Great mom and pop type place to get a great old school meal. The staff was quick, friendly, and amazing. The restaurant itself is huge so I'm gonna safely assume waiting to be seated should not be an issue. The food was amazing and the portions were insane. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and the waitress was on point offering extras and giving recommendations. All in all, it was a great meal at a great price. I would definitely return.

Stopped in for brunch with my son's family. I got the Signature breakfast which was 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, grilled toast, and hash browns. The grilled toast was great. It had lots of butter on it and was so good my very picky granddaughter ate most of mine. The eggs were good especially after I added some salt. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Loved them. The sausage patties were also good. This was actually a good value for the amount of food I got.

3-meat & Cheese omelet, hash browns, Dove's Dove's Huge Biscuit and pancake for sharing. Delicious!

Was happy to see a new(er) option in Roanoke that offers steak, and more specifically prime rib! I wasn't hungry enough for the prime rib when we stopped in, so I opted for the prime rib sandwich with fries. My wife had a tenderloin with veggies and potatoes. My prime rib was pretty good, perhaps more cheese would make it better, but overall the meat had good flavor and the roll was not soggy. My wife said the tenderloin was good and cooked to order (medium rare). Size was appropriate too. The sides were good too. Service was attentive and professional. They have large screen TVs throughout the location and a pretty large bar as well. Overall, I think this is the perfect balance between upscale dining and sport bar, especially on this strip of restaurants. I'd like to come back to try the prime rib sometime soon!

The music selection and volume were equally well done, balanced in a way that felt welcoming to every generation. At one point, I almost felt like I had stepped into the bar scene from *The Shining*, not in a creepy sense, but in that nostalgic, timeless atmosphere kind of way. The Old Fashioned was prepared exactly right, especially with my request for lighter bitters since I do not enjoy it overly sweet. Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The artwork throughout the space also adds a unique character that I always appreciate in a restaurant. The prosciutto was a little tough but still had good flavor, while the Calabrese was spot on. Service was professional and attentive, with frequent check-ins throughout the evening. My only recommendation would be for servers to introduce themselves, as that small touch makes the experience feel more personal and welcoming rather than simply transactional.

Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! Then head inside to collect your sides, of which there are many. Then complete your purchase with the cashier at the end of the line. Tonight I tried a little of everything: the brisket - full of smoky flavor and super tender, yet it tended to crumble rather than being able to slice it; the pulled pork - juicy and tender; the jalapeño cheddar sausage - full of flavor and zip, IMO the star of the show; the turkey - dust-dry and flavorless. This one was a disappointment, however, when he was assembly my order I noticed that the Carver did locate a butt end in which he sliced the rest of the meat from. I'm sure the fresh off the smoker, huge breast that just got put down on the warmer would've been just fine in juicy flavor. They should have found some other use for that dry butt end of turkey instead of serving it to me because I took only one bite and threw the rest away. For sides, I had the jalapeño sweet corn casserole (outstanding!). Coleslaw (fresh) and complimentary pinto beans. These beans were excellent and they are cooked with what I'm assuming are the leftover scraps of meat; what a flavorful side item and they are free! I love their regular sauce, didn't care for the flavor their spicy sauce. Sauces are available on a warmer which further adds to the flavor. I did get a piece of whiskey pie to -go. Their pie slices are small, which was fortunate, in this case, because I didn't find it to be very good. Overall, fantastic food, young servers and staff were respectful and helpful. Nice air-conditioned, indoor dining as well as outdoor dining tables.

When we arrived, we were told our only immediate option was to sit outside in 99-degree heat. Otherwise, we would have to wait another 20-25 minutes for an indoor table. That completely defeated the purpose of making a reservation. It was embarrassing because I had planned this celebration, expecting the reservation to ensure the seating I requested. If indoor seating wasn't actually available, that should have been communicated before we arrived so we could have made other plans. To make matters worse, the dark-haired hostess was dismissive and offered very little help. The blonde hostess at least seemed to understand our frustration and showed some empathy, which I appreciated. A reservation should mean something or if standard does not mean indoor, there should be an explanation. The hostess stated they can't see what you select as far as seating which doesn't seem to make sense. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed before our celebration even began. I like the booths by the windows, allowed us to see outside during our meal. The breakfast menu has LOTS of options, so it may take you a minute to find what you want. I picked the 4x2 which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 pancakes. I asked if I could opt for a waffle instead and the waitress said I could but there would be a unchanged for it...she thought $2-3...no problem. As she delivered our food, she advised the charge is actually $5. I'm expecting a good waffle for the price increase....and I was completely disappointed when she brings out what looks like a thin, non-belgium waffle (even though the menu said it was a belgium waffle...) you'd get from another place that serves waffles and has waffle in its name and gets a bad rep for attracting some wild characters. Not knocking that other place, I like their food and you know what you are getting. I digress...but my mention of that "other place" can be tied back to this place in that the food quality is about the same, except here my meal (2 plates) cost $40 and would have been about $20 at the other place. For what its worth, my eggs were cold and the bacon was waaaaay overdone. Not crispy, rather it was burned by grease and old bacon scraps. With the number of breakfast places in the Keller/Alliance area (including that other place..lol), I think I'll pass on this spot. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.
