The classes are organized, well structured, and taught by knowledgeable and kind staff. Our daughter is currently in the Mighty Mites class with Keira, Kylee, and Nikki. Even at this young age, they emphasize proper form and execution, while keeping the class fun and enjoyable. Our daughter has taken private lessons with Kelly and Cassidy. They have both been challenging and preparing her for the transition to the Junior Academy (in a couple months). We are always met by friendly staff at the front desk (most recently it was Mackenzie) and never feel rushed when we ask a question. The floor supervisor, Vivian, regularly checks in to see how things are going whenever we see her. Overall, it's been an extremely positive experience here!

Thank you for your response. I do want to clarify several things because I feel that my concerns…read moreare being misrepresented. First, when I stated that my daughter had not done this before, I was referring to this specific class, level, and the skills and instructions that were being asked of her that day. I am fully aware that she had previously attended your gym. Her prior attendance does not mean she should automatically know or remember every skill being asked of her, especially at five years old and after time away. Second, my concern was never simply that Coach Mary had to repeat instructions. I completely understand that coaches need to repeat themselves, especially when it comes to safety. My concern was the frustration I personally observed from Coach Mary toward my daughter and the way it affected her emotionally. I was present and watching the class myself. The reason I went over to Coach Mary in the first place was because my daughter was coming toward me crying. As her mother, I was obviously going to approach the situation and find out what had happened. I did not randomly interrupt the class to criticize anyone. I approached because my five-year-old child was visibly upset and crying. Afterward, my daughter told me she did not want to return because the experience made her feel sad and nervous. That is what concerned me as a parent. I also want to be clear that I never criticized Coach Pearla. In fact, I specifically acknowledged how patient, attentive, and understanding she was with my daughter. My concern was specifically regarding Coach Mary and the difference I personally observed in the way my daughter was treated. Regarding the description of my tone as "aggressive" and "hateful," I strongly disagree with that characterization. I approached the situation as a concerned parent after watching my five-year-old come toward me crying. Speaking up for my child when she is visibly distressed does not make me hateful or aggressive. My responsibility as her mother is to advocate for her. I also find it concerning that so much of the response focuses on defending Coach Mary's character and describing how well-liked she is. Whether she is a "fan favorite" or has positive experiences with other families does not invalidate what I personally witnessed or what my daughter experienced that day. I am not speaking for every child or every parent. I am speaking about our personal experience. Ultimately, my biggest concern remains the same: my five-year-old left the class crying, became nervous about returning, and asked me not to take her back. Instead of simply acknowledging that this experience was upsetting for a young child, the response has largely focused on defending the coach and criticizing me for raising the concern. I stand by what I personally witnessed and by my decision to advocate for my daughter.

Since starting here in June, my child has learned so much in such a short period of time. The coaching staff is incredible. They truly know how to connect with the kids, build their confidence, and help them safely develop new skills. We also attended the summer camp, which was absolutely awesome and so much fun. A huge shoutout to coaches Lily, Katie, Delaney, and Jayden for being so fantastic and dedicated. I also have to give a special mention to Hannah in the front office, who is always super helpful, welcoming, and makes the whole experience seamless for the parents. If you are looking to start your child in gymnastics, I cannot recommend New Hope Gymnastics enough!

Glad I found New Hope! They make a way to fit your needs and for that I have been thankful. My kiddo did gym team level 2/3, excel prep, and has now transitioned to advanced tumbling for cheer team. She has continued to improve and excel! She is constantly complimented about her tumbling capabilities and it's from these coaches! Thanks New Hope!!! If I had to really not-pick, the only down side is the place is a little dated and needs a bit of sprucing up....but that's like criticizing an older car that's still running good. LOL

Very disappointing! How can she see me every week asking and they don't bother to make a call or text when it is my daughter's turn. Now probably it will take another 6 months of wait because she is number 2 on the waitlist! Seriously no sense of customer care for these kids and no respect for parents at this business!

Communication from staff is inconsistent, policies are unclear, and parents are given conflicting information depending on who they speak with. After being told one thing in person by staff, I later spoke with Liz, who provided completely different information with no acknowledgment of the earlier guidance. As a result, a reasonable request regarding already-paid classes was denied due to staff miscommunication. When I was at the gym in person, I specifically asked to speak with the manager, Taylor, but she refused to come out and instead said she would call me. That call never happened. The lack of accountability and follow-through only added to the frustration. We have been members for over two years and currently have another child enrolled, yet there was no flexibility or effort to resolve the situation fairly. For a business that serves families and children, this level of customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this gym based on how poorly concerns are handled.

It was her first…read moreexperience with any kind of gymnastics, and, honestly, I selected this particular class because it was cheapest in OC. Previously, my daughter tried ballet and dropped it in one month because "it was boring". Ruby's classes were anything but boring: serious workout, new impressive tricks every time, chance to be a part of performance. My daughter simply loved it! I was very much impressed by low price, small class sizes and my daughter progress. In just two month she built such abdominal muscles that allowed her to do 100 sit-ups easily. She always had weak arms, but now she can do front and back walkovers and a handstand. I liked Ruby's "warm up" routine so much, that started to do it myself at home, it is great for getting back in shape. Ruby's and Luca's enthusiasm and passion to their work are superb. You rarely will be able to meet teaches who make a class longer for no additional charge because they are really trying to help a student or simply being carried away. Did you ever take children to summer camps? Then you shall know about penalty for every minute of the late pick up. First day at Ruby Karen summer camp I was 5 minutes late and was preparing apology in advance. When I run into the gym, I found my daughter preparing for the upcoming performance and Ruby kindly asked me to wait for a few minutes so they can work on some elements! She was apologizing for taking time and doing extra work, and she was there all morning! And shall I really tell that OC Great Park performance was a highlight of this summer for my daughter and many other kids? Since Dance Asylum is located pretty far from my house, I always was staying in the room during my daughter's classes and never noticed a single inappropriate word or action. I do not remember a single class starting late or being cancelled on the short notice. Luca is my daughter's favorite person and, I noticed, all children simply love him. Both, Ruby and Luca are strongly focused on safety and even I, a mother, sometimes would get feeling that they are a little too attentive. In the matter of fact, I am certain now that aerial arts, if thought properly, are much safer than regular gymnastics. I also feel that for some children, performing arts can become much healthier physical activity than competitive sport. My daughter participated in two performances so far, and during these events every child is a winner. Ruby is amazing choreographer and she designed beautiful routine for every skill level. Ruby is very professional, extremely patient and encouraging teacher. I recommended Ruby Karen project to all my friends. I am very certain that her classes can be great experience for children of any age or physical shape. I would give her 6 stars if there was such option ))

After summer, I was placed in a different group with a new, inexperienced coach and significantly younger athletes. Despite the challenges, I stayed committed and continued working hard. I actually never missed a single practice in the 4 and a half months I was there. There were ongoing issues within the group (specifically one girl) that made the environment uncomfortable, and although they were brought to the coaches' attention multiple times, nothing was effectively addressed. A month before our first competition--after we had already begun learning routines--I received an email stating that I was no longer welcome at the gym. I was given no clear explanation, no prior warning, and no opportunity to discuss or resolve anything. Being removed from a team this way, especially right before competition season, was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. I would strongly encourage better communication and fairness when handling athletes in the future.

I would have felt better with some of the other coaches but to be honest I don't feel this place is good for us. We are considering places like era or vibe gymnastics. The environment here seems like they are putting a show rather than actual teaching methods and passing down the experience. Just seems like coach Madelyn was a prime example of that. Wouldn't recommend her or this place either
