This place is great for kids of all ages. My son loves the trampoline class. He tried it out with the Max Day Pass that they offer and learned so much in just one class! The coaches are very attentive and friendly. The open gym is so much fun as you have access to the whole gym to practice any skills you want. My son was mostly on the trampoline during an open gym session, and even during this time the coaches were giving input and helping him. There is a great seating area where you can observe your kids and it also has video so that you can see areas of the gym that you cannot otherwise see from the deck. There is wi-fi too if you need to work whilst your kids are taking classes. I highly recommend! read more

I take my nephew for the little heroes class and all the instructors are amazing with him. As firestorm is approved to work with charter schools, every instructor and coach has to go through additional courses to be certified to work with the kids. The facility is up to date and clean. The obstacles are constantly changing. They might be the only facility in the area that offers adult classes as well. On top of free running they have trampoline and aerial silk classes. Anytime I consider returning to a new place for my child, I factor in their experience first and mine second, both important. As a parent, I would have given it less stars. The instructors were teasing/ belittling other staff from the across the room...not a good example for little ones. The activities are in such small spaces, the kids need to wait a long time to enjoy each activity such as the trampoline. As for the children, they had a great time. I'm grateful for all the teachers that inspire confidence in the kids by having them put in the effort to improve. This place is great and I wish all educational institutions were set up like this!!! My son is now 5 and he still loves going to his Little Heroes class. It is the shining light at the end of the week for him. I truly appreciate this place as there is nothing like it for small kids available in the surrounding area -- we drive from Lakewood for him to take his classes. He takes classes mostly Fridays and Saturdays, and has been coached by 4 different individuals in his Little Heroes classes.. I sit through the classes observing their teaching styles and patience-- ALL coaches are amazing! They are patient, but test and teach each child to their ability. When they teach, my kid actually listens and LEARNS. I cannot wait until he is older and able to take more classes available here. read more

Oh how I used to love Firestorm. The coaches are still great. The front staff is still friendly. However, they've changed their class structure. The classes now have all levels (ranks). So there's one coach with a group of students that are at varying ranks. This means your child learns skills at a slower rate because his coach has to teach several ranks within 30 minutes. (Warm-up is about 15 min and their cool down is 15 min.) It'd be great if one coach can teach one rank. The other downside? Because of the varying ranks in each class, your child will be much slower to check skills off in order to be able to rank up to the next level. It's just not possible for a coach to check off an optimal amount of skills for 3 different ranks within 30 minutes for a class of 7. Their open gym used to be $1. They raised it to $5. I'm well aware of inflation, but a 500% increase is overwhelming. It's unfortunate because open gym was a great opportunity to practice newly learned skills, but the reality is, families don't want to (or can't) spend $5 for each open gym. Sadly, I'm not sure if I would recommend Firestorm at this time. read more

My 12 yr old is the Tazmanian Devil from Looney Toons. After being cooped up for the Covid nuclear winter, he is now out of control, maxi-zoomed hyper. And Firestorm is THE answer to my problems (*cue heavenly choir*). That's right..... parkour, tumbling, ninja warrior skills, aerial silks.... they have it all, and will occupy your beloved Tazmanian for one of their many classes, and free play time. It's a fantastic way to get today's kids away from the insta-focused reality that too many cell-phone-focused Millennials are trapped in, and bring back the in-person, social activities that we're suppose to have. They have summer camps for the very young, and classes for beginners of all ages, from teens to adults, though after 830pm, it is strictly 18+. First of all my son loved it here! And our first impression of of the facility was awesome! The front desk was always kind and accommodating. Email responses were quick and polite! The students here are supportive and friendly , as are most of the coaches . We stopped attending because of Coach Jonas . He would make hurtful comments to the kids and use verbally inappropriate words for a kids facility . My son had been attending for about two months when Jonas began to make fun of his rank . We understand a little tough love . But one class we observed him pressuring my son to do a jump . My son informed him he wanted to opt out of the jump . He knew the jump was beyond his ability at the time . Jonas continued to pressure him harshly until my son gave in . Guess what happened after the jump? He sprained his ankle . Other than Jonas our experience was superb . We would love to return if Jonas ever decided to find employment elsewhere. read more

Having never been to anything like this, we had lots of questions. When we got there, the staff was incredibly welcoming and informative. They immediately engaged with the kids who were already pumped because of the My Hero Academia and Avatar decor. The coaches were outstanding. Josh was outstanding with the little heroes class. Having a class of 4-6 year olds isn't easy, but he did awesome. Jonas with the older kids coaches them all up, and by the end of the day my oldest was running a parkour course. The kids had an awesome time. The strength, conditioning, balance and flexibility being taught in an incredibly fun and acrobatic way is so cool to watch. My kids are gonna be wiped! Maddie was so helpful for me as I asked a ton of questions. She gave me the lowdown on EVERYTHING. We love Firestorm! It's really the best! I have four kids age range 4-11 yo (boys and girls), and they love all the equipment there that they can climb and jump! They can move their bodies in so many ways and they're never bored! They can spend several hours there! It's honestly such a great gym and the coaches are experienced and so nice! The variety of classes has met each of my kids needs. I love that with multiple kids I can just go to one place for their activities! They have a nice spacious sitting area for parents. I am so floored by the horrific customer service of this place. My son went here before covid. And if it was just about the coaches and the facility they used to have in Santa Ana I would probably have given this place a 5. Unfortunately they have fallen far since then. When covid happened they shut down, when they reopened they required masks and enforced it. (Which already is a no for me. I happen to believe in the insane idea that people have the right to make their own medical decisions.) So, we took a break and went on freeze for $10/month. Then their location shut down due to lease issues. So they took it out outside to a park. But the times didn't work for us. We had accumulated a lot of classes though that we paid for but hadn't used and I didn't want to lose and kept hoping we'd get to use them, so I stayed on freeze. They have an unfortunate and unwavering policy that if you go off freeze or close your account you cannot use any of your ALREADY PAID for classes. So I kept thinking we'd figure out how to use them but it didn't work out and I kept paying $10/month. Somewhere along the way they stopped the freeze amount and charged me the FULL price for the month. When they did this we hadn't gone in or used their services for a year or more. When I found out I said, ummm please don't do that. They said that I had been on freeze too long and once again emphasized that they couldn't let me use my already paid for classes unless I was in freeze or paying the full amount each month. So they extended the freeze again. In August of 2021 I got an email that said they charged me the FULL amount for the month again. I emailed and said, I've finally figured this out: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LOSS OF CLASSES ANYMORE! I'm done paying for nothing and getting nothing out of this, it's time to cut my losses and move on. I asked VERY CLEARLY for a cancellation of my account and a reimbursement, in an email. I was in the middle of a very stressful and overwhelming time because we were moving! They responded in an email that I missed due to the move. It asked if I wanted to freeze or cancel. Which is pretty ridiculous because my email was very clear that I wanted to cancel. As far as I know this was their only attempt to reach me. I didn't respond and so they decided that I neither wanted to cancel or freeze but went ahead and charged my account in September, October, November, December AND January! Hmm.. so I sent an email saying CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. And you heard: keep charging you the full amount every month? Okay, you got it! Like what in the world?! I didn't notice these charges because of the move. Which was a very big deal happening during the school year and holiday season. I could barely keep my head above water. When I see the email in January I am ticked. I email them. What the heck?! I told you I wanted to cancel. I call them: I told you I wanted to cancel. Reimburse all of these months. How could you feel good about charging me after I asked to cancel and when I AM NOT USING YOUR SERVICES AT ALL AND HAVEN'T FOR OVER A YEAR?! First they said, well we can't cancel without a written request. When I forwarded the written request from August then they said well you never responded when we asked for clarification. Which is so dumb! Because yeah, but I definitely DID NOT SAY keep charging me even though we haven't come in in over a year and have not given any indication that we plan to! Every time I've interacted with them they have a very polite and cordial way of basically saying, "we're within our rights due to this technicality or policy, etc, thank you!" It's maddening. They honestly do not give a flip about the customer but apparently a whole heck of a lot about money and about their policies and procedures. I'm appalled by this. This is a family company? That serves families and kids and homeschool people? Technicalities or not, SERVE THE PEOPLE! do the right thing! Be reasonable and accommodating when you can, even if you COULD take advantage because your policies say you can. Why?! Are you that desperate for money or that greedy? Like I said, shocked at the utter disregard for me and my situation and my pleading with them to return my money. I've rarely met with this level of obstinate disregard from a company. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I'm still fighting with them to return the money they charged after I asked them to stop charging! And they're still rationalizing it and being all business polite while disregarding my pleas. It's gross. read more

First, this place gives you a good discount when you show them your yelp review when you sign up. That's thebreason for disproportionate number of 5 star reviews. Second, my kids have been comming here for almost 2 years, simply because it's closest place for parkour. Facilities are super dirty and run down, but the worst is completely unprofessional staff. Instructors and front desk staff are a bunch of teenagers, and seem to have zero education in customer service or working with kids. My daughter's silks instructor was French kissing her boyfriend while watching the kids silks recital - surrounded by 5-10year olds. Instructors seem more interested in hanging out with each other than paying any attention to the kids during classes. Kids are supposed to progress through the ranks- but instructos make it intimidating for the kids to ask for the skillset to be checked off. Finally, their cancelation policy is not clear and has changed multiple times in the 2 years I've had my kids here. Too many other places, with trained coaches and much better customer service, are opening up in the area and we are finally leaving!! read more

He noticed my son was kind of fooling around on one of the bars. Instead of pulling him back, the instructor tried teaching him a new trick. Safety is super important, the instructor noticed some of the kids were using their knees and stopped them to emphasize not to land on knees or use them as leverage.
