Update: I spoke to the mgr on the phone and she gave me tips on how to treat the infection and that next time she would do a service free of charge for my troubles. Original review: If it wasn't for the customer service I received that day, I would have zero starts if I could. The lady who did my pedicure, Helen, was too rough on my cuticles. I now have an infection on my left big toe nail. Also my right pinky toe looks like a blob of polish. I won't be coming back. Pics were taken 4 days after service. read more

Only two employees in the Downey nail spa today and it was empty. It was really like a gift from God. Both Sisters were so sweet. I checked in on yelp immediately and realize that I was able to get a free waxing . That's perfect one less thing I have to do. The TV had the most funniest videos Of people getting Punk'd and very elaborate pranks. I sat there, laughing my butt off until my mom got there. It's like the whole nail shop is open for us. It was so nice not getting rushed through. They both spent quality time doing our nails. My mom even took a nap in there. Both nail attendance looked at me and signed with their hands for me to be silent ,so that my mom can sleep. My mom had just finished telling them that she was up last night. Getting everything ready for the wedding. Oh yeah, we're having a wedding tomorrow at the courthouse and Sunday in Long Beach. It was a beautiful afternoon . Right when we're done people started piling in perfect timing. I'm definitely going back to this place. I appreciate watching her bring everything out of of the sterilize box. If I could give 10 stars I would! Walked in last minute with my daughter close to closing and every employees was AMAZING! My daughter is 3 and they treated her like a queen. I also want to throw in that I had came here right after I just spent $75 with another nail technician who said she only did dry pedicures (I never heard of that in my life) downey nails made up for my horrible experience I kinda forgot about the money I had just wasted. Also like I said they treated my daughter amazing did her hands and lil toes with no issues when she moved they just fixed the mistake and kept her so busy they put her to sleep ‍ I will be back! I love Sun she does my nails and pedicure. She always so helpful and tries to accommodate my appointments to my busy schedule. She is so caring and sweet. The prices are awesome and the job is exceptional. Been going to do my nails with Sun for about 3 years now. Thank you to Cam for doing the first facial on my 14 year old son. He hates being touched in the face and he allowed her to deep clean his face. She took her time and really did a deep cleaning on that boy. I can tell u those blackheads were screaming to be taken out. She even bought a special machine to use on him because he had a few stubborn blackheads. The other ladies have a better attitude but they do a shitty ass job. Someone call the health department on them because they use their tools without sterilizing them.
