Took me a minute to find it (I think the GPS had me turn too early) but I enjoyed my time in this little, cozy spot. The cashier was friendly and helpful; the food was great! I'm not sure why I was charged $0 for my margarita but it was refreshing. One of my favorite parts was watching a young man named Eli who works here go through the dining room talking with customers. Yet another find in little Argyle, Texas. Amazingly friendly staff, cute-as-a-button interior, and superior food. The Greek lemon chicken soup is the best one I've had. The ahi sandwich was good but a bit dry, but I just removed the top bun and it balanced out. Great coffee, but the iced green tea drink was a huge hit. Will be back to try more options. We stopped by yesterday afternoon for some dessert. I chose the cherry pie (which they serve with a small ramekin of vanilla ice cream and fresh berries) and my wife chose chocolate ice cream (served with a cone and berries). Both were really good. One thing to be aware of...even though they are "out in the country" the desserts have big-city prices...$10 for a modest-sized slice of pie; $7 for a scoop of ice cream. My daughter brought us here for her birthday. It was a good 45 minute drive from our home, but SO worth it! It is open seating and you order at the counter. The food selection was broad, but not too busy. I ordered the Oxbow Sourdough Burger. The meat patty was thick, seasoned well, and made to perfection. It had mushrooms, cheese, and bacon. The bacon was thick and crisp. Yum! The French fries were to die for! They have truffle, sweet potato, and garlic. I ordered a mix of sweet potato and garlic. I highly recommend both. The truffles were on top of the fries, if that is how you like them, but the sweet and garlic fries were a HIT! They had a myriad of drinks and sweets and the ambience is so country chic and the restrooms were beautifully decorated AND spotless! Now the best part. The staff was SUPER friendly! You could tell they wanted to be there. We were there for the last hour and they were all so warm and welcoming! One girl even volunteered to take a family pic of us as we were headed out. First of all, this place is gorgeous...like, it could easily be tucked away in Napa Valley, California. In a Texas sea of chain restaurants, it's a real treat to stumble on something with actual (non-corporate) charm. Even the napkins were gorgeous! We also grabbed a side of onion rings, they were massive, golden, and almost too crunchy... if that's even a valid criticism? One of my favorite parts? The choose-your-own-adventure condiment game. We visited for the first time on 2/14 for lunch. I ordered the chicken taco salad and my husband ordered a burger. Since it is counter service and they only bring the food to the table, we tipped 15%. While mixing my salad, I flipped over several pieces of chicken that were completely raw. They offered to remake it, but once you see raw chicken, your appetite is gone. I requested a refund instead. What was most disappointing was the lack of effort to make the situation right. They refunded only the salad, did not adjust the rest of the bill, and kept the full tip. Serving raw chicken is a serious food safety issue, yet there was no meaningful attempt at customer service recovery. I have included photos of the receipts. Every once and awhile you find a place that not only has amazing food that you can tell is made fresh, but has owners who genuinely love what they do and the people they serve. I have not eaten here one single time without being checked on by the owners who also strike up conversations with my toddlers. I also have not come one time by myself with two toddlers where the owner has not come out, interacted with my kids, and treated me to a coffee or an extra sweet treat to take for my kids. If you don't have business out in Argyle, you'll probably never try this spot but Little Joe's Farmstead was a surprisingly good bite to eat. Starting with our arrival, there was a good amount of parking options as well as the ability to dine inside or outside (both dog friendly). The setting very modern and cute while still maintaining that homey feeling of a small town. You order what you want and then pay upfront at the register so be prepared for that. After ordering you're given a placard and told to sit wherever. The inside was packed but to be fair, in a town of a few thousand there probably aren't very many options. The service was warm but lacked a bit of that personal touch as there's no dedicated waiter, although that's understandable with the crowding. The food came out at an average pace and was pretty good looking. We ordered the Little Joe's American Burger and the Texas Avocado burger, one with regular fries and the other with the garlic fries. Both burgers were solid from flavor to texture. The regular fries left a bit to be desired but the garlic fries had a punch of flavor that was perfect. Again, if you don't have a reason to be in Argyle, it's hard to recommend driving up for it but if you find yourself driving through or around the area then you gotta give this place a try. read more

The decor would be great for a nice family breakfast or intimate low key bridal shower. This is an order at the front and they bring you the food when it's ready type of place but the food is a little more upscale like your standard breakfast sit down place. First the good. The place itself is really cool. Reminds me of Magnolia in Waco. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. The food is good. We enjoyed it. BUT. The reason for 3 stars? The portions are small and the prices are high. It was kind of crazy. I got an avocado toast and it was one piece of bread with a thin layer of avocado, a few greens, 2 eggs on top with two very small slices of cherry tomatoes on the side and it was $17. Crazy We got 2 pieces of pie with ice cream to go and a cinnamon roll. It was$26 and the pie was a tiny slice with a tiny side. (dressing size) of ice cream. It was probably 1 bite maybe 2 of ice cream. It's a shame because I really like the place but $70 for what we got was insane. Not worth it for what you get. They need to increase the tiny portion size or lower the prices read more

We've been searching for a new brunch spot close to Lantana since Prime Farm to Table closed. Little Joe's is beautiful! The outdoor space is fresh and flower filled, the i terror is open and beautifully designed and decorated. The food was delicious; we had chilaquiles and avocado toast. We each had a mimosa and finished it off with a yummy latte. Our only complaint was the lack of bar/table service. It was impossible to get a second mimosa because the line to order was so long. The owner (I assume) came by to check on us and did get us a complimentary one each. When we left we wanted a latte, but again, the line was 20+ people long and there was no separate bar/coffee bar to order drinks/coffee. Again, the owner saw our conundrum and took our order. We still had to wait 10-15 minutes for our lattes. Overall, we enjoyed our visit but believe there needs to be a separate bar cashier for drink orders or table/cocktail/drink service after seating to accommodate. read more
