We have been attending the parent and tot class for about 6 months. 5 stars for Coach Jen and her class, it is the best! We have done make up classes with other coaches and the classes aren't as fun or interactive as Coach Jen's. 3 stars for the front desk and facility. They can be really short and unprofessional when you ask questions. They are great however about calling back to reschedule makeup classes. I also feel like the gym floor can be much cleaner and put together. Bathrooms are always clean and so is the lobby but the gym itself needs more love. read more

Extremely poor customer service. Our experience with Wildfire Gymnastics in Tustin has been frustrating and disappointing. Communication from staff is inconsistent, policies are unclear, and parents are given conflicting information depending on who they speak with. After being told one thing in person by staff, I later spoke with Liz, who provided completely different information with no acknowledgment of the earlier guidance. As a result, a reasonable request regarding already-paid classes was denied due to staff miscommunication. When I was at the gym in person, I specifically asked to speak with the manager, Taylor, but she refused to come out and instead said she would call me. That call never happened. The lack of accountability and follow-through only added to the frustration. We have been members for over two years and currently have another child enrolled, yet there was no flexibility or effort to resolve the situation fairly. For a business that serves families and children, this level of customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this gym based on how poorly concerns are handled. read more

The front desk staff seem unfamiliar with their own policies and often give conflicting information depending on who you speak with. Today, we were told that memberships must be canceled 30 days in advance, even though the website clearly states notice must be given by the 25th of the month. We were planning to freeze our membership over the summer, and the interaction quickly became hostile. The staff member also told us that makeup classes could not be used for holiday closures, despite that policy also being outlined on their website. To make matters worse, we were not even given credit for the holiday closure until we specifically asked about it, at which point they said they would "look into it." Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. This is especially disappointing because we were hoping to find a gymnastics gym we could stay with long term. If you are looking for a well-run gymnastics program for your children, I would not recommend this location. read more

Very disappointing business! I had my daughter in the wait list at Tustin for the past 6 months to go at the same time as my son. And we're checking with the reception every week to see if it is her turn. For 6 month every week the reception lady said my daughter is number 1 in the wait list. One week we miss the class and didn't ask for her turn. Now the reception is telling me that my daughter lost her turn because I didn't respond to their email within 48 hours. Very bad communication! Very disappointing! How can she see me every week asking and they don't bother to make a call or text when it is my daughter's turn. Now probably it will take another 6 months of wait because she is number 2 on the waitlist! Seriously no sense of customer care for these kids and no respect for parents at this business! read more

It's very disappointing and heartbreaking that there are no makeup classes for kids once they are dropped from the monthly program. My child missed three classes due to illness, and that has left her feeling discouraged and frustrated about continuing. I was hoping to give her a short break, let her attend the makeup classes, and then see if she would like to continue with gymnastics -- while also easing the financial burden of the monthly fee. Unfortunately, this policy doesn't give her that chance, and it truly feels unfair and disheartening for a child who simply got sick. read more

Coaches here are very great with the kids. Front desk are very helpful and friendly. Parking can be a bit tough but pro-tip: give yourself an extra 5 minutes and patience. There's a great viewing platform area to watch the kids during class time. read more

3.3 rating does say a lot but I heard about this place from someone else and decided to give it a shot for my daughter, but unfortunately will not be enrolling her. They're always rude- been there 3 times and the women are just not nice for whatever reason. I honestly can't stand this place, but my daughter enjoys coming because she attends class at the same time as her BFF from school, so we continue to come. Regardless of the nominal monthly fee we pay, there is absolutely no structure or communication in having your child attend here. They are placed in a group with a teenage/college age coach and learn skills. Your child is supposed to be evaluated regularly to determine if they can move up in "levels" but don't expect to hear how these evaluations go, or know how your child is doing in terms of progress because the coaches and staff "have more than 2500 children" rotating through their doors each month, they can't possibly be bothered with a system of communicating with each and every one of us. They told me it's "MY" job as the parent to come find the coaches, staff and report to the front office to find out how my daughter is doing. Yea, not ok to place responsibility on parents to follow through with how an establishment and company deems themselves "successful". Do yourself a a favor and find a different place (or even private tutor) to learn gymnastics. The Tustin location is rundown, smells like dirty feet and is not properly ran by management that gives a sh*t. The Lake Forest location seems more put together (when we visit for camps and parent nights out). read more

My toddler had been happily enrolled and just received her one-year milestone award earlier this month, so I was surprised when, the following week, her name was missing from the class chart. I was walked up front to inquire because our previous coach Emily wouldn't arrogantly explain anything and things seemed messy with the new coach leaving and the class not having someone official yet so I was understanding but hindsight I should've checked her for this rushed arrogant behavior-l almost like her job stresses her- she then hands me over to the front with this attitude and with my energetic little one confused and wondering why she wasn't joining her friends. The staff member I was handed to, Jennifer, didn't seem eager to help, and I had to push a bit to get clarity while also managing my toddler. I'm thinking Emily probably made some type of signal because the attendant was very set in not trying to help from the start. After some back and forth of me asking she discovered that a payment didn't process because of a misspelled name/email in their system-so I was never notified and my daughter was removed from the program. Despite this being a system error, we were offered to be placed 8th on the waitlist, meaning she'll likely miss out on the entire summer session. While I understood the system error, I was taken aback by the lack of empathy or effort in resolving it. I was given the name and number of a supervisor, Tabby, and despite leaving a message through my husband who I felt maybe would be dealt with more compassion from ladies, weeks ago, we never received a call back. I even followed up again after a mom friend who originally referred us encouraged me to advocate for my child. During the follow-up, another staff member who answered at Lake Forest was more understanding and sympathetic, even pointing out that Jennifer was a floor supervisor herself-which confused me since she escalated it to someone else. I left my name and number again, but still no response. I'm not looking for special treatment-just communication, understanding, and a fair resolution for an error that wasn't on our end. It's disappointing to feel ignored, especially when this place had been such a positive space for my child up until now. Did Emily and Jennifer have something against us? Confused and hurt by the silence and corrupt politics or discrimination to be honest. And if it's a misunderstanding then they know where to reach me to resolve narratives if not correct errors. read more

For starters, the gym smelled terrible. This place is not only dirty (rodent droppings on window sill) but the front desk as well as the coaches can be rude. By reading the other comments I can see this isn't the first time. I read a few comments of people attending make up classes when I spoke to the front desk they said they don't offer make up classes. I feel my child and I were discriminated. My child had missed a few classes due to illness. And they did not allow make up classes. They just wanted a payment. Unfortunately, since we moved here we haven't found a gym for my child and this was basically my only option that worked with our schedule. We had a trial class today and WHYYY are teenagers coaching 3 year olds? The amount of times the coaches snapped at my daughter for not doing something correctly is unacceptable. This is an overdue review now that we live in Tulsa, OK My daughter, Ciara, always looked forward going to her 3:30 gym class with Maggy. During the warm ups it starts out with a large group of kids and then they get divided up by age/experience. Fortunately there were only 4-5 kids in the class so each child received personalized coaching. Her favorite part was the 5 minute foam pit the kids get to jump in towards the end of class...she wished it happened each time, but sometimes they ended up running out of time. They only pay attention to kids who are already motivated (how many 3 year olds are?). You could actually see how impatient they were. If your child is easily distracted, shy, or scared they will just ignore them and move on to other kids. If you are going to offer classes to kids of this age you should have much more patience and be more engaging to make things fun. Definitely do not recommend it. read more

If your child doesn't "behave" in class, they have them sit out for 10 mins or so. We pay for classes here, we don't pay for our children to sit out. This is very disappointing. My child NEVER misses because they don't give makeup. For them to have them child sit out, it's messed up. They're kids, they not robots. She said weren't trying to put your money in the garbage by sitting him out, but that's what they did. Supposedly this isn't the first that he has played around during class. Never did I got notified before!!! Their first thought is to sit them out. This isn't a public school or home so they can just sit for time to pass. They need to come up with a better way to "disciple." or make the classes smaller so the kids pay attention and not pay around. The classes are too big. The coaches come and go. My child has had a sub for the past 8 months. The packing lot is so crowded. You have a line of 8+ cars waiting for a parking spot. So disappointing how they just sat my child out. read more

There is 0 client retention in this facility, their number 1 customers are the kids therefore they should prioritize the safety and well being of the kids. I had enrolled my 1st kid for about 2years here - she had fun in a couple of sessions - however the coaches were a bit lacking on engagement. I am sure the young ladies themselves are athletes or ones an athlete but not really trained to be a teacher. I was cool with it I can give chances. I then had my 2nd kid and fast forward to 1 year into the pandemic - I decided to get the kids out and about and attended their open gym event. As other COVID related comments here, I totally agree with them. It seemed like there was no pandemic for them. Anyhow, my biggest issue was at that time -- I wish I have known better and have observed - during open gym the floor was not manned enough to guide kids on how to use their equipment, so in other words it is up to the clueless parents to watch over their own kids. In my situation, there was 2 of them running and trying out stuff in different directions!! So BEWARE for moms and dads that has multiple kids, just don't bring them by yourselves as you will be on your own. The next thing you know, 10min in open play your other kid will be just walking towards you with a broken arm!! that's what happened to me and my poor daughter, no staff on the floor noticed nor cared! We went in the front and asked for help, though the lady was kind enough to give us icepack the staff really didnt know what to do in that situation - they didnt know where the closest clinic/er/hospital is -- I have to fend for myself and drove my baby girl to CHOC ER from Tustin. For injury risk sports like this, I would have expected they are more prepared and knowledgeable. Long story short, BE AWARE bringing kids to open play. you need o be vigilant on your own -- they would not be responsible in any accidents hence parents need to sign that waiver - no insurance to back their clients. I get it it's business first for them! Forget about kids breaking their bones, your on your own. So if you are okay with this kind of business, go ahead and support them. But just be aware or ask first what are their accident policy before enrolling. Is there coverage and such? I should have asked this before, I am for sure wiser now. We are lucky enough my daughter only had a fracture - but the 6months in cast and recovery was enough to traumatized my daughter and the whole family. I was in the parent toddler program with my twins and one one occasion my kids were walking back from the bathroom to their class and I was right behind them. The manager decided to give me a rude talk about safety issues without giving me a chance to explain. I responded saying that we are walking back from the bathroom. On another occasion, I took one of my twins to the bathroom and the other was in the class with the teacher and somehow decided to wander away even though the teacher was present and the manager was "watching" for safety issues. I come back and I get another talk from 2 people including the same manager right away. I wish the relationship between the management was more collaborative with a tone of how can I help? Versus making an already stressed out parent feel attacked. After the class I tried to talk to the manager explaining the circumstances and the situation and that it's disrespectful to get shamed in front of other parents. I also said that if we are a problem, I don't mind pulling my 3 kids out. He responded saying then pull them out. I went ahead and pulled them out. I am glad I am no longer supporting a business that is not empathetic towards a parent that is trying their best. The drawback of having employees who are not themselves parents and have no idea what they are talking about. I will take my kids and my business elsewhere. read more

They seem to have "cookie cutter" training here. They don't train off of gymnast capability, rather stick to a strict guideline making all the girls fit into the same box. My daughter tried out here fresh out of a cast, so of course her arms/bars were weak. They said they would only accept her if she joined a lower level. Respectfully we declined and went to a gym that was willing to get her arm strength back up and take her at the level she was at. My daughter finished the season on the State team at Regionals & beat every girl at wildfire. Needless to say, she wouldn't have been able to do that had we stuck with their advice/training. My 4-year-old was ridiculed, laughed at, and mocked by two of the high school-age-looking instructors. Fortunately, my daughter had no clue of this going on, neither did I until noticed one of them laughing when my daughter fell on her face and was crying for comfort (she is 4, they still need TLC), I got this on video by mistake. Not to mention the blank lifeless face of emotion this newer instructor had with these kids, it was just an easy paycheck to her, you could tell as she counted the minuets until she was off. Then later on that day at the end they were playing duck duck goose for some reason, and my daughter went to grab the newer instructor's hand and she looked down and saw it was my child and immediately pulled back her hand to hold another little girl's hand. I then started paying more attention the next week as my heart hurt for my child, who thankfully has never experienced this kind of hate before especially from two older girls she could view as role models. The next week we returned and as I was walking in with my daughter and my 3-month-old, I noticed them making rude comments annoyed that my daughter and I showed up, laughing at us and saying things beneath their breath. I then realized it wasn't just the new instructor but her current one for the past month (they seem to go through teachers a lot as my daughter has been here for almost 10 months and this was her 5th teacher). Anyway, fast forward to the warm-up, I love watching my daughter, so I try to watch her as much as possible. The new instructor noticed me and alerted the other instructor, leading to more mockery and laughter. Their behavior reminded me of high school drama and made me uncomfortable as a father just trying to support his child. I was there to watch my 4-year-old grow in her skills which makes me swell with pride as a father. They act extremely annoyed when I watch and am attentive to what my daughter is doing, a little weird but more normal when you don't have conversation skills which is what they both lacked as i never once got feedback for my little girl. Then later on I watched them get on the tall balance beam and help each little girl all the way across. My daughter was the only girl ignored and not supervised as she walked across twice alone, and I couldn't help but feel they wanted her to fall and get hurt because they like to laugh at her in pain. The instructor's face of my daughter was of straight disgust in the video and noticed me recording and immediately went to tell the newer instructor what I am doing and laughed, extremely unprofessional. As a father, this broke my heart, and I decided not to confront the child acting instructors' who were maliciously targeting my daughter and possibly others. Instead, my wife and I agreed she should address the issue. She discussed the incidents, supported by video evidence, with the manager. The manager confirmed the unacceptable behavior and offered to move our daughter to a Friday class, stating the offenders would be written up, though we are unsure if any action was taken. We have called multiple times for updates, without success. The gymnastics center's response, likely driven by a desire to retain instructors, was inadequate. We feel uncomfortable keeping our kind-hearted daughter in an environment where such behavior might persist. She loves her instructors and is unaware of the situation, and we want to protect her innocence and confidence. Those responsible should not be teaching children. As a current and serving 14-year Active-Duty member who supported the Special Warfare community, this treatment is unacceptable. We will find a new place that will genuinely care for our daughter. read more

We were clients during the shut down with covid. Tuition was no refunded and they tried everything to make it difficult to do any "make up lessons". Our boys did summer camp this week and are signed up for next week. The camp is boring and they boys are having a terrible time. We tried to withdraw next week but they won't refund or bend their policies when children are not enjoying their experience. So who are you in business ... for your clients? Apparently not. BEWARE. Our child has attended gymnastics for over 2 years at this facility. After the COVID lockdown/reopening we decided to return after being reassured that the facility was in compliance with state mandates/recommendations. At first we were very pleased, however we noticed over the last few weeks they've started to lighten up on their policies. It first began with not seeing the facility disinfected/cleaned during sessions (both parent area and gym floor). Then last week was the final straw. While watching our child, we noticed 3 instructors without masks (1 under their chin, 1 with a mask hanging off their ear and 1 without a mask at all). I went to speak to the front desk (who's behind a plexiglas screen) staff member. I was told their policy was instructors don't need to wear masks unless they are less than 1 foot from the children or spotting them. I asked to speak with the manager since this is not the state mandate/policy, especially since a) the facility is indoors and 2) most importantly, the children are unmasked as well. After the policy was reiterated to me I asked for the form to unenroll my child. We will not be returning. I understand the impact COVID has had on all businesses, but this is not the time to lighten up on your cleaning protocols especially as areas of the county and world start to see a resurgence. I'm not ok with a business putting children and instructors at risk! The risk of exposure is too great to continue to attend or support Wildfire. read more

After attending classes for a few months I am surprised at how little interaction the staff and coaches have with the parents and kids. The front desk staff are unfriendly and at times rude, the coaches are inattentive and don't seem to be actively coaching or getting to know the kids. What is most unsettling and unsafe is that the staff don't know the kids at all. Before class a few weeks ago we saw little girl crying because she couldn't find her mom so we took her to the front desk and the staff said they didn't know her or who her mom was, they also didn't try to help her find her mother. My kids and I ended up staying with her until she could locate her mom so she didn't feel abandoned. This gym is very transactional, pay your money, go to class and leave. It's not a warm or friendly environment, nor is it a good place for kids to actually learn and grow their skill set. read more

Manager/Owner - why do you allow your coaches to wear shoes in the same area where young children are expected to go barefoot or wear socks. I do not understand it. I see a good percentage of the parents, with enough sense, to voluntarily remove their shoes. You know why? Because it is common sense and most places require it. These parents, I promise you, are thinking exactly the same as me. Why not set a better example starting with your own coaches. They are potentially bringing in all sorts of bad things on their shoes (feces, germs, viruses, staph, etc) onto the mats where our kids put their bare hands and feet. It's a matter of hygiene and caring about our kids and as simple as a sign and some enforcement. Renewal for us is a no unless we feel like the facility is clean. read more

What a disappointment. We came in for a trial class a few days after the California indoor mask mandate was reinstated due to a spike in cases. None of the administrators in the front office were wearing masks and I'd estimate 80-90% of all the students and teachers were not wearing masks either. I also asked if they were requiring proof of vaccination for those not wearing masks and they said no. They also don't require teachers to get vaccinated. Unreal. I explicitly asked if they were choosing to ignore the current indoor mask mandate and the manager responded Yes! It's unbelievably irresponsible and unsafe. We will never return. This selfish behavior is why we are still dealing with COVID. read more

We went here to take my daughters to open play at the Tustin location and it was the worst experience ever. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I asked the lady for her name so I could talk to the manager but she wouldn't give it to me so I'll just describe what she looks like: she is a larger build Latina woman with glasses who had a major attitude problem the moment we came into the building along with a younger Latina woman who was working side by side to her and just laughing at the situation. We came early to check in and fill out the wavier since it was our first time. We were twenty minutes early (11:40am) and they said we had to wait another 10-15 minutes to start the process since open play is from 12pm-1pm, we said ok- no problem so we waited and filled out the waiver in the meantime. When they begin the process just before noon- waiver was complete and I handed my card for them to take payment, then they tell me how their payment system is down and they'll need to hold on to my debt card for one hour and they'll call their other location in Lake Forest to make the payment. I asked them to please just call them right then and there to make the payment in front of me so I could take my card back in my possession afterwards but they told me no that they have to hold on to my card for the hour and make the payment at the end of the hour. I told them that sounds super weird and that I don't feel comfortable with leaving my card with them for an hour that I have had my identity jeopardized and it just sounds very shady how they have to do it that way and it didn't make me feel comfortable so I told her no to that and asked if they accept cash, she said yeah. I told her I would be back in 10-15 minutes that I would go get cash then to please hold my daughters spots since we were the first one there anyway. I come back and they say we can't accept your daughters at this time as we are at our maximum kids of 70 for the open play day. I told her we were the first one there for open play and it's not my problem their payment system wasn't working properly, and I had to get cash...her reply back was it's not my problem that you won't let me hold on to your credit card for one hour. My thought is... what the heck?! That's not even normal...super disappointing with such a horrible first experience with this company and their "customer service". We will be looking for a nicer and better gymnastics place for my girls who isn't shady and rude! read more

The camp and the staff are phenomenal! This is the first time I have both kids unanimously agreeing that they love a program I've enrolled both of them in, and they even asked to come back. If I had to give constructive feedback, I would say that one of the ladies at the front desk can appear a bit unfriendly and almost rude, but she's the exception. I saw another review that said they had bad customer service when she called - unfortunately, that was true for me as well. Maybe it's just the same person. The coaches are caring and positive and enthusiastic. They're also gentle with kids who are first time campers - I saw them holding and comforting kids the very first day of camp, and they start the younger ones with irresistibly fun activities (that day it was the trampoline) to help the transition. My 5 year old, who generally does not like to be gone from home for a full day, is enjoying the 6 hour gymnastics camp. I also have my 3.5 year old. I was worried about her because she's so young, but she's had no issues there and comes home happy everyday. If they ran a full time gymnastics daycare, we would totally sign up for it! The prices are fair for the quality of instruction and caring staff. read more

This review is for the Boys Academy 1 and tumbling. My son would tell you after doing gymnastics for 2 years he was forced to start in this class because they "didn't have room in the higher classes". He said his instructor was mean. I will say from watching this class for 6 months, none of the kids progress, it's more like play time at a jump house with a formal warm up. None of the fundamentals are taught. In a 75 minute class, there was probably 10 min warm up, 25 minutes standing around waiting for other kids, 20 minutes of pushing a blue mat across the floor (this is a useless skill in gymnastics), 10 minutes listening to instruction on how to hit a basic jump box and a 10 minute water break. We tried the tumbling class and asking the office to move him up, I even offered to pay for private lessons to train and the office was very difficult to deal with. This may have been a great gym to train in 10 years ago but I would recommend staying away if you're serious about wanting to learn. They also do not have a competitive boys team and seem to play favorites with class availability. read more

We had our toddler daughter here during the lull of Covid during 2021. We should have been more informed about their Covid policies, but rest assured they have NONE. We kept her in for a couple months bc her coach was vaccinated (which we confirmed) and our daughter really enjoyed the class, but were shocked at their lax health policies. No mask enforcement within the gym, maybe 10% of coaches wore them. Clearly a top down problem from management and whoever runs this poor excuse for a gym. When we finally wanted the policies clarified, the front desk actually responded with, "oh yeah, we only put the sign up about masks for the health department." This was during the summer of 2021, vaccines were plentiful and any responsible business working with kids had clear policies to protect the safety of the kids/families. Unfortunately our daughters coach left for college, we checked with the next teen/young adult coach, her response to vaccine was "oh no, not for me." Clearly the owner and the staff here don't realize what goes on outside of their gym, and don't care to play their part. We started in the lake forest facility with our older daughter, that facility is soooooo much cleaner than Tustin. We were very disappointed in the smell that permeated this facility. Great staff very friendly, a little pricey but the bonus classes help. Its stinky and the equipment and mats look a bit worn. The main thing is my kids classes are well over an hour and there is no working wifi. They claim to have two connections, but they don't work. I'm sorry please get WIFI for your paying customers. read more

Love this place. My kids enjoy every moment here. They have tons of fun and the teachers are nice.
