It's an interesting grungy biker bar, and they should at least close the front doors so you don't have to smell bike exhaust from bikes leaving the bar... bad enough you can smoke in here. The bar only had like one bartender and so service had a tendency to be slow. They do have karaoke, definitely some interesting characters coming into this place. Their are some lack luster looking pool tables in the back and OMG, only one bathroom stall (the bathroom you may easily miss since it's unmarked but its by the pool tables).. Name says it all. It is what it advertises. Only stopped for 2 beers. Bar has peanut bowls. Old time, good neighborhood, friendly feel. Patrons said hello, try to engage customers rather than ignore. Bar keep on top of things, seemed to love her job. Lots of stuff hanging around walls ceilings to catch your eye. Fun place, will be back. Stopped in for the first time on a Thursday night with my SO. Bartender was really nice and made us feel welcome right away. Love the atmosphere there. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Will be frequenting when we move to Leesburg. Can't wait to see what it's like on the weekend with a bigger crowd. read more

For downtown Leesburg, great dive bar ambience; not artificial, but genuine. Wood floors, cigarette smoke, neon beer signs, pool tables; reminds me of being back in Texas. No fancy beers on tap, but Yuengling is always the best of blue-collar beers. I got the BBQ sirloin sandwhich, and it wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't real smoked BBQ, just meat with a sticky-sweet sauce. But still tasty, good bread, and came with home-friend potato chips. The fried pickles were pretty good, nice spicy batter. So overall a good place if you want food and atmosphere about as free of pretension as you're likely to find in downtown Leesburg. read more

The food here is better than expected. We really loved the wings the most. If you like spicy order the hottest ones on the menu..it's ok you can handle it! Sandwiches and burgers are named after Harley motors,etc. I thought that the home made chips would be better with some seasoning (Old Bay, Cajun,etc). read more

What you see is what you get. Cold beer, interesting people to chat with, good bar food, great wings, good juke box. A classic bar in the truest sense. Not the cookie cutter crap like Applebees or Fridays. Lots of memorabilia, photos, stickers, bras etc adorn the walls. Really not much of a biker bar anymore, though you'll see some. A fun hang out for drinks and munchies. Some nights mild, some nights wild. The kinda place you're happy to see ('potentially illegal') bumper stickers on the wall. LOL Grace, you silly. read more

Friday night is karaoke and it's pretty smoky in the place but it's a relaxed atmosphere.

This was a fun dive to check out. We were looking for a spot to host a post-rehearsal dinner meet & greet before our wedding, or a post-wedding hang-out. Unfortunately, I don't think this was appropriate for either due to the smoky bar. Yes, there is a non-smoking room with its own entrance from outside, but there's no bar in there. We were looking for something divey, which the Downtown Saloon definitely is. Our bartender was nice and chatty, but the place was kind of subdued for a Saturday night. Never saw a food menu, so I can't comment on that. The beer selection, from what I could see, was kind of slim and a lower caliber than I expected for a dive. Sure, have the Miller Lite, Bud Lite, Yuengling, but how about local brews or craft brews? Maybe the customers there wouldn't order that, I don't know. Also, all beers are served in mason jars. Not sure if that's a plus or a minus (I personally like mason jars), but it was an unexpected hipster touch for a biker bar. PS- Non-smoking room had billiards tables. read more

It is what it is. An uber-seedy dive packed with all the chain smoking people you'd expect at such a venue. Had the misfortune of being there for concert level karaoke night. Not concert level talent, just concert level volumes. I'm certain their speakers went to 11. It was literally impossible to carry on a conversation. That said, everyone was friendly, the crowd was lively and the bar staff was competent and quick. I'd certainly go back, just probably not on karaoke night. read more

Watched the big fight (Mayweather v. Pacquiao) on May 2nd here - busy crowd, but the servers were great! They accommodated our larger group without hesitation and continued to make sure we were taken care of throughout the night. Good food, good drinks and great service! read more

I enjoy the Downtown Saloon in Leesburg a lot. Surprisingly good food from the kitchen, great music, top of the line televisions, good down to earth clientele and a veteran staff that does a great job. It's easy to spend an afternoon reading, listening, watching and having a good cigar after a good lunch. read more

Decent Burger, Friendly bartender, good dive bar vibe, except with every motorcycle bar there is a so called bouncer (possible owner?) who seems to not be able to ascertain proper threat levels nor a proper sense of reality. During my previous visit, this bar was presented as a good time bar with Karaoke, Special Events and good times, therefore I came back to this bar/restaurant. After ordering a beer and paying the bartender I had a few items from what appeared to be a Friday Happy Hour Spread. I finished my beer, then received a phone call that had to be taken outside because of noise levels, and as I was finished with my beer, I decided to leave the bar/restaurant. Across the street and somewhat up the road someone calls out to me.. "Hey, you didn't pay your bar bill, I said I had, ("thinking this is so strange") but this person needed me to go back and get confirmation that I paid from the bartender. (By the way we are talking about one "light beer") After confirming I had paid for my beer I left quite annoyed. Who the heck walks out on a beer bill? So on my way out of town, I stopped back at the bar, set down a five dollar bill and said "if you need to follow every customer out of the bar to confirm they paid, business must be bad enough that you need this "five" more than me". I left, so much for the so called "hospitality" that I was told about the first time I was there. This experience was like a time warp into "Easy Rider". I am sure I won't be frequenting "Downtown Saloon" anytime soon. read more

LOVED this place. This is the second biker bar I have been to and it is just that. Went on a Saturday at around 4-5pm and there are biker's everywhere. Not a place you want to bring the kids, not a place you want to bring your parents. But thats what makes it so great!! Its grungy and divy with great food and cold beer. It's a fine dive bar. Staff is frendly, crowd is ok. My biggest complaint is that their TVs aren't in HD. Even if I'm not watching a game, that tells me they're cheap. Also they use generic ketchup, now they're really cheap. read more

My friends and I were near White's Ferry to fish but we decided not to fish since it was too cold and we forgot to bring fishing rods so we decided to find a bar to have a bite to eat and watch the Redskins game, we had the privilege of stumbling upon Downtown Saloon in Leesburg. The food was great and the beer was cold. Our waitress was an absolute peach. The music was really on-point with a mix of Hank Williams and more modern country hits.But best of all was the atmosphere. You're allowed to smoke in the bar and the confederate flag on the wall makes me feel like this is the type of bar for people like me, and not for Syrian refugees. In conclusion, this is probably the best bar I've ever been to besides Shenanigans in Adams Morgan, DC. read more
