Despite being an "ideal" candidate (i.e., light skin/dark hair) for laser hair removal, 13 sessions isn't enough at this place. Even the last tech that did the treatment told me that it was really weird that I have as much hair left as I do. The last session, the tech took her time and I'm already seeing better results. Too bad for the other 12 appointments were with techs that were not as conscientious. They never answer the phone. Emails never get responses. The appointments they schedule are often for the wrong service, but they will adjust on arrival at least. I'll finish what I've already purchased, but I'm going to switch to another provider to finish out my hair removal and other treatments. Such a shame too because their prices are better than other places, but you get what you pay for. read more

Had one of the most humiliating and offensive experiences. I cannot believe that a place that suppose to help women feel better with their better is having a receptionist with such a horrible attitude and costumer service. I purchased a Groupon for a Dr laser. After confirming over the phone that the package the I purchased covers the required area I went to my meeting at the clinic. That was my first experience with this kind of treatment and I I had one of the most humiliating experiences with Dr laser, which at the end of it I haven't even got any treatment done. When I got to the clinic the lady at the reception was trying to upscale my purchase by telling me that the information that I got over the phone was incorrect and that in order to get the treatment I want I need to purchase a package that cost 400$ (the original price I paid was 89$) I told her that since I already advise with friends that did the same treatment and package before, I prefer to continue with the same package and in case it does not work I will upgrade. After that, she had redeemed my Groupon, answered a lot of my personal information and I went to the laser room. Basically, I was going with one of the most humiliating experience I had in my life At the end of it, the women in the reception (I prefer not to mention her name ) was talking to me in such a rude way, accusing me with different things, I could not bear this kind of attitude and behavior on such a personal treatment and left the clinic. read more

All the girls behind the receptionist desk are very nice and helpful, they always help me find a good appointment date with my weird schedule. Today I did my second facial and I was very happy with the result. I remember my first facial there wasn't as good as today. Paula made me feel so relaxed and she didn't keep pushing me to purchase their product. I can barely afford all of the packages I bought but I had some acne problems so I thought they could help. The place is zen and calm from the moment you walk into the entry way. I ended up with an appointment with Leticia, who is super nice and knows exactly what she's doing, which is important. I was worried the laser would be excruciatingly painful, and while it wasn't pleasant, it only took her about 5 minutes. Totally doable. I had a Spabro coupon for this place, which basically meant I was paying about $35 for one laser hair removal and a laser skin rejuvenation. Obviously this seemed to good to be true. I was very, very scared of having this done; I had never even had a facial before so the idea of someone going all Marvin the Martian ray gun on my face was a little frightening. However, I have some sun damage that I am fed up with so I decided to give it a shot. Brigitte (I could be spelling that wrong) was very understanding about my fears and managed to calm me without the assistance of pharmaceuticals. She explained the process and warned me every time she was going to laser me. Joseph, the president, seemed genuinely interested in helping me get rid of my sun damage. At first I was wary since he's a really good looking guy I figured he was just there to sweet talk me into blowing a few thousand bucks, but as it turns out he really wants people to be happy with their results. He seems dedicated to making sure people don't walk out of dr LASER complaining that they still have sunspots and giant pores and acne scars, which really, is how people should run a business. So I had my first treatment, and I ran into absolutely no problems. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I will update this in a few months in terms of my results. If my sun damage is gone I will somehow have to give this place a 6th star, I'm not sure how that will work. read more

I was given a gift certificate for a Skin Rejuvenation Laser treatment and a session for hair removal. So far I have just done the Skin Rejuv Laser treatment and I am so happy with the results. Sheila, my nurse, was very responsive when she was applying the laser since my skin is sensitive. I felt very comfortable with her relaxing me. Just finished my package of 3 Skin Pen treatments. I won't attempt to explain what it is and what it does. You can google Skin Pen, Collagen Induction Therapy, or micro needling to learn about the treatment. What I can say is it works. My lip lines are almost completely gone, and the rest of my face is plump with new collagen. I was nervous about needles in my face, but Carol, my esthetician put me right at ease. She is professional, calm, reassuring, experienced and knowledgable. Yesterday, I was able to visit the location in Santa Monica. The facility was clean, well-organized, had friendly staff, and the ambiance was great! As a Christmas present, my boyfriend bought me a laser hair removal treatment in Beverly Hills in 2011. I was given eight treatments altogether for the first set. However, I was not consistent and my perianal hairs (those little suckers!) did not respond well. So, my boyfriend bought me another set of treatment last Christmas. I have to say I am very particular who does the laser procedure because, first, I don't want to get burned, second, I want it to be done correctly, and lastly, I have to feel confortable with the technician. Dr. Laser had a few technicians in Beverly Hills, and I met Brigitte there. She thoroughly explained the procedure and advised me how consistency is important. She is knowledgeable, gentle (without her laser guns), and has great customer service skill! Without a doubt, I highly recommend Dr. Laser. So today was my first experience with Dr. Lazer today. However, it was 1hr away from me so I was stuck in traffic. I called in to tell them this, and they told me whatever time I get here we can start, but then once in got there, the front desk girls told me that if I'm 30mins late, I can't received the facial anymore. I got annoyed for a second since I did drive an hour to get here to do a 30mins facial, and it was ok with me. But them telling me this just after I got there was very upsetting. In 2007-2008 I went to dr Laser every 6 weeks for Laser Hair Removal on my legs. I noticed a difference, but wanted to continue for a entire year. After my last appointment they told me I was able to come for one following session for free. I thought they were very nice and friendly. Always able to accommodate me on the fly or change my apt. For the actual treatment: Man does it hurt! Hurts like hell even though they put numb cream/ice packs/or whatever. Beauty is pain and pain is beauty. This is worth it, worth it, worth. Since the treatments over 4 years ago I can attest that this is the most important beauty treatment you should consider. Why live your life dealing with it? I think if you can afford to have it done, you should do it. Yes I would recommend dr Laser to you. I would also love to try tattoo removal from there. Cheers read more

I really love Dr. Laser. I've been coming to this location for two years, and the quality of the service, as well as the cleanliness of the place, have always been great. I first came to Dr. Laser while looking for a tattoo removal place. The manager at the front desk offered me a very good deal, and I started the treatments. The nurse has always been on time, and I never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Tattoo removal is definitively painful, but the personnel at Dr. laser is very nice and I've always felt at ease and relaxed. Further, I trust their tools and their cleanliness. While still doing my tattoo removal treatments, I asked if they offered packages for laser hair removal, and got another good deal for a few areas. I started doing those treatments, too, and I've the same positive experience. Reasons to love Dr Laser: - reliability of appointment times, and of personnel; - very nice and clean ambiance; - good prices; - easy-to-reach location, with validated parking. Bought a formosi deal for Dr. Laser and used for the skin rejuvenation treatment. Was treated very friendly by the staff and Joe made an effort to make me more comfortable and show me the back part of the office, which has nice seating, open windows and a fountain. The woman who was doing my treatment came out a few times to check on me, but I needed to be cleared by their out of house doctors office prior to beginning. Yoko (Sp?) was absolutely wonderful and was so adorable. She kept me abreast of everything she was doing and went through her recommendations after the procedure throughout the process. They offer great deals and apparently payment plans, although I didn't inquire into what those entailed. So far, I've seen a small improvement in my skin, especially my scars, and would look to go back if they were ever having a deal on the rejuvenation treatments. I have one treatment left (hair removal) and look forward to scheduling it. read more

Ok! Get ready, this is a long review but hopefully helpful to others.... I was referred to the Santa Monica LaserAway about a year ago for IPL treatments at Groupon cost. The front staff was consistently rude, condescending, hard to book through and the location manager even made fun of me when I asked for a tattoo removal consultation. (They also quoted me $8000 "with discounts included" but that's another story....) The location manager is the absolute worst and it's clear that her bad attitude rolls downs to the entire staff. The IPL treatments were a disaster and when I approached the manager with my face swollen and full of tears, she was defensive and full of blame. I'm not the one running the machines so I'm not really sure how it was my fault but she certainly wasn't backing down. SO, there I was embarrassed, upset and tired of being upsold and treated so poorly. I decided on a whim to go for a tattoo removal consult at DrLaser in Santa Monica. Enter Abigail. She was so kind and so patient with me as I asked her all of my questions and not once tried to upsell or rush me to make a decision. I decided to get the tattoo removal sessions and microneedling facials with PRP. The PRP has been absolutely incredible but, unfortunately, the tattoo removals have been excruciating -- even more so than I had expected. This was not the fault of the technician as they have all been incredibly kind and very well qualified for the procedures. I emailed Abigail to see what my options were since I had sessions left. As nice as she had been, part of me assumed she'd say, "sorry, but fine print states you're out of luck," but she didn't. In fact, she said, "here's your total left, what would you like to have done?" Easy as that!! Not for a second did she question my experience or make me feel bad -- she was the epitome of good customer service. I write the very detailed review NOT just to praise DrLaser and bash LaserAway, but rather to highlight the difference between the two. I was guilty of assuming they were the same and couldn't have been more wrong. LaserAway was every single thing the bad reviews stated and worse. DrLaser, on the other hand, holds up to being a reputable, fair, clean medical spa that others should try to emulate. If you're on the fence, go with DrLaser and ask for Abigail -- trust me. read more

I wish I could love this place. The facility is clean and comfortable, and they use good product (Obagi) for facial. Receptionists are nice and friendly. Easy parking and easy to make appointment. Seems like a good business overall...except I wasn't loving the treatment I received. Laser Hair removal: My 1st visit, I had a great result. My hair came off after a few weeks, and I notice they are getting thinner after a month or so. My 2nd visit... I had a different nurse. It was very disappointed with result. It was as if nothing ever happened- total waste of money. I guess depends on the nurse you get, results are very different. Facial: It was not great, but OK facial overall until I had exfoliation. I ended up getting a big dark painful bruise right next to my left eye. It still hurts a day after... hopefully it won't stain on my skin :( It's awful - I can't cover it up with make up because it's so big and dark. My nose and cheeks are also red and having irritation a day after the facial. I've done exfoliation many times, but never had problem like this before. NOTE: Later I received a message from the manager, apologize for my experience with facial. I'm too afraid to go back there for now... but appreciate the action taken. I'm adding one star back! - although I was not happy with this particular experience, they seems like a good business in general :) read more

The staff is so sweet, helpful, fun, and great at offering good deals on packages, special offers, and recommending treatment plans that are right for you. I highly recommend their laser hair removal services, their skin rejuvenation treatment, and their delightful and talented masseuse Megan. I have neck and back problems from a bad car accident and so I wasn't sure how a massage would be at a skin and laser center.. But I was so happily surprised!
