I came in search of pizza.. and was deliciously surprised. Since I was out dining solo, a calzone made perfect sense; and behold. The menu is easy to navigate as your senses are overwhelmed by cheesydoughy awesomeness. The price is right, and portion size also spot-on. A variety of white quesos are avail and blended into each of the many different calzone selection options (i.e. mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, etc..). There are some arcade games and descent Flat Screen TVs along the wall, providing excellent pizza (er, calzone) eating ambiance. There's definitely some smoke action going on as the pizza (d'ough!) masters craft your creation for consuming ... a CAUTIONARY note to this regard, as mr. George Steinbrenner formerly of the NYY may haunt your soul subsequent to your visit, should you choose to soak yourself in calzone smoke for too long; ever in search for the source. My friend and I had ordered from dp dough earlier this week on Uber eats and the price was a little high ($15.55 for a medium sized bbq chicken calzone with tip) but understandable given current circumstances. The calzone smelled amazing out of the box but the taste was decent at best. The chicken was bland and the mozzarella wasn't fully melted. A couple hours after eating, my stomach started aching and I had thrown up what was left of the calzone, and reached out to my friend to let him know, and he had also thrown up. read more

Customer service was inadequate and very rude. We ordered our food 45 mins prior to pickup. No one acknowledged us at first then rudely said it's going into the oven and walked away. Meanwhile the other worker answered the phone to basically pick it up and hang up on the person calling without speaking to them. No one ever came back to see if we received our food or not. I've never written a review, but had to today. I'm in town for a wedding and after a long day of running around, I stopped in here to pick up a calzone before going back to my hotel. I came in around 7, got my food, took it to the hotel 10 minutes away, and it was pretty good considering it had cooled quite a bit in my air conditioned car. But I just woke up to the most horrendous stomach cramps and now I'm sitting on the toilet writing this review. Thank God the rehearsal isn't until late tomorrow otherwise I would be concerned with having stomach issues. If I could give zero stars I would. So I have had DP dough about six times now in the last two months and four out of six of those times have been absolutely miserable. There is always some miscommunication that has happened and I'm sure it's because everybody that works here is blazed out of their mind. Tonight, I ordered two construction calzones. They managed to get both of them wrong. After I nicely explained to the manager(I suppose? It was some blonde hippy) that I did not order cheese and showed her my receipt, she proceeded to tell me how it was my fault that there was cheese in my calzone and that I should've hit a no cheese button on their website. Um hello!? I tried explaining to this employee that you had to pay for cheese on your construction calzone but sadly she could not understand what I was saying. Again, probably the weed. Pretty good calzone. Friendly staff! Place was right next to our hotel. Did a Construction Zone where you pick your toppings. A little greasy but great flavor. Dough was ok. I feel I'm being very generous with two stars. As you walk in, the smoke of the cheap ingredients baking in the oven hit you in the face. As your breath is being taken away unwillingly you go to order your food. Selection is decent if you don't want an actual pizza. Fast forward to the workers and their rude demeanour, lack of help for the smallest of task. Make sure to basically wait in line again for anything like a water cup, sauce etc because apparently any other approach falls on deaf ears. I can live with that part unfortunately the calzones do not make up for the lack of service, which the product greatly reflects. To hear people say the pizza is great is like going back to my small town that has done nothing but digress further back in time and hear people tell me how they like it. Ignorance is not bliss in this case. Save yourself the experience and get a burrito from 7/11. But don't get too excited because if you are ordering after 11, it may be a while before you get a taste. I have been a very frequent costumer at dp dough since 2011. And even though when I place an order for delivery my food is consistently wrong I have continued to order from them because I love the calzones. Tonight when I called to complain about side sauces (that I paid for) not being inside my box I spoke to a manager named Donna L. She was very rude to me and told me that she was looking in my file and that I was a "frequent flyer" when it came to having my food wrong. And that there was no way that it could be wrong every time I called and complained. And she told me I should probably stop ordering from a place that messes up my order so often. instead of trying to fix the problem I was blamed. She also continued to hang up on me and my roommate and when my roommate went into the store to pick up the sauces that should have been inside the box to begin with he could hear Donna yelling in the back about the phone call. I can't believe a business would want their managers telling costumers not to order anymore. Dp dough really needs to learn costumer service. Very disappointed. Came here because it was open late. The calzone crust is not too thick and slightly crunchy. I liked that the calzone crust wan't too salty and helped balance out the cheesy filling. They also give you a side of marinara to dip your calzone. Downside is that my order took awhile, but I assume it's because they make their calzones from scratch. read more

I have ordered from here many times at work over the past few years. When they get it right, it's cheesy and delicious. This last time, they put sausage in half of the vegetarian calzone that I ordered, and also have charged me 4 times for a tip that I left back in October. I love this place. On a day when you need a warm cheesy bit of comfort food, this place hits the spot. The calzones are huge, big enough to share or save for another lunch or dinner. The staff is always very friendly and it is worth the wait, which is like 15 to 20 minutes. Seriously, how much quicker can you possibly expect a yummmy, made to order calzone to take any less time.
