It is designed in a traditional Japanese style with two connected islands and surrounding park with high arched rainbow bridges. This location rainbow Lagoon located in Long Beach at the end of the 710 freeway this place throws a lot of events so it's kind always good place to go by and check it out right here.

Came here for the West Coast Taco & Beer Festival. The park was well organized and the different type of beers were good to try but I came across some that were very yummy and kept going back. They also had WWE Fights.

Found this event on Eventbrite. Parking in the neighboring structure was $15 for the day. Outdoor Juneteenth Celebration at Rainbow Lagoon Park. Booths set up with vendors and food trucks. They had performers and a VIP section set up with tables and chairs directly in front of stage. You were able to bring chairs to sit out and enjoy the performances as well.

Really great date activity! Get a lil work out and fresh air plus the view is very nice. Went with my girlfriend and she loved it! I hear it very romantic at night so I must return to see if that's true...

This location rainbow Lagoon located in Long Beach at the end of the 710 freeway this place throws a lot of events so it's kind always good place to go by and check it out right here. You can always see a different kind a Vance they had a crawfish event, Puerto Rican Fast event what kind of stuff But it's at the rainbow lagoon right here by Pine Street you'll see it. You could also rent little swans he could ride on this one you can rent this one has a bypass walk path. It's pretty nice pretty good view. It's quite serene something to chill try by the Long Beach Convention Center, it's on the southside a Long Beach Convention Center, right across the street from Shoreline Village. Check them out.

These swans were honestly meh. Children (17 years and younger) are $6 while adults are $11. The water smelled bad & the steering device was hard to use. There was little shading on the swan so the sun was practically always beaming on you. Scenery wasn't good either only a Building, The park, a small bridge you CANT GO UNDER. + This place is overcrowded. * RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED*

The park is located north of Shoreline Drive, between Shoreline Village Drive and Linden Avenue, this park is the remnant of Rainbow Lagoon by Auditorium Park before the lagoon was filled for the Long Beach Arena. It is designed in a traditional Japanese style with two connected islands and surrounding park with high arched rainbow bridges. The area is turf, with accenting trees. Rainbow Lagoon is filled with seawater, however the water was dirty with trash floating on the surface.

Still nice but with a major upgrade. It's part of the aquarium of the pacific just along the harbor. There's a parking lot that's part of it but the payment situations was a bit of a mess. Paying with credit card on the machine was a hit or miss. Which i also found out from someone else there. It's probably easy just to do it from your phone. It's a decent size parking lot but there's also parking at the structure just next to the aquarium. It's a cute rolling hill park that looks out to both the queen mary, shoreline village and the harbor. Depending on what side you are. It's a cute little walk around with the lighthouse on top. There's benches scattered throughout the park for seating. There's even a little beach like path along the harbor. Regardless which side you are, the view is quite beautiful. There's also fishing that you could do on the pier. You'll see people about and about walking, picnicking, walking with their dogs or a stroll. Long Beach has its hidden gems and this place was one of them.

Quieter, green grass (it'd be nice to bring a book here) away from the hustle and bustle. And the views are hard to beat, the Lighthouse, the shore with boats and Queen Mary in the near distance. Bring a snack, a drink, take a nice break here, a cool walk to explore the Shoreline Park. Always enjoyable!

Drake Park is a space with potential, but it is in definite need of consistent care, maintenance,…read moreand stronger oversight from park staff. My family and I have visited this park on several occasions for picnics and playtime with my nephew and niece, and each visit has included experiences that could use significant improvement. The atmosphere and activity level of the park seem to vary depending on the weather and time of day. One of the first challenges visitors may encounter is the parking situation--particularly within the circular parking area near the end of the road. The issue is not necessarily the angle of the parking itself, but rather the layout, which seems to encourage inconsiderate parking habits. During busier hours, people frequently attempt to park bumper-to-bumper without regard for surrounding vehicles, making the area unnecessarily difficult to navigate. Upon settling into the park, it became immediately noticeable that the picnic tables were not being properly maintained. Many of the tables were covered in bird droppings, dried food residue, and other questionable debris. These areas clearly require daily cleaning and routine power washing in order to remain sanitary and usable for the public. The restroom conditions were even more concerning. Drake Park has two separate bathroom areas, and one of them was in extremely poor condition. The level of filth was excessive and appeared to reflect a lack of routine upkeep and sanitation. The individual stalls, floors, doors, and toilets were all noticeably unclean, making the facilities difficult to use comfortably or safely. During one visit, an unrelated woman aggressively approached my family and began yelling that my nephew and his grandmother could not use one of the restroom areas. The behavior was startling, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable, especially toward children in a public park environment. Another recurring issue at this location is the lack of supervision among some of the children using the playground areas. While my nephew and niece were attempting to play and socialize respectfully, a group of unattended children began singling out my niece with insults, sneering remarks, and inappropriate name-calling. No parents or guardians were present to correct the behavior, which ultimately required intervention from me directly. The situation was disappointing and reflected a broader lack of supervision and accountability within the park environment. Overall, Drake Park currently attracts an atmosphere that often feels chaotic and poorly managed. Public parks reflect the level of care invested into them, and when maintenance, cleanliness, and oversight are neglected, it inevitably impacts the quality of the environment and the behavior it attracts. With stronger upkeep, improved sanitation, and more visible management presence, this park could become a far more welcoming and enjoyable space for families and the surrounding community.

The garden features a large pond filled with koi, including around 30 big koi and what looks like hundreds of smaller ones they are raising. It is a relaxing place to watch the fish swim by and enjoy the scenery. One of the best parts is that visiting is free, but you do need to make a reservation ahead of time. They allow up to six people per reservation, and they typically do not take walk-ins, so plan ahead before coming. The garden itself is on the smaller side, and the walking path takes about 15 minutes at a casual pace. Still, there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. You will find charming bridges, small waterfalls, lily pads throughout the pond, and even a little Zen garden area. Even though it is compact, the peaceful atmosphere and the well-kept grounds make it a great visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want a quiet, refreshing escape.
