Went to Downtown Smog due to the convenience of location. Wow was I surprised on how fast Nadeem (Owner) smogged my car. No line on a Saturday and knocked it out in less than 10 minutes. He does have a waiting room but I was too busy checking out the '57 caddy and '67 VW square back that were parked out back. Nadeem's price to smog my car was less than what I paid to smog an old car I owned that I smogged back in 2006! His prices are cheap!! Highly recommend Downtown Smog read more

This place is NEVER open: I stopped by yesterday at 6:05pm and they were closed. I stopped by this morning a little after 8am... and they were STILL closed. I personally made every effort to get to this place yesterday before they closed, even if it meant having to leave work a few minutes early just to dodge the traffic. I thought I would try again and stop by this morning before work - obviously that was a waste of time. Their flyer states their hours are 8am-6:30pm. Why bother having your business hours on your mailer, when apparently you open/close up shop whenever you want? I can't vouch for their service when their inability to stay open for business when they say they are have already proven to be unreliable. read more

I was due for a smog check and decided to give this place a try since it's just down the street from my work. I came in mid week around 10am, handed the gentleman my keys and he had me take a seat in the waiting area. He came back and brought me a cold bottle of water while I waited which was so nice! I was in and out within 10/15 minutes without any problems. They also have a coupon online that they're happy to honor plus the gentleman gave me a few coupons to pass on to my friends and family. Today was my first time here. I usually hate these places, but I really liked this one. Nice guy, quick in and out, good price (get a coupon on their web site). If you own an alt-fueled vehicle like my natural gas powered Honda Civic, you'll appreciate it that Downtown Smog won't charge you for the evaporative emission testing that you don't need. There are closer places to my house, but I will gladly return here again and again, and bring our other family cars here for smog checks. I highly recommend Downtown Smog! read more

Had an AMAZING experience today! Had a horrible time with another smog place just a week prior, with the mechanics trying to milk is for money. Came here and was seen immediately (no wait!). We were lead to a cozy little room with couches, magazines and water. Within 15 minutes the entire process was done and over with. The guy who helped us (I hate that we didn't get his name) was super informative and explained every detail. He answered all of our questions and was just an all around personable fella. He explained that coming to a test only center like his is more convenient, and that mechanics places have a tendency to throw "repair needs" in. We felt comfortable and overall well taken care of. I called before I went. He asked the make and model of my car and said $40-$45. I went online and printed their coupon for $31.50. After the smog check was done the bill had $50 crossed off and the total was $45. When I asked about the coupon I got some excuse about my car being an SUV..So why wasn't that explained on the phone when he quoted me for my make and model?? read more

Wow! Fastest smog check ever in my life! Fast and friendly! I literally sat down and began to look through a magazine. Not even half way through and the gentleman said was done. He even let me keep the golf magazine as he saw my set of clubs in the car :) He does have coupons but already offers best price. He gave a few coupons to pass on to friends and family. What a pleasant and easy experience coming to this smog test garage...Ray who runs the place did the job in 20 minutes, while I waited inside a customer lounge, drinking a bottle of spring water he offered and I was entertained by his young, playful and delightful Russian blue cat "Shadow".
