    FRESAS con crema

My all time favorite place to stop by for cultural desserts! I always get FRESAS CON CREMA, they are absolutely AMAZING. They have soooo much to chose from, not only desserts but food items as well.

I went and I ordered this its called chicharrón preparado I ask for no tomato and a little bit of chilie The man said OK I asked for a torta The man replied we don't serve any more food at this time it was 6:30 pm but he gave me the chicharrón so is that not food is this not a food establishment I asked for a raspado he gave it to me I paid and came home I live down the st so I looked at my chicharrón and it has tomato and avocado the few little pieces are turning black and it has a lot of Chile If they were going to serve in a bad mood they could have said something or say they don't have any more food at this time they should post it somewhere I could've gone elsewhere and not have to throw my food money away

    Perfect on a hot day!

This place is amazing. It's like a TJ street food place. Bacon wrapped hot dogs, fresh juices, fruits with lime and chile... the list goes on. It's really clean inside and the staff are pretty cool. They don't speak english, but no worries, all the stuff they serve is on pictured signs on the wall. Get it all!

I'm updating my review based on the last few times I've came here. I was enjoying this little facility and the things they have to offer like, bacon wrapped hot dogs, tortas, cueritos, fresas con crema, but I was really enjoying their tasty raspados. I came one day on a hot afternoon. I could taste the cold, delicious raspado as I was pulling into the parking lot. I walked up to the door and it was locked! Huh??? I glanced at the business hours and I confirmed it should have been opened. Since I was craving a raspado I was determined to find one so I headed over to "El Raspadito" on Van Buren and Arlington. I'm glad I did, their raspados were much better than this place, only they don't serve food. 2 DAYS LATER: I had lunch across the street from here and wanted a raspado so I gave in and brought a couple of friends that I had lunch with. The raspados were good like before, but not like "El Raspadito." I asked the girl behind the counter why they were closed unexpectedly earlier in the week and she responded (in Spanish) with, "hmmmm I don't know, I think we had the day off." WTF? Uhhhh okay. I'm sure I'll come back to this place eventually but it won't be my first choice any longer.

Location is near Mission Inn on Main Street. Price is on the higher end so plan to pay an average of $30/person. The only thing that was a bummer for us was the loud music for lunch hour experience. The music was loud and made me think it would be best for a club atmosphere? Maybe it was just me but I felt anxiety eating because the music was so upbeat and loud. Music is a big part of the eating experience. I know some people may be fine with it. For example, we had breakfast at Tio's Taco and the music was spot on for the dining experience.

The meal started off strong with their chips and salsa--super fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the chicken fajitas. While they were cooked properly, I wish they had a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavor. My wife had the enchiladas divorciadas, which were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, the filling was a bit cool. She probably should have sent it back, but since we were in a hurry, we didn't bother. On the positive side, my daughter had the carne asada burrito, and she said it was excellent. Service started off great with our younger male waiter being very attentive at first, but it slowed down significantly as our meal went on. By the end of our visit, I actually had to go up to the register to ask to pay. It was lunch time, and it wasn't that busy, so this felt a bit out of the ordinary. Despite the hiccups, I'm willing to give Morena's Mexican Cuisine another try, as it may have just been an off day. The chips and salsa, along with my daughter's burrito, showed that they definitely have what it takes to impress. I'll reserve final judgment after my next visit!

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

First time coming to the restaurant for all of us. The ambience was cool and I liked the fact that they made the tortillas fresh. The food was cool I guess. My grandmother got the chicken fajitas but there were no bell peppers with it, just onions. The tamale was mid. My Dad and myself ordered a basic bean and cheese burrito. I did not like the fact that it wasn't mentioned that the beans are made with bacon until AFTER we received our food! My dad doesn't eat meat and the rice is made with chicken as well. The server did bring him something else but this needs to be stated on the menu or upon ordering! We were sat right next to where they made the tortillas and can see them being made since they had glass windows around it. However, there was one gentleman that was making tortillas who was on his cell phone texting or whatever CONSTANTLY at the same time while doing this. He had a glove on one hand and no glove on the other, and was touching the tortilla dough.....We all know how dirty a cell phone is! And what made it worse is at one point he itched the inside of his nose with his finger, and didn't even wash his hands or have gloves on after that. Definitely made my stomach turn and what caused me to go and write this review. I suggest a camera be placed at the tortilla station, add the notes about bacon in the beans and chicken in the rice, and add bell peppers to the fajitas. Also, maybe give the option of meatless beans and rice for the non-meat eaters
