I took my dog in for a rare disorder...no tests needed, he had the knowledge to diagnose the issue, treat it with meds and my dog came out of it normal! siberian X Malamute puppy (8months old puppy) my dog went into shock after Falling ill from Parvo or HGE they never had given any information on what was wrong with her, "for machine for testing was still processing". as I waited in emergency 25 minutes for signing in as they saw me with my dog in my hands, another 10 minutes to sign in and weigh. I finally got called in to place my dog in a waiting room on a non padded medical evaluation metal platform. assistant of the vet walks in and questions about cost quotes and off topic references to other clinics as for "their office was not 24/7 " and they said they would just hook her to an IV and forget about her and maybe only check in the mornings and even then it's to check around for opening. And trash" vet said. As he stated options of payments after I already agreed and payed. spent another 15 minutes going in and out their storage closet ICU. Vet picked my poor puppy up and "gave her. Medication he did not state or provide information about" he stated "I gave her a shot and she has medication for her condition. " that if I wanted to have him take her in it would be 900 for however long. it's sad to say that they only cared about money and it showed by the way he introduced his services on helping my dog like "premiums" . My dog was Standing and drinking water before I let The vet observe, after getting my puppy back she was near faint. After rejecting to pay 900 for his services to " hook my dog to an IV and leave for the weekend because of Easter" -his words not mine. I can't believe I forgot to post about the amazing Vet we have here locally! Dr. C in Anthony is one of the coolest vet I've met and his staff is beyond caring! We adopted a dog during the pandemic shutdown and I've only had cats so wasn't sure what to do. We were recommended this office by Loretta of Animal Rescue League. It's a bit chaotic at first because everybody kind of cues up there's no appointments you basically line up and put up your name and they call you. They take new patients and I saw a lot of people coming in for checkups. They were very kind and explained to me how it worked and I had the option of waiting so that my name will be called or chancing it and going somewhere else most people just kind of hung around the parking lot. They're very fast and efficient. They take social distancing very seriously and you can only come to the office if your name is called and there was also markers where you can stand outside. Once you get inside everything is disinfected and single use. My dog got her shots and tags updated. And they took care of basically everything it was amazing because I didn't know what to do. They even gave her her first chewable pill and guided me because I wasn't sure how to do so. I also opted to cut her nails and express her glands there. It was very fast and inexpensive! Dr. C actually comes out and makes sure everything is going well even though it was another vet on shift. The guys in the front office are so nice and all these questions and they were super patient answering them for me and especially about the medications. So what I found out was that they don't transfer prescriptions because the way that they keep their cost down is to equitably share it across the board so for optional services like fleas ticks meds. They keep it in the house so that way they don't raise costs on other things like surgeries and what not. I was pleased that they also did dental cleanings and we scheduled for them to put my dog to sleep and they were very clear on the instructions as to what to feed her before and what not to feed her the day of surgery. They also called me to confirm that we are still coming in because apparently spots are taken quickly. She was fine and little groggy but they took care of her and I was really happy that I found a great vet in El Paso. They already busy and popular but I figured to share in case anyone was looking for a good vet. They have really odd hours and I would recommend that you call them first before showing up. Updated review ... Dr. C's has its challenges with parking, lining up, and their overall "system". However, all of this goes out the window when you need to say goodbye to a beloved pet. In those tragic circumstances, they truly make everything all about you and your beloved pet. My wife and I went to Dr. C's for this reason because I felt a bit uncomfortable doing this at our regular vet for a variety of reasons. When I called to inquire, I was told that there was no wait for euthanasia after checking in. When arriving, they were so kind. No waiting outside, nothing. I was ushered into the waiting room to fill out the paperwork. Since our dogs (two elderly mini schnauzers that were declining fast) were nervous around other dogs, they allowed us to use the rear employee parking and brought our dogs in through the back. The receptionist suggested taking care of check-out before going to the exam room so that we could immediately leave after the procedure. We went to the exam room while they prepared our dogs with the catheters. I could tell that they were gentle in this process as they brought the dogs into the room without any distress. Dr. C himself administered the medicine. He was gentle and our beloved family members were released from their pain within seconds. He was calming, quick, and made it a point to allow us as much time as we needed before and after the procedure. They were compassionate, professional, and kind. They made one of the most painful, sad moments for my wife and I as painless for our babies and for us as possible. read more

Great experience! I went in as a walk-in for vaccinations, 2 dogs. Quite a few people and quite the wait. The staff was friendly and Dr. McGranahan was personable and a pleasure to work with, also apologetic for the wait with an acceptable explanation for our hour wait. It was worth it. They are the best. No appointments so you wait your turn. Very reasonable in their prices. Office staff are friendly.

We have been here twice now. The first time was for vaccines only and it was a walk-in. We had just got our new puppy and he needed his first set of shots. We were recommended Dr. C's through a animal shelter group on fb. Upon arriving we saw a line already outside. We came when the workers lunch was just about to end. We got signed up and waited to be called. They called our puppies name and my husband took our puppy inside. My husband said it was such a fast process. He was in and out within 10 minutes! They gave us a vaccination card and we were told to come back a month later for follow up vaccines. Today we came back and chose to go earlier. We arrived around 1020am. Signed in and they called us pretty fast this time. Again, in and out. Gave us the rabbies tag right there and we also did the exam so we can get the green light for neutering next time. Dr. said the exam is required first before the neutering appt. Great place and the staff is super nice and the Dr. is really good. It is a little fast paced and not everyone likes that , so just something to think about, for me it's great! Never had issues and I will update after the neuter appt. read more

I've been here several times this year with my four dogs and even came along with my nephew when he had to put his beloved beagle down after 16 years. The staff is professional, efficient, and most importantly competent and kind. When we were putting my nephews dog down, they allowed us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes and were very patient. I've taken my dogs here for annual vaccines, teeth cleaning, and even sick exams. All have gone smoothly and their pricing is extremely reasonable. They never do unnecessary procedures and I trust them explicitly. It's not the closest vet to my home, but it's worth the drive! read more

It truly and deeply saddens me to have to have to write this. I am completely in shock at the treatment I have received at not one visit but my last 2. The staff's customer service has been shocking and bordering on rude. The staff lie to cover up mistakes they make, blame the customers and never come up with a solution. Just advise the client to call back. One occasion my dog that had surgery was just  dropped in my lap. Clients come to you for help with pets they love and should not be treated in the manner that has been happening. I have set up 2 appointments for surgeries for my dogs and both times I have been treated poorly and lied too. It saddens me that I have to go to another clinic. read more

I had such a good experience with this animal clinic. Yes, we had to wait a while to be seen by the dr., but that is what you'd expect with a walk in clinic. Once we were taken in to a treatment room, it was not a long wait; most of the waiting is done in your car, thankfully. Staff was friendly and welcoming, the assistants were very involved. I think the office is run very efficiently, with a caring and professional standard. I am so happy to have found them, and will use them in the future, even though I have to drive from Las Cruces. read more

I had very high regards of this clinic until just recently. Our cat has been experiencing random illnesses/infections this year, each time we took him to be seen here, he was given antibiotics, and sent on his way. It took me awhile to realize they were just treating what they believed was an infection, but never actually SAID what type of infection it probably was. In May, his neck swelled up horrible and Dr Hannah Martin stated it was a blocked salivary gland, gave him antibiotics, and sent him home. He did not get better, so back he went. She again insisted it was a salivary issue, gave a stronger medicine, and sent him home. He did get better after this. Fast forward to last week, and he's basically dying in my arms. I take him to be seen, was finally offered bloodwork, and told he was extremely anemic and needed a transfusion, which was 'beyond their resources'. No other tests were offered to find the cause, because again, 'beyond our resources'. At this point we were fed up with this office so we took him to Crossroads clinic, where a very kind vet was determined to get to the bottom of this. It took ONE TEST to find out he has leukemia, and that the swollen 'salivary gland' was actually a lymph node. If we had known this at the time, we could've started treatment. Not to mention, we were talked out of a Leukemia vaccine by this office when he was a kitten because they're 'only for outside cats'. Overall I feel this clinic, while made up of a decent staff, fell short to provide adequate care, by Dr Martin especially. Our cat is crossing the bridge on Thursday. read more

Today I brought my dog Gigi to Dr Caraballo Animal Hospital and it was truly the best and most thorough vet appt we have ever had. He is extremely friendly and willingly answers all questions. My dog has been suffering from multiple UTI like illnesses and Dr Caraballo was the first doctor to truly look for the underlying problem. I took my cat for a check up. She needed her teeth cleaned. So 2 weeks later I took her. I picked her up at 1,45 pm they told me they did the cleaning for 300.00 and she was in renal faliure.she died a week later.why was I not told to not clean her teeth and took my money. Would not recommend this vet office at all. I had an appointment to get a dog neutered. They wrote down the wrong number so when they tried to confirm my appointment the day ahead they couldn't. I showed up for my appointment and was turned away. The lady said they tried to call me three times and asked me my number again. She confirmed that they had the wrong number. I understand for a business aspect replacing my appointment but I had called later as a concerned client to speak with the manager in hopes of making a change to their booking policy so it wouldn't happen to anyone else. The manager instead of trying to hear my concerns told me that they don't have caller ID and that she was told by a staff member that the voice mail had my name. This is where I got upset because my phone number is under my husband's name and my voicemail does Not have my name. It's the generic voice mail with only the number. The manager instead of taking my concerns tried to blow me off. I can't say anything about the actual vet because I had no contact with him but I can say the office staff is beyond terrible. read more
