So I first went somewhere else which I thought would have rain boots but alas no. So before my next errand I happened to walk by the doc martens store and I remembered my daughter likes shoes from them. So I went in looking for rain boots and they directed me to these. They told me sizes run big so got me the one size below and above me since I am a half size. The bigger one was too big and not the color I wanted. At first I didn't like them but talking to the salesperson they told me it's pretty cushy and a great price which was true. I also have a hard time finding rain boots that fit my calves like the Hunter boots always too tight. So even though I wanted a bit higher these were easy to get in and out of and when I was walking in store didn't seem as heavy I first thought they were. I wound up getting a pair since I don't really enjoy shopping too much. They were a great price and I know they will last. read more

So the first time I was in a Dr Martens store was in Amsterdam. I promised myself that when I got home I would visit the first store I passed and this was it. They have a very eclectic selection of shoes and boots here and I wanted to own these. The staff here is amazing. These team members are incredibly helpful and enjoy working with the customers. I saw a pair that I wanted, showed them to the gentleman helping me and 60 seconds later I had them on my feet and let him know that I was purchasing this. It wasn't so easy for my wife but the staff worked with her with the same caring touch. The group here was amazing. (I said that twice.) A lot of these shoes are just not designed for my feet and the staff works very closely with you to make sure that you have a great experience here whatever the outcome. I have visited this location several times. I have always encountered knowledgeable and courteous staff members. I have found this location has styles that aren't available at others. As stated in reviews at other locations: When there is a sale, the prices are less, but no one who buys docs expects them to be cheap. Regardless, the value has never been location dependent. If you are looking see docs in person, try them on and buy them, you can accomplish that here. As this location is in NY, sales tax is applied, so the price for the same item is higher than if it were purchased in NJ. read more

Reading the reviews about this store location ahead of time gave me some pause, since the customer service experience seems very hit or miss. Despite that, I decided to risk it to take advantage of a rare opportunity: Trying on a variety of Docs with the benefit of being in person. More than once I've bought Docs online, only to discover they're too big or too small or my arch is being squished. They're very easy to resell online, but it's still a bit of a pain. I am so glad I powered through and visited this store. My salesperson Elizabeth was patient, chill, and made some wonderful suggestions. I was in the store for about an hour trying on different sizes of different styles and trying insoles in search of that perfect goldilocks moment. I ended up trying various sizes of four different styles, including a couple adorable ones with a flower buckle. I was tempted to get more than one, but Docs are a bit expensive! If nothing else, I'll know which size to buy online if I end up getting another style later. But I ended up going with the leather platform casual shoes with a padded collar. They're very versatile and feel like walking on clouds. Elizabeth took the time to explain the difference between the padded collar shoe as well, which I appreciated. It says online they fit true to size, but I sized down with these ones. If nothing else, I wish the shoe sizing was more consistent, but I'm so happy with my purchase and excited to wear them around. read more

Let me tell you I walk miles each day doing Yelp and finding new places. And I be wearing out my boots real quick, I am on my 4th pair and it's only August. Maybe Yelp needs to hook us up with deals and discounts ? Well walking of course I pass this Dr. Martens with stylish boots on the window it looks like a Boutique and not a Podiatrist and I was not sure if I should even go in because I was thinking what about the boots are like $599 or something ? Well I do go in and I see some $90 price tags. The boots look well made and there are lots to pick from. Some have too much flash for me but I did see one or two work boots that I was considering. But what stop me from buying is that I am looking for boots with solid heels, most of today's boots have hollow heals to provide cushioning and that's why they don't last. My hunt continues, hopefully I find them because my current pair wears out. read more

So many positive things to say. Jessie helped me get my first pair of docs (Jadon's) and was super helpful!! Gave great tips in choosing the size that fits best for me and how the feel of the boot changes over time. Recommended inserts which helped too. Jessie brought out a variety of sizes and different boots to help me pick what I needed, and it all came with great customer service!! The customer service here is terrible. The staff just seems inexperienced/unprofessional. When I finally got someone to help me he was so negative. "We don't have many sizes of that left. And we don't carry half sizes." Like ok, so do you have an 8 or not?? Then he comes back with a size 7. And I'm like no thank you. If anything I always go up in a boot not smaller...who does that?? Then AS I'm leaving he says, "you're not going to find an 8 anywhere." Like wtf. I just went online and got it instead. Good customer service means he would have just ordered it online for me. I am truly impressed with the staff at this location. But one person in particular who was OUTSTANDING was MARK. The store was crowded but he was extremely attentive and knew EXACTLY what I was looking for! Usually retail workers are not the warmest but I will recommend every person who loves these shoes to go here JUST because of him. The service at this location is top notch! My friend and I were greeted at what looked to be a somewhat busy time. Wes helped my friend figure out the best size for her since she wears a half size and Docs only come in whole sizes. After trying on a few pairs of shoes and boots she went with a sweet pair of 1460's in Cherry Red Arcadia. Beautiful boots, excellent fit, super nice and patient assistance. Thank god it wasnt me just from reading the reviews. The first second i walked in the salea associate was so super super super rude. Coming from another docs store in the city, oregon and jersey i have been greeted . The first second i walked in the associate told me to sanitize my hand without saying hello. Then when i went up to the register to do a return he didnt bother looking through the reciepts i had to make a return on my 2nd credit card i paid. He gave me a rude attitude like he didnt want to be there. Had the attitude i can't wait for the day to be over. Idk what return store policy they had i tried to return a pair of soles i never used or opened associate just rejected me of that return. Just his professionalism got me furious to the point never in my life will i ever go back to that location for anything ever again.
