Ambiance is truly lovely. The early Sunday morning vibe was spot on. Food was not bad and prices were fair. They were not busy when we came in and still had to wait a several minutes before we got a glance from the people behind the counter. Nobody was super friendly or welcoming. The dirty dishes on the table next to us sat there for the entire 45 mins we were there which was odd since staff was walking around dropping off food. Regardless, we will be back for another breakfast and keep fingers crossed that the workers vibe can match this pretty little place next time. read more

I placed my first online order at Dove Cafe last weekend. I was excited to try it for the first time because the food looked good and the online reviews were positive. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to expectations. I ordered a salted carmel latte and a le lafayette for my wife, and a morning market bowl for myself. The latte came out well in advance of the estimated pick up time, which would have been ok had the food come out soon thereafter. However, the food didn't come out ~15 minutes after the estimated pick up time. By the time I got home (less than 10 minutes away), my wife's latte was cold. Additionally, when I unpacked the food, I realized that I was given a Keep It Simple instead of a Le Lafayette. I immediately called the restaurant to inform the staff of the mix up, but no one answered the phone. I called a second time and no one answered. I left a voicemail, but no one returned my call. I sent a follow-up email and still haven't received a response nearly a week later. Either they're not paying attention or they don't care. Although the food was decent, the experience was underwhelming. The staff wasn't pleasant to interact with in person either. I'm hesitant to order again if this is the experience I should expect. read more

I visited for the first time today and it was a wonderful experience. The place is clean, welcoming, and friendly. We enjoyed very good coffee, available in both cups and mugs. I'm looking forward to returning and trying their food next time. My only disappointment is that they don't serve blended coffees. I hope they consider adding them to their menu, as it could give them an edge over competitors. Overall, it's a really nice spot. read more

I live in Dove, but I will never go back for three reasons: (1) I saw flies literally on the pastries. GROSS! (2) I ordered a simple basic sandwich and it took over 20 minutes. (3) AND, they gave me a completely different sandwich than what I ordered and paid for - to go order. The only reason I took my sandwich (without knowing they gave me the WRONG sandwich, is because it was prepared behind closed doors versus where the flies were on the pastries.) But, NEVER again! Unclean and incompetent, that's my take away of this place. Do not order the pastries, and really, can anything else there be trusted ? GROSS!!! read more

We went to Dove Cafe this morning and had another yummy breakfast, and the best decaf lattes in town! I accidentally left my drink behind and even though I went right back, the table had already been cleared. When the owner realized what had happened he had another one made, no charge. I truly enjoy Dove Cafe - I think several other reviewers need to take into mind that this place is in soft opening status. They are learning, growing, and attempting to try and fill a space that hasn't been filled before. For those of us that live in this area, Dove Cafe is a perfect little place to grab a coffee in the morning or a good breakfast on a Sunday. All of the staff and friendly and kind, the food has always been good, and it's always a place I now look forward to going. Dove Café is a charming new spot with beautiful decor and a cozy ambiance both indoors and out. The interior is thoughtfully designed, and the patio seating is perfect for a relaxed morning or brunch with friends. I ordered the Imported Smoked Salmon and Keep It Simple. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, but there were a couple of small misses the rye toast was missing from the salmon dish, and the toast that came with Keep It Simple was a little overdone. That said, the coffee was excellent and definitely a highlight of the meal. Since the restaurant is currently in its soft launch phase and still working out some kinks, I'm giving it grace and definitely plan to come back. The potential here is great, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the menu and service evolve. read more

First time. They forgot our order and when it finally came, it was not correct. We were with another couple who wanted to wait for our food to come. It was 10 minutes after their food arrived. Eggs were ordered scrambled dry-came runny. I'm sure they tried to spend the cooking up since they forgot to place the order. I understand they are new but I'd wait until they get their act together. I ordered the avocado toasts, they looked good however the bread was stale and hard and I could not cut it with a knife and hardly piece apart with my hands. Darling place.. feels like I was in Paris again! Breakfast (avocado toast) was delicious and my husbands breakfast croissant great. Large portions. Stopped in couple days after to bring my mom, and it was lunchtime.. food very average for lunch unfortunately. The chicken sandwich on baguette had THREE chicken breasts on it, WAY too much chicken and tough to bite into without falling apart. Bread too heavy for sandwich. My salad with tuna and beans, tomatos, egg was just ok... way too much lettuce, tough to get down dry tuna and not enough dressing. Wouldnt go back for lunch. Visited the Cafe over the weekend to try it out with the fam. Walked in not knowing what to expect in a cafe. Initial reaction was WOW! Gorgeous inside with a very calming atmosphere and wonderful service. Have a wide variety of food and tea options. I am not a tea or coffee person, but I love food. Ordered the Keep it Simple, eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes, simple yet delicious. Little ones ordered the French Toast, when I go back, I will definitely be getting the French Toast. Super Delicious and doesn't even need syrup. All in all, 5 Stars, 2 thumbs up and will be going again. read more
