Belly Left Coast is definitely a place to visit. The atmosphere was amazing. The chill vibe of reggae being played (also one of my favorite genres of music). The waitress was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu and cleared up any questions we had. The food is so delicious. We ordered Parmesan cheese and ancho French fries, queso fundido, and chicken bacon pesto pizza. The fries were so crisp and quite seasoned. Will say they are a go to option whenever I come back. It's nice to find places that serve crispy fries like that. Crispy on the outside, nice and soft inside. It was quite a treat. Queso fundido was a great option because we had a hankering for nachos and this definitely filled the cravings. If you're someone that maybe doesn't do onions, just make sure to ask for no onions. Luckily I'm able to do onions, but you never know if someone has a preference. The cheese and chorizo combo was amazing, and the best part it wasn't greasy or fatty from the cheese. It just looked so clean. The star of the show had to be the chicken bacon pesto pizza. I love a good pizza but my favorite are the out of the ordinary toppings and sauces. They had other amazing options but it's not everyday I can try a chicken bacon pesto pizza. This was a homerun and a half. I definitely recommend this pizza to anyone who wants to try an out of the ordinary combo. The pizza was cooked to perfection and it was fluffy. Unsure how good the food could have been as it took an incredible amount of time to be served. My Reuben sandwich was pretty soggy by the time it arrived at our table. Yes, they were a bit busy but a party of 2 the same as my party size were actually leaving having been served and checked out though they had arrived after my party. It's a blend of trendy taproom, old school dive bar, fusion food hall and downtown hang out spot! We visited Santa Rosa for the day and decided to sample the local spots so although we didn't have a full meal, we did sit at the bar and have a couple cocktails and a snack. The bartender was efficient and cocktails were fine, he just wasn't really friendly to outsiders, tended to stay hooked in with the locals. We opted for the pork belly because when it's on the menu, who doesn't!! First of all, huge portion for an appetizer, we loved that! Issue was, since they're "burnt ends" there were too many small pieces that were way overcooked, making it more like pork belly jerky. Not a bad thing, just not what quite right! Walking in downtown Santa Rosa always makes me want to sit outside and enjoy people watching on a sunny day. We went to Belly Left Coast and loved the outdoor seating patio. Our waitress informed us that the kitchen was a little behind but we were in no hurry. The Bavarian pretzel bites came out without much delay, warm and soft on the inside with a generous amount of salt on the crust. The cod fish and chips were excellent. The fish was flaky on the inside and the fries were crispy with amazing seasoning. The truffle mac and cheese had plenty of flavor from the truffle oil but other than that, it was missing some salt to give it some more flavor. It was a nice lunch that I would try again. read more

Love it here come here all the time all I recommend is that DO NOT GET A MALE WAITER! does not care, over a span of 1.5hrs we got the bottomless mimosas and we only had 3. Every single time we come a woman has serviced us and they do great service and make sure we're good at least every 10 minutes. Came from the service industry so I take this very seriously. At some point in time we asked our server at 1:54pm and didn't see him until 2:22. He kept servicing the table BEHIND us checking them every 10 minutes or so. NEVER checked on us. Didn't even bother to refill our water. Quick to bring the tab when asked tho. We came here before a movie to fill up and kill time as we opted in for a late showing. What a mistake. I feel maybe I am to blame to think this place would serve good food, but I think they are probably better known for their bar scene. We ordered the caramelized onion bacon cheeseburger, the wings, and the smoke brisket tacos. We started off with the wings. We were disgusted with how dry they were. Even dipping them couldn't save the mouthfeel of the dryness. To top things off with the wings, I picked one up from the untouched wing plate and I was shocked to see that half of the wing was missing. I first accused my boyfriend of biting into it, but after telling me he didn't do it, I thought maybe someone else ate it. We shrugged it off and started to try to finish the rest off when all of a sudden my boyfriend picks up another one and shows me the exact same issue with another wing. We found out half our wings were like this. We ended up telling our waitress about the issue, and she told us that it was possible that the chicken coming out of the oven got stuck to the baking medium they used. We however were kind of annoyed that the kitchen tried hiding them from us and didn't even give us the parts of the chicken that were missing to at least give us all of the chicken we ordered. Cheeseburger was ok.. was pretty lackluster and not much flavor to it other than old-tasting bacon and cold disgusting fries. I think the best thing that we ordered were the tacos but even that won't bring us back here for a meal. Six of use went here last night and while most of the food was good, a few fails. Drinks were good and the beer was fresh though. The steak and fondue appetizer was a favorite and the burnt pork belly end skewers were very good as were the blistered Shishitos which complimented the other two appetizers. Excellent mains included the Salmon, tacos, flatbread and chicken sandwich. Sadly the cheesesteak sandwich was "one note" lacking enough onions and peppers to lift the dish; I would avoid this. The "fries" seemed over processed and didn't taste like potatoes so, sadly, something to avoid as was the side salad ordered with the cheesesteak as the vinaigrette tasted "off" and ruined the very nice looking salad. At home I use olive oil and balsamic so disappointed that two "simple" sides, salad and fries, missed the mark. Definitely order the Rosemary NY Steak Bites with Smoked Gouda Fondue but be aware that it, and the burnt ends, are more than enough foe six. read more

While waiting for my fellow diners to arrive I ordered an ice tea. It arrived in a tall glass, large lemon wedge and lots of ice, promising, sadly it tasted like the bottom of a sewer drain. A couple friends and I joined here for the superbowl last weekend and it was a pretty good spot to hang out, overall. They had their all day Sunday happy hour going so we started off with some fried devilled eggs, wings, and cheese curds. Everything was pretty good! The cheese curd sauce was super lemony.. would've rather had a marinara, but it was nice to try something new. Once the game got further along we were getting hungry again and attempted to order the nachos on the menu. Unfortunately, they stopped serving the nachos, but it was still listed on the menu. Instead, we ordered the steak bites with fondue, buffalo cauliflower, and fish and chips. Everything was pretty good except the steak bites and fondue didn't live up to their expectations. The steak bites didn't have much flavor, nor did the fondue.. and it was kind of watery. That was a disappointment, but overall, service, even being busy on superbowl Sunday was good and all of the food mostly satisfied our cravings. We even got a burger patty for my dog and he loved it! The atmosphere was perfect for a chill afternoon/evening where you want to grab some bites and hang out or watch a sporting event. They had TVs all around the whole bar and the outside area was connected to the bar so I could bring my dog and still have a tv right in front of me to watch the game. I would recommend adding heaters above the seats at the outside bar or at least a couple that could be rolled over. They only had a few way in the back,l hear the street, but nowhere near the area we were sitting. It was a good time and would definitely consider coming back for a big game or Sunday Funday! read more

This place has changed a lot since Covid. I was not a fan before. The workers were always amazing and very friendly but I just wasn't a beer drinker, I didn't love their wine menu and I hated the food. Now post Covid and an unfortunate fire situation- they have a full bar their entire food menu has changed, everything I had was amazing, especially the mac & cheese, you know I love a good mac & cheese. I also had a great time because my cousin and her BF are regulars there (that's actually why I was there) and they know Mr. Livingston from Creature Features who is also a regular there and was there that night. I was totally fab girling while also feeling like a celebrity myself for being with all their special regulars for HH. So a special thanks to my cousin Mackenzie for getting me back out to Belly recently and introducing me to Raven AKA Mr. Livingston! I definitely recommend Belly for their HH. My Tito's cosmos were amazing btw and no they were not part of HH they never are anywhere food was delish and seemed fresh. Prices were high like they are everywhere but you get what you pay for and I think now a days you really just gotta appreciate good service, food and drinks. read more

My birthday celebration here was awesome. We went for Happy Hour. We ordered several of the appetizers and shared them. Not pictured is the elote street corn skillet. with chips (delicious), salmon risotto (heavenly) dynamite shrimp (WOW). All were divine!!! The flavors of all of them were with just right spices. The elote corn dip had a little bite but not overwhelming. I loved the crispy deviled eggs. Normally I don't like cauliflower but the fried buffalo cauliflower was very good. So what's the Left Coast? Is it political or is it just referring to the West Coast states? And what does it have to do with a belly? Well, whatever the name refers to, everything they do here is right! After we had an exhausting but fun day at Spring Lake Park, we walked around Downtown Santa Rosa to look for something to eat. Oh man, one part of the street was deserted like a ghost town, except for one restaurant (where we wanted to have dinner) that was crowded. It was kinda sad to see some empty restaurants open for business. We walked to the next street and BAM! This was where life was happening! It was completely opposite to the other one. There were more interesting restaurants with p e o p l e. We stopped by this place to think about our options. We looked at a bunch of different menus from different restaurants since the kids were craving burgers. Sorry kids, no kids' burgers. So we decided to stay since we were already sitting at a table ready to order. We were happy with our drinks! I wasn't a fan of the Negroni, but my man enjoyed it a lot. My Strawberry Mango Margarita was light and refreshing - perfect after a whole day of playing and dealing with kids' tantrums. We started with the Bacon Wrapped Dates. I was surprised my daughter suggested it, but the dates were sweet as candy so I guess I shouldn't be. I wasn't turned off by how sweet it was, It was a yummy appetizer. My man and I shared a Wild Mushroom Pizza. It's funny because my daughter's Kids' Cheese pizza was as big as ours. Ours was really good... truffle oil, mozzarella, mushrooms, honey, arugula... OH man, I can't stop thinking about it. I wouldn't mind having that again! But, their menu is expansive, so I'd most likely order something new if I'm in the area again. My man's daughter enjoyed the Cameralized Onion Cheeseburger. She gave my daughter a piece, and I was surprised my daughter ate the onions too. It must have been really good cuz she likes her burgers plain. She liked her pizza and I'm glad there were leftovers for lunch the next day. Woo hoo! read more

So after hearing the advertisement for Belly for what 2-3 years! we finally made it to 4th St. we discovered plenty of parking in the back door lot, which is free after 6pm. We also made it during happy hour for $6 pints of Henhouse amongst others brews and $5 Wine, Murphy Goode a decent red. We also ordered from the appetizer menu and got the hot soft pretzel sick's with jalapeño cheese dip. They were really a perfect pairing with our libations, I could have eaten a plate of 3 myself! Our bartender Giovanni was personable and perfectly attentive. The bonus of the key board performer made for a fun experience whilst an NBA playoff game was featured on 2 of the large screens, thank you! I went to belly sunday night and had a wonderful experience! Everything came out so quickly, our server was a young guy and service was 10/10, and the food and drinks were delicious!! We sat outside it was so lovely! I had planned a dinner later that week but liked belly so much that I decided to move my dinner there on Wednesday night. I called, made a reservation and the person I spoke to was super nice and accommodating! We had about 10 of us and 2 kids so I know that can be a lot to handle but our service was really poor. We hardly got checked on and I get up and ask for almost everything. The bartenders and food runners were super helpful getting us everything we needed. We even had to go find the server to ask to order. Then once the food arrived we had to get up and go ask for silverware. The food and drinks were so delicious and came out fast. The spicy marg was amazing!! We got pretzel bites, pork nachos, and dynamite shrimp which were all so yummy! And the happy hour prices were great! They had a large variety of options for happy hour snacks and drinks. The only thing I was disappointed about was the gratuity included. I totally understand larger parties are hard to handle but an automatic 20% for pretty terrible service is lame. Our servers attitude was bad too. She didn't smile once at our table and all night long we were joking about how we felt hated.
