Came here with my family close to 10pm since it was one of the few places open late. The service was quick and super friendly, which is always appreciated when you're fresh off a hike and just want caffeine ASAP. We both ordered iced Americanos and they were honestly perfectly smooth, strong, and exactly what we needed. However, the service was awesome but the drinks here are pretty expensive for boba also the little snack options were a tad bit pricey for something they put in a microwave or warm up crêpe. My daughter was looking for a boba place after our appointment, so we walked from Hoag Health Center on Entertainment Way, all the way down 2 plazas to arrive at Milk and Honey. Servers: Lance and Farhana at 3-4pm Our experience here was it is a small, cute boutique-like cafe that people come to enjoy their drink, to sit and eat, study or work. It seats about 15-20 people. There are desks that seat 2 and a group table for a big family or a group meeting of 6 people. Inside they have a mini Claw machine and trinkets to buy for your home, such as themed coffee mugs and kitchen accessories. A little small baked goods shop, the items are mostly from Porto's bakery, so you can't question it's good! This place was pretty busy consistently. So it must be good where people keep returning. We tried their Matcha Blueberry, Matcha Strawberry and Pink Panther. This is not a Matcha specialty cafe, therefore if you're looking for Matcha grade and bamboo whisking with ceramic bowl and Ceremonial Matcha, it is not a specialty Matcha Cafe. Thus, what you taste is more of a milky tea drink with a teaspoon of Matcha, not a level 1/2/3 Matcha. However, all other drinks is their specialty. Would we return? Absolutely because the servers were what made it fun to be here, drinks were good enough and it's a cute cafe to sit and relax in. Thanks Milk and Honey! Suggestions? They did a beautiful job with their cafe, it's so cute!! I ordered the Strawberry Matcha with boba and oat milk. This was nothing special, didn't really taste the matcha nor strawberry. It was just slightly sweetened oat milk. I think that I might've gotten the wrong thing here. 2/5 Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here if I'm in the area again. I'd opt for the Costa Mesa location. read more

This shop is located in Aliso Viejo Town Center near Ralphs. It was a cloudy-rainy day and, after having dinner nearby, I came here for dessert. The interior is as cute as could be with several tables. Half were occupied by laptop campers but the other half were empty. I was immediately welcomed and my order was taken by a charming young woman at the register. I decided on a "campfire latte" and also chose a couple of macarons (red velvet and salted caramel). She caught me staring into the pastry case and recommended a guava pastry which I was forced to purchase. At least that's the story I told my wife. I took a seat at one of the foofily decorated tables and soon my latte and macarons were ready to pick up at the counter. A few minutes later my guava pastry was brought to my table. The latte was superb. The top of the latte had pieces of toffee (some melting) which made it taste like toasted marshmallows (hence "campfire"). It was a sweeter latte so best if you are in the mood for a sweet-tooth espresso drink. The macarons were cold so I let them sit for a while to allow them to get closer to room temperature, which never fully happened. The salted caramel had great flavor while the flavor of the red velvet was muted. The cookie shell on the red velvet was crumbly while the other's was perfect. The guava pastry was good, not sweet at all, and honestly could have used a bit more filling. I read other reviews that say they come from Porto's which I wasn't aware of when I chose it...er...was forced against my will to choose it. A delightfully relaxing place for coffee, tea, and dessert. read more

The service was not bad, was greeted as I walked in and they were fast with our drinks and order, unfortunately the quality was very disappointing, I ordered a Dubai chocolate latte, which by the name of the drink you would expect it to be a complete and sweet drink, it tasted like espresso with milk, no chocolate at all, then I got 2 desserts, a croissant and a brownie, the brownie was horrible, very hard and it tasted like it was 5 days old, and the croissant was not as bad but also tasted old. Since I was in a hurry, I thanked the staff and grabbed my drink and was out the door. When I got to the rink I looked at my drink before taking a sip and noticed that it had a great value tea bag. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem with Walmart brands but I just feel like $6.50 is a lot for some hot water and a tea bag. The experience it kinda just left a bad taste in my mouth. Stopped by on the way home from a friend's wedding, Milk&Honey was such a cute find! Staff were friendly and helpful! Both of the bobaristas greeted us right away; the first employee welcomed us and asked if we were ready, and when we said we needed a minute, the second employee assisted us the moment we approached the register. Our Thai tea and strawberry matcha were out within five minutes. They were so rich and creamy! And also gave us the caffeine boost we needed for the drive home haha The decor and interior aesthetic was very appealing. The cafe was quiet, cozy, and tidy. It looked like they have some mugs for sale on the side wall, but I couldn't be sure (some of them have price tag stickers, while others don't). For students, it seems to be a popular study area. All of the seats were taken, and everyone had their laptop and lesson materials out. There was no restroom in sight, but maybe it was in the back? I couldn't see if they had outlets though... The Thai tea tasted like water and wasn't sweet at all. I asked the worker to remake it and possibly make it sweeter, so she made it again. The second Thai tea tasted even worse and had super hard leaves at the top (they look like stems). Two of my friends had also gotten the Thai tea and said it was equally as disgusting. I ordered a single shot of espresso and a hot Spanish latte. Unfortunately the espresso has a burnt taste and also was too bitter and sour to be considered bearable. After finishing my shot, I tried the Spanish latte. I had low expectations for the drink, but to my surprise, the latte tasted worse than expected. I was unable to taste any semblance of coffee flavor due to being buried by the bitter tasting chocolate powder. While the sweetness level was adequate for a Spanish latte, the amount of chocolate powder was overbearing and took over as the main flavor profile as a result. I did not consider the drink creamy or smooth either due to small bits of clumped chocolate powder. To end on a positive note, I did enjoy the bright and cozy interior and was able to comfortably work on my laptop for several hours before leaving. However, there is no restroom inside and was told by the staff member the closest one is in the nearby Ralphs. read more

Cute little coffee/boba shop in Aliso. However, the experience itself was a let down due to inadequate staffing & training. It was 11:00 AM and there was only one barista/server/staff member working. She had a long line of customers already waiting for their food and drink orders before we had arrived. We could tell that they have also been waiting for quite a while. Understandably, that itself is a stressful situation for the one worker. BUT, there was a certain lack of urgency and time management issue. Do not take on more than you can chew... if you are already backed up on orders, do NOT pick up the phone and take MORE ORDERS. PUT THEM ON HOLD! We got a salted caramel latte & some Portos guava cream cheese strudels. The strudels felt like they were reheated a little too long and tasted stale because they were put in there when we had placed our order and given to us when everything was ready -- so in total about 20-25 minutes. I am not by all means a coffee snob, but I do like to observe how long baristas let my espresso sit before they mix it in with the milk. Like I had mentioned previously, there are time management issues as she made the espresso... and let it sit for a while before mixing because she was having a conversation with a customer as they were also having issues with their order. I loved the cozy ambience, my banana crepe was delicious, and my decaf oat milk hazelnut latte was good as well! I've been here 3 times. The first time was great. The avocado toast was fresh and the Spanish latte was tasty. The second time was meh. The avo toast tasted terrible. I think it was because I got the bottom of the avo spread batch because the lady after me tried to order avo toast and they told her they just ran out of spread. It had no flavor and definitely was not fresh. Today was terrible all around. I decided to try the caprese toast and can't even explain how bad it was. Basic wheat bread with hard boiled egg? Hard boiled egg and caprese?? That texture is so terrible. And caprese usually has basil but this had spinach. The flavors did not mesh at all. I took it home to try and fix it but just threw it out.
