizo topped with Avacado crema. Taste buds satisfied as well as our hunger. Although we came in starving we had food to spare. Sam was attentive and friendly and we lingered in a comfortable setting. Ladies- check out the wishing wall in the restrooms- cute customer forward touch! Prices reasonable for all the food- you won't be sorry checking this place out.

Hopped in with Thursday night reservations, and we were seated within a few minutes. The menu is as fantastic looking as we remember. Pretty much, this is one of those places you go when you want to eat a bougie dinner. Oh, and the cocktails! Wife N. started with the Woo Girl a lovely off-fizzy gin-based hibiscus drink. Delightful. I went with an Old Fashioned. They have three different Old Fashioned choices (I've had all, and all are stellar) but tonight I went with the "With a Twist" which adds in some unique pineapple and vanilla notes. Fabulous! The apps arrived. We started with the Fois Gras Terrine--pretty much you can't go wrong with Fois Gras and Chimney park gussied it up with marinated apricots, pistachios, and what turned out to be the most delightful edible flowers (the purple poofy one looked like a garlic flower and had a light garlicy taste which, with the Fois was a bite of heaven---many folks think flowers are just garnish but don't shy away from trying a bite or you'll miss out! The only drawback was we ran out of the (two) toast points a third the way through the terrine. No big deal, we just spread it on their wonderful table bread. Bison tartare. Perfect egg yolk on top and a lovely dijon cream, served with housemade potato chips. Best tartare in recent memory. Next, the lobster bisque which we mentioned we were sharing. It arrived split into two perfect servings, with bisque poured tableside. Chunks of fresh lobster swimming in a delightfully tasty bisque with just a bit of spicy heat to it. I think if there was only one thing I was allowed to eat for the rest of my life, it would be this dish. On to the mains. She had the pan roasted Chilean sea bass. Flawlessly cooked and glistening, on a bed of pea risotto and adorned with pea shoots, most excellent. I had the mushroom-crusted New England scallops. Five #12 scallops, perfectly seared, on a bed of black rice, served with morels, bok choi and a couple black truffle shavings with a beurre blanc. This was a delicious umami bomb. Everything on the plate had a reason for being there and, on the off-chance I managed to get all the elements in a single bite it was a bite of heaven. Stuffed to the gills, we could only take home a dessert. So the flourless chocolate torte made its way into a to-go box and we had it back at the hotel room. Everything you'd expect a delicious wrap-up to be. Second visit in two years, and the quality of service and food was consistent across both visits. We went in, and the hostess was just simply unresponsive and just made us wait by the stand for a while without acknowledging that we were there. For that reason, we saw an open table and went and sat down, and to our surprise, the same hostess actually brought us the menu. After a few minutes, the restaurant owner or possibly the manager walked up to me and, with the most rude and condescending attitude and tone, told us that we couldn't sit there and to leave the establishment. The fact that they saw a 15-month-old with me and didn't help from the beginning and then processed to kick me out like I was an idiot to them blew my mind. I left because if you are a mom and have a hungry toddler, it takes every ounce of you to not fight but to walk away and find another place to feed your child. I did call back shortly to speak with the manager, and he totally denied what happened and said he was simply informing me that the table was "reserved" and we couldn't sit there. Well, if it was reserved, was your hostess that clueless that she actually walked up to us and brought the menus and she couldn't come and say, "Sorry, can I move you somewhere else? We have a reservation for this specific table." Needless to say, I will never return to this place.
