Made an appointment online. Received a confirmation email. Got there on time. Front door was locked and the "closed" sign was up even though it was during regular business hours (2 pm). Knocked on the door until sometime finally came and then they tried to tell me that my confirmation email was from the wrong website, even though it had the right business name and street address and the correct domain name in the "reply-to" email address. What? When they saw I wasn't buying it, they started telling a story about their Internet connection being down. Huh? If that was true they could still use their mobile phones directly or as a hotspot. I don't know what was going on, but not honoring confirmed appointments and making up crazy stories is lame. Amazing! My experience at Download Wellness has exceeded my expectations of what it's like to get a massage. The center is cozy and super clean. I've been working with Memi and she has truly gone above and beyond to help me through a time when I felt lost in my recovery. She took the time to educate my partner and I on what my body was experiencing after surgery. She even taught my partner how to massage me at home so my body could heal faster. After 2 weeks of lymphatic massages and home care, I feel great! I've seen Patrice for cupping-massages, which have been spaced out about every two to three weeks. If you haven't tried the cupping machine, you gotta do it. You can choose from a menu of different modalities, and I can't name all of them offhand, but I know they also offer some type of sacral-cranial therapy that I also wanted to try. Besides the clear commitment to COVID-19 guidelines- which just to be clear are temperature checks, sanitizing hands upon entry, mask wearing at all times, and clean sheets on massage table, the space is always spotless clean! This could be anywhere from a quick 1 minute "everything is good today" to what feels like a 10/15 minute consultation on pain management, inflammation reduction, stretching regimes, and even sometimes diet. I always get a Swedish style full body massage. Her pressure is perfectly firm but not overbearing. She will spend time on areas either you explicitly ask for or she feels your body needs.
