Very generic. I purchased a raspado de nuez, torta de milanesa and esquite. The raspado tasted genetic and was not well balanced, it had very little of the flavor syrup and was overflowing w ice. It needed more flavor syrup to evenly mix w the ice. I slurped about 4-5 times and I ended up w a full cup of only ice. Disappointing. And the raspado had a regular straw, it was clogging! The torta too was disappointing, the milanesa tasted like it was reheated from a couple days prior. It had an oily aftertaste, as if the cook put it in the oil prematurely, when it was not hot enough. And the esquite was so thick and dense. The elote was dry, they did not serve it w its broth. & They literally topped it w a big scoop of mayo and cheese. There was no room to stir it. I really wanted to love this place but nahhh! Service was decent. The man helping me was nice and there were no issues w my order. I just disliked these items. read more

This place is amazing. It's like a TJ street food place. Bacon wrapped hot dogs, fresh juices, fruits with lime and chile... the list goes on. It's really clean inside and the staff are pretty cool. I'm updating my review based on the last few times I've came here. I was enjoying this little facility and the things they have to offer like, bacon wrapped hot dogs, tortas, cueritos, fresas con crema, but I was really enjoying their tasty raspados. I came one day on a hot afternoon. I could taste the cold, delicious raspado as I was pulling into the parking lot. I walked up to the door and it was locked! Huh??? I glanced at the business hours and I confirmed it should have been opened. Since I was craving a raspado I was determined to find one so I headed over to "El Raspadito" on Van Buren and Arlington. I'm glad I did, their raspados were much better than this place, only they don't serve food. 2 DAYS LATER: I had lunch across the street from here and wanted a raspado so I gave in and brought a couple of friends that I had lunch with. The raspados were good like before, but not like "El Raspadito." I asked the girl behind the counter why they were closed unexpectedly earlier in the week and she responded (in Spanish) with, "hmmmm I don't know, I think we had the day off." WTF? Uhhhh okay. I'm sure I'll come back to this place eventually but it won't be my first choice any longer. read more

I've been coming here for years for their Agua de fresa. It is the best agua de fresa I have ever it had. Every time I drink that agua I feel like I am having a five gum experience ain't gonna lie. I've had some of their other stuff, which is also not bad just don't expect any fancyass presentation. I really like their Nuez raspado it is milky and refreshing. Ok, we used to love this place..BUT it's kinda ridiculous now. The nacho chips are stale and the cheese is overly watery, the fresas con creama tasted old, but worst of all..the cacauates loco for $6 gave you nothing but the damn peanuts in Clamato and Chile. No chaca chacas, no jicama, nothing! $6!!!! For $1 worth of crap. Super disappointing. We will not be returning. They got crazy with their prices. Sad. read more

PROS: The drinks taste genuine and all of the ingredients are used the right way. I've never gotten something here that had too much of anything when it came to the diablitos or monjitas. Their churros are delicious and taste like genuine Mexican churros. Forget about that Costco churro that's mentioned at the bottom. Besides, Un Mundo de Sabor sells them at 5 for $2.00! Their aguas fresca's are made with real fruit, but it kinda sucks that they only sell strawberry, pineapple, and lemon. Nonetheless, its only $2.50 for a large which is a dollar cheaper than other places that sell drinks made from scratch. And they greet you as soon as you walk in. Also, I noticed there's no tax charge. CONS: There are too much cueritos (pig skins) on the Takilocos. If you ever get any kind of "loco" style munchies make sure you tell them to kick it down with the cueritos or you will feel sick if you eat them all. Also, it kind of bugs me that they want to take your order as soon as you walk in the door and won't ask you if you need some time to look at their menu first. OVERALL: This place is delicious. Their service is great and I understand that they're just really attentive at their work. I have been lucky to not see any attitudes from them yet but I'm not too concerned for it since I mostly go for their drinks. read more

Really good and fresh. Small place and lots to look at. They sell lots of treats that include corn, strawberries and crème, nachos, shaved ice and drinks. They show you many pictures of their products. But, it was hard to see prices. I did not see any or I need to get better glasses. There was a few prices for some items like churros. Update on my last review, this place is just not doing its best. The food and snacks are overpriced , the place is grungy looking, and the lady and her family that work there are so rude. If you are going to spend that much money just go to la Michoacana or honestly ANYWHERE else but here. Atleast that way you will actually enjoy your snacks. read more

Horrible service! I have been here so many times but after yesterdays visit I won't be back. I purchased strawberries and cream and I asked for no granola and raisins. The woman returns and they have granola and raisins! I tell her that I asked for it without all of that and she just starts shaking her head and tells me "yeah but I already made them" I told her she could just scoop it out then she rolls her eyes at me and tells me that I'm going to have to wait 7 minutes for her to simply take a spoon and scoop out the top. After that I just asked for my money back and she practically threw it at me. I am a paying customer they aren't giving it out for free so why should I have to settle and accept her horrible attitude.
