Fresh fruit, chamoy, and tajin.....a few of my favorite things!!! When I'm chilling on the beach!!!! The most famous part of Long Beach is the land around Rainbow Harbor, known to locals as The Pike, which is a waterfront area with an amusement park, shopping and restaurants. While the beach, is not the prettiest, however, IT'S STILL A BEACH. Good place kick back, meditate, set out a lounge chair & just chill. There are several fresh fruit carts. Get u a cup & enjoy.

I found Downtown Long Beach extremely cute. There is little bit of everything enough to draw you in. I thought of taking a quick walk from the aquarium and waterfront, but I ended up exploring every street, park and corner for hours. It gives me really very positive vibe. Some downtowns have too many tall business buildings and banks with little to no soul, but I found this downtown to have little bit of everything. The traffic didn't seem bad during the week either, even with some new apartment buildings being built. It is also very clean, I actually liked it so much that I ended up taking a walk in downtown almost every day during the week I stayed on the waterfront.

So from Long Beach to Long Beach downtown you have to go up a hill. Food are definitely cheaper downtown compared to near the water which is like 10 mins walk or less. If you want to save yourself time from walking than take the free bus service around downtown. Pretty convenient and awesome for them to offer such service. On a weekend and at night, downtown is pretty quiet. Buildings are quite interesting to look at. It has that historic downtown and modern feel, I find. Or maybe its in between. Nice. !

This place is so pretty, view is incredible! Last time I was there they had bikes for rent. Great walkway, a nice place to spend your day out watching sunset.. also restaurants, etc. around the area too.

Downtown LBC has it all except good parking. It even has its abundance of bums. From Roscoes to Rock Bottom to Yardhouse, this up and coming trendy location is slowly pushing the ghetto north of Anaheim... although not quite there yet. I remember coming to LBC for two reasons during the youthful days: V2O and Roscoes.... DT LBC has an assortment of lounges and bars even a 7-11 to get crunk off a dub. The beach is obviously nearby but don't go in that filthy water xD

Los Angels is big! LA might be bigger than Texas.I walked around Long Beach.I walked toward waterfront.I enjoyed beautiful sunrise.I returned to the area, and found Starbucks,I got coffee. There were a lot of hotels and convention center,I liked Long Beach!

This is the water you see when you walk down the walkway

They need to start cleaning this place up smells horrible and the beaches are very very dirty they need to put have more security guards around the walkway we need to see more police uniform so we can be more safer and the parking issue needs to be solved sometimes you come over and they have no parking

Fun place to shop, eat, drink, entertainment, and live. Paid parking garages, street parking but limited.

The Pike Outlets is literally down the street and it has a lot of good stores such as H&M, Gap, Converse, and restaurants.

Still nice but with a major upgrade. It's part of the aquarium of the pacific just along the harbor. There's a parking lot that's part of it but the payment situations was a bit of a mess. Paying with credit card on the machine was a hit or miss. Which i also found out from someone else there. It's probably easy just to do it from your phone. It's a decent size parking lot but there's also parking at the structure just next to the aquarium. It's a cute rolling hill park that looks out to both the queen mary, shoreline village and the harbor. Depending on what side you are. It's a cute little walk around with the lighthouse on top. There's benches scattered throughout the park for seating. There's even a little beach like path along the harbor. Regardless which side you are, the view is quite beautiful. There's also fishing that you could do on the pier. You'll see people about and about walking, picnicking, walking with their dogs or a stroll. Long Beach has its hidden gems and this place was one of them.

One tip: bring a jacket! It can get surprisingly cool and breezy by the water. Beautiful views, great atmosphere. Five stars. Duh!

The water is very calm, it's clean, and my kids love that there is a playground. There was a vendor walking around to sell floaties and we ended up getting a raft and the sticks for the raft for our kids. We did try to negotiate on the price but were only able to save a few bucks. I saw lifeguards walking back and forth often and it definitely made me feel safer to have the kids there. If you have young kids, I definitely say this is a great little beach to take your kiddos. Plenty of trash cans around and my kids gotta play with other kids. They didn't have to run super far with their bucket of water to make a sandcastle. Needless to say, we really liked this beach and definitely plan to come back. 2 thumbs up from this mom. Tips: *Parking lot available but you have to pay. *Free street parking. *Restroom available. *Lifeguard on site. * Vendors are always walking around (food, floaties). *There is a little playground with swings.

Warmer water, no waves, a perfect place to learn how to use most any type of SUP, and it's just a welcoming atmosphere overall. Today the water was nice and clean, but because it is in the bay the water quality can change depending as it's not flowing like a regular beach. The sand is also kinda different and sticky here, I'm sure it's brought in from around the corner, but it just seems kinda different here. Also, it's LB so be prepared to fight for your life for parking depending on the day and time. In all though it's a nice hidden gem. :)
